What a beautiful home we had the pleasure of enjoying for one very fast week! The pictures can't convey the spectacular view this home affords. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute! It is beautfully decorated and the location is perfectly tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay. We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio, watching the birds gobble up the sugar from the feeders. St. John is surrounded by gorgeous beaches to enjoy, but it was at times difficult to leave the pool and patio at Casa Beuno! The house is only about 10 minutes from Coral Bay, a quiet small town with a few great restaurants, which we loved, and about 15-20 minutes from Cruz Bay where there are even more restaurants and shops. The fabulous beaches are just 5 miutes away! The house was stocked with snorkeling gear, beach chairs, floating chairs, coolers, everything you need. My husband and I and our kids (14 and 16) can't wait to return!

We stayed mid week in October and the house was pretty great. The view and the location was wonderful if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay but close enough where you don't have to drive forever to get there. The house was stocked very well with a bunch of beach towels, regular towels, hand soap, and a fully equipped kitchen. They had individual pods of coffee for the Breville Keurig machine but if you like your coffee strong, I suggest you bring your own coffee and use the french press they have there also. We used the three bedrooms in the the main house. All three have their own bathrooms, two of the rooms have large televisions and the king beds are very comfortable. We didn't use the bedroom downstairs that is separate from the main part of the house. This room was smaller then the others with a huge bathroom that you have to step outside of your room to get to. It would be a great room for older kids or for a couple who don't mind a queen bed and wants extra privacy from the group staying at the main house. We didn't have to use the air conditioner at all during the day, we just opened the windows and let the breeze flow. The washer and dryer was a high efficiency front loader and they supplied the detergent which was great! The living area was comfy and the outside seating area was wonderful too! The pool with nicely cushioned chairs was a great place to hang out after exploring the island. We had Ted from Ted's Supper Club come out one evening and he made an incredible five course meal! We ate on the patio dining table under the stars! Casa Bueno is a fabulous house with breathtaking views! Don't miss out on Skinny Legs in Coral Bay for great burgers and Waterlemon Cay and Francis Bay for great snorkeling!

What a wonderful home on St John with a perfect location. In the middle of the island with a gorgeous view and very secluded even though there is an ice cream shop and 2 restaurants within walking distance. Extremely well maintained and beautiful indoor/outdoor living. Beds are very comfortable and sheets are divine. Will defintely stay here again when we visit the islands. Can't get any better than this! A great house for families!

10 days at the GOOD HOUSE..Casa Bueno.what a fantastic place to stay while in st .Johns..location perfect, view unbelievable and the house is set up really great. Easy access to all the great beaches and the towns of coral or cruz bay....The 3 main bedrooms in the upper house are all fit for anyone with the highest standards of quality and beauty, the 1 bedroom downstairs is certainly a room of lesser standards so you need to have someone along that are very young, flexible and have lower standards than the others staying in this great house. The house is truly the GEM of the mountain but possibly just for three couples, we positivly would come back and rent again...I rate this property as a 12 on a scale of 1 thru 10 !!!!!! absolutly fantastic in everyway the 4 th downstairs bedroom gets a rating of a weak 6 and would never put myself or any of my guest in the position of having to bunk there. You will love your stay at this GREAT house and dealing with the owners is a very pleasant exsperience, hopefully they will rent to us again after I bashed the lower room,
Owner response:I apologize that the lower room was not up to your standards. We are slowy adding new bedding to each room and artwork. I have recently purchased some new bedding and artwork for the house. It unfortunately takes time and money. We have worked very hard to have the entire home kept in perfect condition since purchasing it in oct. 2009. We added a a/cto the downstairs room that was not there prior to purchasing home, and also added a new hot water heater. It is a great room for someone who appreciates quiet and likes to sleep late. Although the roosters seem to add to that problem. For that we added sound machines. It is one of my favorite rooms in the house because the bathroom is so unique. It is my daughters room and she loves it. she saw 2 deer running across the woods while showering. Beautiful view. I would personally like to know why you did not approve. I can be reached through Marc's email and he will forward it to me. Sincerely, proud owner of Casa Bueno

