Take a walk on the beach,Swim in our pool, relax in the Hot Tub, do some shelling, visit Brookgreen Gardens or Myrtle Beach. Let's not forget golf (Visit Waccamaw Golf Trail courses on the web) to plan and play a few rounds or make Pawleys your base and do some sightseeing in Historic downtown Georgetown or Charleston, both just short drives away. The weather can always surprise you but Pawleys is graced with a mild climate and nice days most of the year. Spring is always nice and average Sep Oct and Nov highs are 85, 77, and 69 respectively. Just great fall weather. So get out & do something fun!
Our Low Country style home at the beach is fully equipped to be the place for your next family vacations. We are located in North Litchfield Beach in Pawleys Island. After staying here you will know why this is the oldest Seaside Community in the country, simply put it's because the Beach, the community and the ambiance of the area are terrific. You will notice on arrival the professional decorator input from lamps to wall hangings, to furnishings and accessories. You will find the home both comfortable and well cared for. Upon departure you and your family will be looking forward to your next return to Beachy Keen. While the pictures included do not do the entire home justice, they are very representative, so please look them over.
If you want a lot of nightlife or crowds of people, no problem they are just 18 miles away, but if you want peace and quite, a nice family beach, great dining, wonderful golf courses and beautiful gardens, relax you are there. The family beach to walk and play at is just out the front door and to the left. Great dining and golf are located just a short drive away in Pawleys, Murrells Inlet and Georgetown. When you are a little exhausted from our grand and spacious 8 miles of beaches, walk back and enjoy the private pool and hot tub in your yard or just relax in the Pawleys Island hammock in the shade of the palm trees.
When you arrive you will find towels, soap and shampoo in all 6.5 baths. You will also find all the beds have linen and are made. In the Bike Room on the ground floor you will find not only the bikes, but miscellaneous sand toys, pool toys, balls, nets for crabbing, and beach chairs. The pool area is well equipped with both sunning and seating chairs and both the pool and hot tub are ready for you to use.
A brief description of the home by area is as follows:
General: The house is equipped with a two zone (Floor one and Top floor) HVAC units. All bedrooms and living areas have ceiling fans and TV's as well. All common living areas throughout the house have very nice hardwood floors. All 6 bedrooms are carpeted, and the baths are all tiled.
Outside: An enclosed private pool area with a six person hot tub and a 14' X 25' pool, table and umbrella with chairs as well as reclining chairs for sunbathing. Outside the pool area are two enclosed and private outside showers with hot and cold running water. There is also a fish cleaning station as well as a picnic table with seating for six. Next to this is a small patio area with seating and two park type charcoal grills for your use. The exterior stairs will take you up to the first level deck where you can enter the house with the key thru the screened porch.
Ground level: There is underhouse parking for two or three cars. There is one room which can be opened with the house key which contains the pool and beach toys as well as the bikes and beach chairs. There is an under house stairway entry to the first level where your key will let you in. There is a pad outside to park 2 cars on and one car can park beside the pool. There is probably good parking for 8-10 cars depending on how big the cars are and how carefully they are parked.
1st Floor: This level has a main living area with good seating (also a queen size sleeper sofa)and a new LCD HDTV with a DVD player. The main living area is next to a door opening to the deck and next to a wet bar with plenty of counter space and a refrigerator with ice maker. This floor also has 2 king MBR's with private baths and 1 bedroom with 2 queens and a private bath. Their is also a bunk room on this floor with its own private bath. The bunk room has 4 twin sized bunk style beds in it. This floor also has a large deck area with furniture adjacent to the Palmetto Trees which makes a nice spot for a group to relax and enjoy the shaded breezes. This floor also features a nice screened in porch with fan and wicker furniture which is located in full sight of the pool and hot tub area. This makes a great spot for the adults to relax while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool after the AM trip to the beach.
2nd or Top Floor: This is really the main living area where a completely up-to-date kitchen is located with nice stainless steel appliances, upgraded countertops and Island areas. Their is a large refrigerator with an icemaker. Between the Island seating and two tables there is seating in this area for 18 people at one time. Once the porch table on the deck is considered this floor seats 22 people at a time. The main Living area is adjacent to the dining area and opens to a large deck that faces the beach. The living area contains a large LCD HDTV and a stereo system and DVD player. There is also one King MBR with bath and one BR with 2 queen sized beds and bath on this floor. Beside the kitchen and living area is a half bath.

