Fantastic mountain views from 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath home in Gated Golf Course community- Mill Creek Country Club within short driving distance to Ashville, Smokey Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, gem mining, lakes, fishing and cool mountain air.
This almost new (2005) lovely home has a huge front porch 8' X 50' with porch rocking chairs, chaise lounge and glass picnic table with chairs for dinner as you watch the sun sinking over the Nanathahala mountains. Large Living Room with sectional couch with pull out queen sized bed, recliner, TV with satellite, DVD, VCR and video library including children's movies.
Storm door allows you to keep front door open for mountain views at all times from living room. Vaulted ceilings in Living room and kitchen. Kitchen is fully equipped with newer refrigerator with ice, crushed ice and water through the door, smooth top stove with microwave above, dishwasher, disposal and all dishes, flatware and small appliances. Cookware is adequate and newer.
Dining room has rattan glass top table and rattan chairs with hanging chandelier overhead. The bedrooms are arranged as two separate master suites and are the same size, each having its own bathroom which is almost as large as the bedroom. One bedroom has a king sized bed, while the other has a queen sized bed.
The queen sized bedroom has a 19" TV and entertainment center with plenty of storage space in the bedrooms, walk in closets and bathrooms. Both bathrooms have large walk in showers with dual seating in each shower. It also has double sinks in each bathroom and adequate linens.

Why the Owner Chose Franklin
We love gems and minerals and Franklin is the Gem and mineral Capitol of the US. We had gone to the many gem mines and shows in Franklin and fell in love with the beauty, nature and proximity to Smoky Mountains, Ashville and cool summer days and nights in this beautiful area. We looked around to build and discovered Mill Creek Country Club - a gated Championship 18 hole Golf Community with lovely small lake and stream winding through the course with weeping willows on the banks of the stream. The views were outstanding and we chose to build our vacation home in 2005. We chose a 2 story for the fantastic views and wanted a covered deck facing the mountains across the front of the house so we have a 50' X 8' deck with lovely rocking chairs and chaise lounge for viewing the mountain vistas. We live in Florida and do not get to enjoy our vacation home as much as we imagined, so we decided to rent it out until our schedule permits more personal use in the future.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Go gem mining, hiking, mountain bike riding, paved roads for walking, riding down to the lovely lake with Canadian geese and lovely gazebo-you will probably see wildlife on the way. Play golf on a Championship 18 hole golf course or play tennis on the courts in Mill Creek Country Club. There is also a pro shop and restaurant in Mill Creek Country Club. Nearby there is a great hospital, shopping, gem shops, restaurants, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, grocery stores, post office. Mill Creek is a short drive to the lovely Joyce Kilmer National Forest and fantastic lakes with boating and fishing galore.

My name is Sue Rowls and I own the vacation home with my brother Michael Rowls, who lives in Columbia, SC. I live in south Florida. My brother and I both grew up in Indianapolis, IN. We built our vacation home in 2005 and unfortunately are not able to use it as much as we planned at this time, but hope to in the future.
