The apt Corte Fatinelli enjoys a privileged position: you will be sleeping within 5 mins walking from everything. You will live a piece of history and cuddled by the silence of one of the most beautiful cities in Italy.

In the heart of the historical center of Lucca (inside the walls), our beautiful apartment is located within the 'Fatinellis building' (='Corte Fatinelli'). This was built at the end of the 15th Century and it still owned by the Sardi-Fatinellis.

From the lounge you can enjoy the sight of the Guinigi Tower, the tower symbol of the city.

This was the apt. where the famous Santa Zita lived and worked.

Our guests have a reserved parking lot in front of the entrance of the building (very rare in Lucca!).
Please note that, beside loading and uploading trips, in order to be able to drive inside the walls of the city, you will be asked to buy a "driving permit" at the Municipality of Lucca (costs: from 10Euros/day to 50Euros/2weeks' permit).
Inside the apt. you will find all the amenities you may need for a perfect stay (fan, microwave, toaster, boiler, washing machine, dishwasher, internet USB Key, etc.).

I have always travelled for leisure and for business, this is why I love my business: I know what my guests' needs are and I like to make their staying as perfect as they want it! I've lived in the U.S.A. (1992 - 9 months), in Belgium (2001 - 6 months), in the U.K. (2005 - 6 months), in Qatar (in 2006 - 7 months) and in Brazil (2007 - 9 months). I speak 4 languages fluently.

Why the Owner Chose Lucca

We started the idea of renting this apt. due to the fact that we were receiving so many requests by friends, relatives and friends of our friends every year. Everybody loved it! The history of this apt. and the efforts and love we put in restoring it were appreciated by everybody. We really know we did a good job every time our guests don't want to leave.

The Unique Benefits of this Historical Apartment

The feeling of living in an apt. which is part of the history of our beautiful town will give our guests a unique feeling. Also, there are not many places inside the walls of Lucca where you can have a reserved car park.

    • The apartment is centrally located, off of a quiet street within a few blocks of many shops, restaurants, markets and Lucca's beautiful wall. VERY quiet at night, so you will sleep well! Kitchen is well equipped, and beds are comfortable. The 50 steps up to the apartment may be challenging for some, but my 89-year old mother handled them fine, sometimes twice a day. Luigi and Sylvana took excellent care of us, recommending several restaurants (Angelo's - molto bene!) and many sites. Lucca is a special place and the Luchese are very friendly, altho it helps to know a little Italian! We took the train everywhere--I would recommend this over trying to drive inside the walls of Lucca. With all the tourists and bicylists, cars have quite a difficult time navigating the streets. Another great thing about Lucca--no motorinis or vespas inside the walls, which are a plague in many Italian cities. Buono viaggio!
