Welcome to the most unique and stunning ocean front gated private villa in the area. Our new casa, finished in 2009 is a luxurious retreat away from your everyday world that is located in a very quiet and peacefully secure area with an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean.
The 3100 square foot three story casa is an open-floor plan architectural wonder that includes three master bedroom suites, each with an extremely comfortable king-size memory foam bed, remote controlled air-conditioning with a private adjoining bathroom. Beautiful tile flooring on the main two floors and terraces with an interior non-skid staircase that brings you up to the second and third floors lends a contemporary feel to the casa that sleeps 8.
On the first floor you will find an over-sized fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a large pantry. An astonishing breakfast bar and a nearby dining table area compliment the kitchen. There is a half bath just off the kitchen. The living area invites you to sit and relax on the leather furniture and enjoy the view out the huge sliding glass doors to the pool area and covered terrace. One master suite is off the main living area with its own private patio area. The entire first floor, including the covered terrace is wheelchair accessible. The covered terrace has a 15’ overhang which beckons you outside to enjoy the outdoor bar area that includes a Weber gas barbeque and a ceiling fan for a little added breeze. Perfect for those afternoon margaritas. This area also has a half bath near the pool for convenience. There is over 2200 square feet of tiled exterior terraces. Past the pool is one of four sun decks, this one sporting a compass rose to give you your bearings.
The second floor consists of two more ocean view master suites/baths, a center bonus room and two terraces. All master suites are fitted with Egyptian cotton bedding and soft plush towels. All windows and most doors are screened. The bonus room sports two leather futons that can be converted into extra sleeping. There is a small reading library and a selection of music & movie CDs available. The front terrace on the second floor is partially shaded by a beautiful wood pergola and is surrounded by a wood & rope railing. The custom-made woodwork throughout the home is gorgeous. Maid service comes twice weekly.
The third floor is an open secluded area for sunbathing and the best place for viewing the dramatic sunrises and sunsets. Watching the migrating whales, manta rays, porpoises and the dive bombing local bird life is a full time job. This area of beach also serves as a nesting ground for returning sea turtles.
The 38’ x 18’ pool is big enough for lap swimming or just cooling off. There is a sturdy handrail down the steps into the 5’ deep pool that has underwater lighting for night swims. The pool boy comes twice weekly.
The casa is enclosed within its own security walls with a locking front driveway gate and secure parking inside the structure. It is surrounded by undeveloped building lots on all sides, so it is extremely private. There is a new washer and dryer outside the casa under an attached pergola. There are seven ceiling fans throughout the home. A UV water filtration system is installed for pure water as well as a cold bottled water dispenser.
Just steps away from the casa is the exclusive Grand Bay Hotel’s world class 27 hole golf course (Golf Magazine Gold Medal Award winner) with it’s own great clubhouse that serves a wonderful Sunday brunch. The Grand Bay also has a variety of dining options. A 45 minute drive into Manzanillo brings two more exceptional golf courses for your enjoyment and modern shopping. A half mile walk brings you to Coco Cabanas, the local gathering place that serves up wonderful meals and drinks. The nearby towns of Chiuatlan, Barra de Navidad and Melaque have all wonderful shopping areas where the local fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables are stocked in abundance.

Why the Owner Chose Barra de Navidad
This area of Mexico is very tropical and green with an abundance of agriculture. The 5 mile long Playa de Coco Beach area is covered with coconut palms, bananas, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We have enjoyed meeting the local people and have made many friends.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Watching the migrating whales, manta rays, porpoise and the dive bombing, fish catching pelicans and local bird life is the only full time job here. The local temperature varies between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit year round. Local fresh seafood is in abundance. It IS paradise!

Five friends from Oregon USA have found the jewel of Mexico. We came here to spend relaxation time and decided this was the place to build. Traveling all over Mexico, this is the area we came back to time and again because of its beautiful lands and people.

We were there for a week for a family break and we loved our experience. The house is great and the area is perfect if you want to rest and be quiet. The area is nice to be visited too we went to Barra de Navidad,Melaque and Manzanillo and also made the road from Guadalajara wich is an adventure by itself! Waves are huge and great to have fun but not just to swim. Again we loved our trip and will be there again!

We just finished a week long skimboarding tour of the Pacific coastline and had the trip of a lifetime. Melaque and Barra Navidad were filled with friendly people and we felt very safe the entire trip. The home is amazing and the pictures on VRBO don't do it justice.. we will come back to this house everytime. We are regular vrbo users and owners ourselves, after staying in an Ocean Front RockStar House like this, who would ever stay in a hotel again?? Thank you Dave and Susan for a great trip and a wonderful rental home- you have created a gem on the Pacific!

My wife and I stayed here for an extended week in August. This villa was outstanding, everything we could have ever dreamed of was part of our experience. The unobstructed view of the surrounding area was pristine. We found everything clean, in order and well maintained. I recommend taking the water taxi into Barra. We found all of the locals to be very friendly and accomodating. You can not go wrong staying at this property, it was the vacation of a lifetime and we can't wait to go back!

Words can not describe the glorious feeling I get when I think of my time at the Villa. The Villa offers unbeatable privacy with nature as the only distraction. The view alone is breathtaking, but the bonus of waking up in the morning to see dolphins somersaulting in the waves - amazing! Which is only the opening act for the exotic flowers, schools of floundering fish, and crabs zig zagging their way back to their hidey holes. My personal favorite was twinkling fireflies after spectacular sun sets (insert ohs and ahs). Barra De Navidad does not disappoint. There are tons of shops and eateries to occupy your day. I recommend the margaritas at the restaurant in the Hotel la Alondra. Delish!

Our stay at the villa was top-notch. The accomodations, supplies, and communication what the house had to offer was unbeatable. You can hear the ocean from most rooms in the house and the view from the pool and deck areas is remarkable. The owners were extremely easy to arrange and work with. I went with a group of friends and we had the best time. The house was beautiful and fully equipped with anything you could want or need. The pool and the view were perfect! We even saw dolphins! Mary's restaurant was only a short drive and the food was amazing, we went back several times. The attractions were a short drive and filled the day with shopping, swimming, fishing, and eating. The best part of the house is the location. Whether you want to hang out by the pool and relax or go for full day in town, you are in the best spot for both! I would highly recommend this house to others. The owners are very helpful and give great advice for where to eat and what to do. October was an excellent time to go!