Just returned from an amazing stay. This place is gorgeous!! The view breathtaking. We felt at home immediately. From the roomy bedrooms to the fully stocked kitchen to the privacy we had. This place was heaven on earth. We snorkeled with turtles everyday and swam each morning and afternoon. Bordeaux is away from it all yet easily accessible to beaches and town. Salt Pond and Lameshur were the best this week.Skinny Legs burgers -I miss you. Colorful Corner helped guide us home. I would recommend this beautiful house to all. Thanks for sharing Wellborns - enjoy your piece of paradise. Thanks for the memories!!!

We had an amazing time at Casa Bueno, even thought Hurricane Earl robbed us of 2 days! One thing we can say... not only is this villa beautiful and quaint but is amazingly hurricane proof. 100 mph winds didn't even make the shutters rattle!! All in all we had a great week and can't wait to come back for another week with friends!

My wife and I, and two other couples stayed at Case Bueno in July 2010. The description of the property on this website does not do it justice. It is like an Italian villa with amazing views of Tortola and the northeast part of the island, including part of Coral Bay. The bedrooms are beautiful, and each have a private bath. The nightly breezes from the huge covered porch into the house are incredible. We hope to come back again soon.

We loved Casa Bueno! We were there with our two teenage children who really enjoyed having their very own bedroom and bathroom. This home is absolutely gorgeous and the view like none other on the island. We grilled out most evenings, enjoying the deck - table for 8, sofa sitting area, pool and yes, the view. Delightful in every way! The breezes throughout made it comfortable with no need for air conditioning. Fresh flowers were such a nice touch and made us feel welcome immediately. It really was perfect and a vacation that we will forever cherish in our memory. The central location was great too. We would do it all over again!

Having been coming to STJ since 1977 I have pretty well stayed all over the island, this year's stay at Casa Buena was by far the best. My wife and I were looking for a place that was secluded yet accessiable and this truly fit the bill, the quiteness of the location was remarkable. The pictures that are posted on the VRBO site for this villa do not do the place justice, it is better than the pics. and that is not always the case. The owners have clearly put their own touches to the residence and it shines because of it. Carla and I thank you for making it available to us.

The villa is GORGEOUS and the view is breathtaking! The site is secluded feeling, yet a close drive to all the best beaches and activities. The property manager was SO helpful and the condition of the home was spotless. We were ready to re-book immediately for next year, but the week was taken already! Don't hesitate if YOUR week is available to "lock it in"... you'll be very glad you did.

We stayed in Casa Bueno for 10 glorious days. It was our 8th trip to the Island and, by far, the best. It is difficult to add anything to what all has been said in previous reviews but we certainly add our own enthusiasm at being able to stay in such a lovely home. It is a home and we appreciate the owners sharing it with us.The feel of the house is warm and welcoming and every thought has been given to equiping it more than adequently with first rate amenities. We found the location to be perfect for travel anywhere on the Island. We discovered Sweet Plantains, a small, unassuming restaurant in Coral Bay where we had a very special meal and, amongst other things, took an interesting four-wheel drive trip down into Little Lameshur Bay,a favorite beach. One also needs to drive out toward the East End to visit Miss Vie's and have some of her conch fritters. Marc Miller was of great help, meeting us at Starfish and showing us the way. We knew we could call on him for anything that we might need but everything was so perfect we never needed to call. We feel very lucky to have discovered Casa Bueno and certainly hope to be able to stay there again.

