This area closes off for separation or opens up to the main house to provide the space for everyone to gather and be together. The back yard is big enough , with comfortable dining and lounging furniture, for all to gather, kids and adults, and relax in the mountain fresh air. Child's play-yard and 2-tiered deck for adult relaxing. The home is set between 2 lakes, one at the bottom of the street, great for winter or summer fun. Only minutes from golf, boating, hiking, shopping, fine dining, Hancock Shaker Village, The Colonial Theatre and Pittsfield's own baseball park and team. Also just minutes from Theater, Arts, Museums, and ski resorts. Jiminy Peak Ski Resort also has summer fun with alpine slides, rock climbing, swing shot and more and Bosquet boast a summer water park. A 20 minute drive will get you to Tanglewood and The Norman Rockwell Museum. Approximately 2.5 hours from NYC or Boston.
Our location is unique in that we are very close to all different types of activities that fit anyone's interest in any season of the year. With the breathtaking mountains and beautiful foliage you will have a great time just relaxing and enjoying the views of the area and be only 2 minutes from RT 7, which is the main road to get to most destinations in the area. This great home is also less than 5 minutes from the hospital.
The season changes are amazing in the Berkshire Mountains. The fall shows off our beautiful mountains in spectacular colors and all the charming country farms are bustling with hay rides, apple picking and pumpkin fests. Winter provides an abundance of snow and we are minutes from some of the best ski resorts and a walk away from ice fishing on the lake. Spring jumps alive with the new and upcoming season of the summer events and the summer provides so many different things to do you won't know where to begin.

This was our 2nd time renting the house for our annual family get together. The house has plenty of space and it is great for families with children of different ages because the teens have room to do their own thing, adults and small children have their own room, etc. The house is very clean, well maintained and overall by far the best value you will find in the area. There is plenty of bedding, towels, which is great for you to not have to worry about bringing more things than neccessary. etc. We always visit in December, but it is in a great location for all of the summer activity. The owner is very helpful ensuring she is thorough with all of the house rules, etc. I would highly recommend this house!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Just returned from a 4 day vacation in the Berkshires. We went to Tanglewood, The Mount and Shaker Village. The house is located in an area where we never drove more than 20 minutes to get to these destinations. The house is huge and with 12 of us and we all had a bed and felt like we had our own space. The owner was also very gracious in answering my 10 emails full of questions. Our only problem was it was very hot while we were there and the house doesn't have AC. I would imagine the Berkshires is milder than being in the city but it was still hot at night. That was our only issue, other than that we all loved the house and the location of the house. Thank you!!!
