From sunrise to sunset (and all hours in between), you'll love this house and its quiet location on the east side of beautiful Sail Bay.
The number one priority when you go on vacation is to HAVE FUN! This house is stocked with all the amenities to make that wish come true! We have beach cruiser bikes in the garage for a leisurely ride and the choice of 14 miles of bike paths. If you feel like relaxing on the beach and working on your sun tan, we have beach towels and sand toys to keep the kids busy so take advantage of miles of sandy beaches. After a long day of beach fun, come home and have a drink in one of our margarita glasses and hang out by the fire pit in the backyard to watch the sunset!
In the morning, enjoy your coffee or tea with a pelican or kayaker as the sun gently rises on this blissfully quiet beach. But be forewarned -- time spent in front of the panoramic windows to the bay and the ocean turn into hours as the catamarans, sailboats and windsurfers fascinate
you!
With nearly 2000 sq. ft. that includes three bedrooms and two full baths, there's plenty of room for everyone, though you might fight over the extra sleeping accommodations on the veranda with a wall of windows to the bay. There is a private fourth bedroom suite with a queen bed and private bathroom on the patio level.
All new beds and linens will ensure a comfortable night's sleep for everyone. The great room boasts more than windows and views -- there's a large flat panel HDTV with all the channels you won't have time to watch, a DVD player and enough videos and board games to keep everyone busy after the sun goes down. (There's another TV in the master bedroom.) There's seating for eight at the dining room table, plus the family-sized kitchen is fully stocked and has another dining nook surrounded by windows to the bay and a table for four. An oversized two car garage keeps your cars off the street, and includes a full size washer and dryer for your use.
Inside the private fenced yard is an outdoor shower, patio with grill, and oversized sand box to keep the kids safe and happy all the time. Everything from the beach towels to body wash is provided for your convenience.
With all these amazing amenities, you might be tempted to hang out at home all day-- but don't forget you're in the middle of one of the most exciting beach towns in San Diego! Covering more than 4,000 acres, Mission Bay is the largest man-made aquatic park in the country. You can walk from the back yard out your private gate and directly access the boardwalk and the bay.
SeaWorld, Belmont Park's historic Rollercoaster, Crystal Pier and the shops, restaurants and nightlife of Pacific Beach and Mission Beach are all within easy reach.
Rent a motorboat, kayak or sailboat. Pedal to Mariner's Point, Perez Cove, Stoney Point, Government Island or Fiesta Island to witness endangered birds like the California least tern and Belding's savannah sparrow. Have a picnic in your own backyard or walk to Crown Point for shooting hoops and playground swings.
Easy access to Highways 5 and 8 make it a breeze to get anywhere and everywhere else you'd like to go. The famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Gaslamp and Little Italy, Petco Park, Birch Aquarium, Legoland and the Wild Animal Park are barely 10 to 30 minute drives away.
Please note that this is NOT a "party house." Although directly on the bay, we ask that you respect the privacy of the neighborhood by refraining from unusually loud noise or behavior at all times. No smoking inside. No pets. We do our best to keep the online calendar and listing updated -- please call or email if you have any questions.

We purchased our home not as a vacation rental, but as our retirement home because of its wonderful and peaceful location, and it's right on the beach! We haven't rented the house to vacationers before last year, but retirement is still a few years away, so we'd be happy to share our slice of heaven with you in the meantime.

Fabulous Comfortable home, beautifully located

This home is VERY comfortable, and is VERY well equipped. The manger, Rowena, could not be more helpful. There is LOTS of space, with very large open living room and a sun room with a view to die for. The house is not fancy, but is really good for a beach house. The furnishings are comfortable, and the beds are very good. We loved the little touches, the doors all electronically coded to our combination, so we didn't need keys, the 2 garage door openers to borrow (a double garage), the nice fruit bowl and cheese, baguette and wine for us at check in, the full assortment of condiments in the refrigerator and cabinets, so you didn't have to buy the basics all over again, and best of all, the beach cruiser bikes to borrow, along with the kayaks. We enjoyed the fire pit, and the beach chairs just ouside the doors. The downstairs bedroom and bath are a bit musty, but the space was large, and it worked for our small family reunion. You are 5 minutes to sea world, 15 to the airport, and close to Trader Joes and Von's. I hope to return.

We were in town for a conference downtown but wanted to stay somewhere away from the chaos. This house was perfect. Excellent sunsets everynight. Close to pacific beach which has better and less crowded restaurants and clubs than the gaslamp or downtown. Used the bikes to enjoy the boardwalk right out the back deck. It was about a 10-15 minute drive to the convention center. Very relaxing and hope to stay there again.

We have rented homes before but none have been so well outfitted. Everything we needed was here upon arrival (basic toiletries, beach towels, etc). There were more than enough toys and books to keep our active 3 year old busy- even a tricycle! Everything was clean, and the location was gorgeous as well as incredibly convenient. Our stay at this property far exceeded our expectations. Additionally, the owner was beyond attentive to us from the time of booking (6 months out) through the end of our visit.

Very nice home right on the beach of beautiful Sail Bay. Roomy porch on bay side faces west (sunsets!) and gets a wonderful breeze off the water. Great location - ten minutes from the airport and next to Mission and Pacific beaches. Many nice restaurants in the area. Just a few steps out the door to boardwalk and waterfront. Owner thought of everything: kayaks, bikes, fire pit, grille, boogie boards, portable cooler, beach towels, beach umbrella and more. Will definitely consider staying again. And plenty of room to bring along some friends or grandparents.

We stayed at this property in Mid-April (5 adults and 2 children). It was ideal. The property was exactly as advertised, sparkling clean, well maintained and fully equipped. In addition the owner was easy to work with and extremely helpful. Rowena knew we were arriving on a later flight and even had a bottle of wine and a french baguette waiting for us. We highly recommend this property

I live in San Diego looking for a house in the beach for our family reunion and found this house. It was a perfect place that I wanted for my children and my relatives who are coming to join us. The house has every thing for all ages: our nephew loved the kayak and used them every time they have a chance. Our daughter family loved riding the bike. My grandson loved the sand box, myself love the view and the relax asmosphere. All of us had a great time here. Rowena tried to provide us everything we asked for. The arranging of the house is cozy and comfortable makes us feel as we are right at home. House location and the view is gorgeous. In total, there is no complain at all. I hope that we can have chance to come back in the future. Thanks Rowena. We all had good time, very relax vacation and a memorable reunion. We just got back home and this place is incredible. My family had so much fun and the sunset views were fantastic. My 4-year old daughter woke us up every morning so we can start the new day and walk along the beach. The description provided by the owners is spot on and everything you need will be there. I will definitely be trying to book our next vacation there. Thanks for a great time!

We really enjoyed our week in San Diego. This house has amazing bay views (great sunsets!). It was so fun to watch sailboats, water-skiers, paddleboats, and rowers from the veranda. It has a very spacious great room and well-appointed bedrooms. Plenty of room for 4 adults, a toddler and a baby. Our toddler could play safely in the bay and we could stroll to a nearby playground. There are miles of paths to walk & bike on. We enjoyed grilling in the backyard. Rowena, the owner, was very easy to work with. Thanks for a fun week!

What a fantastic place. My young family spent a week there but wished we could have stayed a month. Walking/biking distance to a lot of fun. Plenty of beach for the kids to roam and the gentle bay water was ideal for little ones. We took the kayak out onto the bay every afternoon (after watching the water skiers every morning). The house itself was quite acceptable. Clean and comfortable. The kitchen was loaded. The place felt spacious and had a fantastic full view of Sail Bay from most of the rooms. We definitely recommend this listing.
