This quiet barrier island is a gem waiting to be discovered. Once used as a winter retreat for the "Millionaire's Club", it is now an unspoiled vacation spot for your family to enjoy. Due to state regulation, only 35% of the island can ever be developed, so the pace here is a little more quiet than our neighbors on St. Simons and Sea Island. Biking is a popular past time, with bike trails circling most of the island. Want a little more activity? Take a horseback riding trip or visit Summer Waves, the island's water park. Like to golf? The island has 63 holes for you to enjoy.
Our unit is located at the Jekyll Oceanfront Resort. This unique condo is a "lockout" unit and can be rented as a one bedroom villa, a one room hotel room, or a three bedroom, three bathroom unit for the entire family. When you walk out of the back of the unit, you are 20 feet from the beach with views of St. Simons Island across the sound. Each bedroom has two double beds, its own balcony/lanai and a private bath. There is a fully stocked kitchen in the villa if you would like to eat in. Or enjoy the ease of dining on site at the resort's restaurant. At low tide, you can enjoy walking on the beach and swimming in the ocean. When high tide comes in, watch the waves crash on the rocks right outside the lanai or take the opportunity to swim in the resort pool.

My husband and I are native Atlantans and currently reside in Dunwoody. I have been coming to the St. Simons area my entire life. My husband fell in love with the area during a visit to St. Simons over New Years Weekend 2000. On an impulse, we purchased our first property on St. Simons during that fateful trip and it was the best decision that we have made. We love visiting the area with our 2 girls and can't wait for the day that we can spend even more time on the coast.
Why the Owner Chose Jekyll Island
We have spent many years on St. Simons and came over to Jekyll one day to view this property. We were amazed at how peaceful the island was and the lack of traffic. We felt like it was such a great place to bring a family with all of the bike trails and practically empty beaches. We loved the history of the island with the "Millionaire's Club" and the effort that is going into the island to revitalize the area.