We stayed at Casa Bueno from 2/13/10-2/20/10. The home is a wonderful escape; truly feels like a home away from home with its cozy yet luxurious atmosphere and fantastic mid-island location. There is nothing like grilling dinner next to the pool or enjoying your morning coffee along with watching the haze burn off over Tortola in the distance. You are minutes away from Maho Bay’s relaxing beach and the trail to Waterlemon Cay with its fantastic snorkeling. A quick drive brings you to the town of Coral Bay; Skinny’s for a great blue cheese bacon burger and cold beer or Sweet Plantains for a dining experience that you will not soon forget, don’t pass up their short ribs! Marc could not have been more helpful during our stay and Ali at Villa Food had the kitchen stocked with food and drinks on our arrival. For a vacation that you will not forget enjoy the wonderful Casa Bueno on your next trip to beautiful St. John.

We stayed at Casa Bueno from 2-7-2010 to 2-14-2010 and from the moment we stepped on the cover deck and seen the view of the BVI it was going to be a great place to stay. Than Marc took us inside and gave us a tour of the house and I must say it is a Beautiful home. It was very well equip for our stay. It was very easy to get to Cruz Bay and to the beach of your choice. On a scale of 1-10 this place is a 12!

I can't add much about the house that hasn't been said, Casa Bueno was fantastic, the views are very picturesque and it is absolutely private. Everything in the house was very clean when we arrived, fresh linens, towels and fresh flowers were in every room. During our stay of 10 days we enjoyed perfect sunny days at Maho Bay, only a 6 minute drive from Casa Bueno. Marc Miller, the property manager, was outstanding to deal with. Marc met us at Starfish Market, one of the local grocery stores.. Our car was so full of luggage that Marc loaded up the groceries in his jeep! He led us up the mountain to Casa Bueno and helped carry everything inside as well. Throughout our stay we were in communication with Marc as needed, he is very prompt in returning calls. As a last note, we accidentally left behind our 5 year olds favorite blanket. All I had to do was email Marc and he gladly tracked it down for us. Kudos to the owners of Casa Bueno for a great house and a great property manager!

Paradise! My husband and I stayed at this home November 2009 and will definitely consider staying there again. Making inquires and eventually arrangements with the manager, Marc, went smoothly. We flew into St. Thomas and rented a jeep (which I highly recommend considering the steepness and all around fun of the roads on St. John). Marc met us at the St. John ferry and led us up the beautiful winding road to our home for the week. Pictures do not do this place justice. It is fantastic. The home is kept immaculate. There were fresh flowers in every room, plentiful, clean linens and towels, comfortable furnishings and a complete kitchen. We enjoyed the unbelievable privacy of this place. Neighbors cannot be seen or heard—just birds and tree frogs who lend island ambience to the place.

My husband and I were guests at Casa Bueno October 26 through November 3, 2009. We had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay there. Casa Bueno is a beautiful, quality villa with gorgeous views and delightful breezes. The view is astounding and can be seen from every room and all the deck areas. Colorful sunrises and moonrises were attention grabbers, but simply watching the boating activity in Sir Francis Drake Channel was an enjoyable pastime as well. The breezes were just right… never so strong to send us inside, yet the house was kept very comfortable without using any air conditioning. Perched high near the center of St John with the easiest of access, yet the ultimate in privacy, Casa Bueno is convenient, comfortable, and very classy. Colorful flowers and a natural landscape, upholstered seating, wonderful king beds, antique furnishings, unique appointments, and a useful kitchen, all add to the ambiance. We have learned that the new owners have yet to stay at Casa Bueno, and we feel a bit guilty for having enjoyed their new vacation place so much. We would return to this villa without a moment’s hesitation.

