What a great place. Highly recommend,best beach vacation ever. Office and owner helpful with any questions.I booked the trip last minute when my college aged children knew their schedules. I wasn't certain that my young adults would like it, but they enjoyed the free internet to keep social with their friends, so the tranquil environment was OK with them as well. We flew in to Ft Myers Airport, a new airport with quick access to the car rentals through a door near baggage claim. We stopped in Fort Myers for a quick dinner and did some food shopping at the Publix. The ride to the Sanibel was a half hour, over the causeway(bridge w $6 toll to Sanibel, free on way to Ft Myers). The condo location was great, 5 minutes from the bridge. When we arrived for late check in, the office left the key in an easy location for pick up. The overall complex was aesthetically pleasing to the eye with new pavers and paint. The condo is located on the 2nd floor, end unit. Easy walk up but there is an elevator if needed. We never used the elevator. When we opened the door to the condo, what a relief. CLEAN, bright and air conditioning that you could adjust. King bed and 2 twin beds,COMFORTABLE and CLEAN w linens. The kitchen was well equipped. We alternated eating out 1 night and cooking on the Weber grills outside the next night. So many restaurants to choose from-our favorites were Matzaluna (Italian) and Timbers Seafood. For breakfast - Jerry's, cheap though slow friendly service. Pinocchios for icecream Activities: my son biked the entire island each morning about 26 miles w a rented bike from Billys, enjoyed the trolley ride at Ding Darling preserve, the shell exhibit at the library, went to the movies and just enjoyed the MOST beautiful beach w so many shells everyday. calm beach great for children and swimming. Dolphins swam a few feet away from us. Heated Pool 25 yards away and beach immediately after pool w trex decking. Every evening, I sat in the screened in lanai and read my book in peace. So many more things to see. I can't wait to return. Also, lots of shopping on Sanibel,(my daughter &I loved the boutiques) and Outlet shopping in Ft Myers and Estero(we went to both). Amenities: 3 TVs, DVD, games and books, rental bikes on premises, heated pool about 86degreesF, 4 sand chairs, beach umbrella and sand toys on porch w drying rack 4 swim suits. Tips:Grocery Shop in Ft Myers before bridge, Buy 2 gal water jugs at Jerry's and refill daily for 30centRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