Why the Owner Chose Pawleys Island
We think our home in North Litchfield Beach is perfectly located. It is about 18 miles North to Myrtle Beach and 18 miles South to Georgetown or 55 miles south to Charleston. While it's at the beach, it is not remote as some beach towns seem. Right in and about Pawleys are all kinds of good shopping, golf, fishing and dining. What's not to like about Pawleys?
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love to eat at Lee's Inlet Kitchen in Murrells Inlet. We also like the Kudzu Bakery, the Pig's Deli, and the Island Deli all in Pawleys Island proper and less than three miles from the house. We like to visit Brookgreen Gardens and when the grandchildren are here after a lot of swimming and playing at the beach and in the pool we might take them to Myrtle Beach for some of the entertainment or over to Georgetown or Charleston for a little historical sightseeing. All in All never a dull moment in Pawleys.

Jeanette and I have 3 children and now 4 grandchildren. Jeanette was born in inland South Carolina and I was born in the western part of New York. As you would expect it was her history with Pawleys Island that led us to consider it as a good place for us to build a second home and vacation spot. We both enjoy the beach and love the eight mile stretch of wide beach that Pawleys offers. Now that we are somewhat retired we enjoy having a nice beach house to share with our friends and family

How fortunate we were in choosing this incredible home. The decor, generous comfortable seating, high quality furnishings,great beds,privacy,solid built no noise problem, 2 living areas,a kitchen Paula Dean would admire(fine cookware,lots of china and glasses well organized)generous parking. Its all here. The pool & hot tub, pool furniture, screen porch, open deck. I only wish I was member of this family I'd be a more frequent visitor. If there is an issue the mgt company was responsive w/in no time. This was a perfect experience and we are experienced travelers. We had a wheelchair bound friend and the home was also handicap accessible. We just loved it and will be rebooking for next yr right now. Beachy Keen does not disappoint. OUTSTANDING

What a wonderful getaway! Nine girl friends and I rented this wonderful house for a kid-free, relaxing weekend in January 2010. The weather wasn't great for much time on the beach (that's the risk we took in January), but it didn't matter because this house has a huge, well-designed kitchen, living room, dining room area that is just perfect for having everyone together for meals, hanging out, watching movies, etc. The house is incredibly well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and even had games, puzzles, movies and books. The house was absolutely immaculate, well cared for and super clean. Beds and linens were so cozy and comfy. The convertible sofa is in the downstairs living space which is plenty private and quiet for those that may need to use it. If the weather had been nicer, we would have loved to use all those beautiful decks. After a rainy day on Saturday, we woke up to beautiful sunshine pouring into the house on Sunday morning...just beautiful. Also, the neighborhood was lovely, well-kept and quiet, but also close to Murrells Inlet for great food and Myrtle Beach for other entertainment. Loved our stay and would highly recommend it! Can't wait to rent this house again next year! Most importantly, the owner was a delight to work with in planning our vacation.

This is a spectacular house, very well equipped and furnished, extremely clean and in perfect condition. Dealing with the owner was a pleasure. The house is about 1/2 block from the water. You can see the ocean from the upper porch, and the sound of the waves on the beach is very pleasant. The house is in a nice, well-kept neighborhood. This is a great choice.

We stayed in this beautiful home from 9/26 to 10/3 and it was even better than we had hoped it would be! The house is gorgeous and in a perfect location. A quick walk to the beach, close to great restaurants and shopping and lots of activities for our little ones to enjoy! The house was stocked with just about everything we needed - even beach toys. The weather could not have been more perfect so we could enjoy the pool during the day and the hot tub at night. In total, we had 4 adults and 3 kids but there was plenty of room for lots more people. We can't wait to visit again!