We stayed a week at Casa Bueno and had an absolute wonderful time. The home was lovely, quiet, secluded and had a great view. We have visited the islands several times and this is a home we would return to. This would be a great place for families or couples to enjoy. It is located on the quiet side of the island and some of the restaurants we closed during the off season. The good snorkeling beaches were close by. Lienster Bay is an area I would recommend to snorkel. It is a 1 mile walk but a quiet area with great snorkeling and plenty of sea turtles. Trunk Bay is very close also but somewhat touristy. There are several restaurants in Coral Bay but I would recommend Island Blue's crab bisque and live music. Even without the table outside we did enjoy most meals on the deck. The house was really nice with every thing you need and the beds were fantanstic. This is not a home you would stay in and wonder if there is something better available. We will stay here again. Our family was very fortunate to stay at Casa Bueno for two weeks. We were THRILLED with Casa Bueno. The house is beautiful and the panoramic view is incredible. The house and view are what comes to mind when you conjure up an image of paradise. The home has a large living/dining/kitchen area and three 'master' bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and two of the three have a private balcony. Each of the three bedrooms has a beautiful view. The fourth bedroom has a separate entrance and is the only room on the lower level. Its bathroom has a beautiful view. The fourth bedroom would be fine for someone who would like extra privacy. The home is situated on a mountain, surrounded by beautiful natural and landscaped areas and is very private. The location was superb, close to Coral Bay and our favorite beaches including Maho, Francis and Leinster (i.e., Watermelon Cay) Bays. The house has plenty of decking which includes multiple seating areas and a very nice pool--concrete rather than fiberglass. Wonderful cross breezes cooled our evenings, resulting in very comfortable slumbers. I have been to St. John three times and Casa Bueno is by far our favorite lodging. The only change (which has been previously mentioned) that I would recommend is to put a dining table/chairs in the covered deck area.

We stayed here from 8/2 to 8/9. We loved it. I can't think of anything that was missing from the previous post except to say the pictures don't do it justice. It's a wonderful location. We never used the AC the entire week we were there - the breezes were great. We enjoyed the pool. It is very quiet up on the mountain at night. Marc Miller was great - he met us at the ferry dock when we arrived and called a few times to make sure everything was fine. Loved the place and can't wait to go back.

our party of 4 were 1st rental guests at casa bueno from 7/26 to 8/2. short easy drive from centerline rd at overlook via. level parking pad on terrace level with room for 2 jeeps and turnaround. there's a hose for washing off beach sand before going inside. there's a bedroom & bath plus a great storage room with coolers and beach chairs on that level. the villa towers 3 stories over the parking deck and there's extensive stone and tile work, & nice landscaping. entry is via an open stair to the main level. the landing at the top of the stairs becomes a continous covered veranda across the front of the house and onto the pool deck (thus seating near pool is either open or covered). on the main level there is a great room in middle and king bedroom on each end. the great room has "double sliders" with full screens that all fold away into walls so all great room and kitchen are open to the "view". face out and your jaw drops, but for the curvature of the earth you could see africa with good binocs! you see mamey and ajax peaks and all their villas to the left, over the ridges you see sir fran drake sound and tortolla, straight out front you seethe coral bay cross rd, the ball field, seagrape, east end and all the islands to the east including virgin gorda. you see the n end of coral bay and hurrricane hole but unfortunately a lovely virgin mountainside blocks the view to the south. no sunset balls but there are the lightings of coral bay, adjoinig mts and nearby islands. wow! great room has plenty of comfortable seating tv.cd/dvd etc, vaulted ceiling with 3 paddle fans. kitch has all needed cookery, flatware, plates, glasses etc. nice refig no ice maker but probably a dozen ice trays. there's a circular stone stair case that leads to another level and the 4th bedroom and bath with vaulted ceiling and a queen bed. the 2 bedrooms on main level were of equal size and had big slider to their patios and baths to rear with large showers and 2 windows. both had king beds with supper bedding and linings and 2 separate windows in addition to the sliders. the left br had a vaulted ceiling and a massive walk in closet while the right br had flat ceiling (another room above), about 8 feet of closet and a private balcony. there were ceiling fans everywhere. great room and all bedrooms had split remote controlled ac but we never turned on. the breezes were heavenly and at times almost too much. concrete pool sized like most stj villas, about 5ft deep. only real neg for
