Our waterfront home is located on a bluff in beautiful Point Whitehorn in Birch Bay, WA, a classic old beach town. Conveniently situated only 20 minutes from the Canadian border and 20 minutes from Bellingham, WA, our home offers a magnificent, unrestricted view of Birch Bay and the Burnaby mountains in BC.
Positioned at the end of a quiet street, the house offers 2,500 square feet of living space, a deck and patio and a two-car garage. A dramatic entry through custom stained glass doors leads you directly to the windows and a mesmerizing ocean view. The master bedroom with queen bed and luxurious linens is on the main floor with large windows to the ocean and a full bathroom a step away. A second bedroom is located at the front end of the house with a double bed. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms, one with a twin bed and the other with bunk beds featuring a full bed below and a twin bed above. An updated bathroom with shower is nearby and a spacious recreation room features a pool table and a fooseball table. Three of the four bedrooms have spectacular ocean views. We have a portacrib for babies and toddlers and a booster seat for feeding babies, should you require it. And the leather sofa in the living room converts to a comfortable double bed.
The house is immaculate and updated, with board games to keep you busy on a quiet night, wood-burning fireplaces upstairs and down, and comfy leather sofas where you can curl up in front of the view and immerse yourself in a good book or watch the rain pelt down and storms roll across the ocean in winter. This is an ideal romantic or family getaway, filled with sunsets, an outdoor fire pit and the sound of the eagles and waves outside your window.
What can you do in Birch Bay? The area has superb boating, island hopping, fishing, golf, skiing/snowboarding. Dig clams, search for oysters, go crabbing right from your own beach. A state park is close by with educational outdoor programming on summer weekend evenings. There are also a handful of tasty restaurants, a spa, and a convenience store in Birch Bay. Bring your golf clubs to try one of the many great courses nearby that can be played year around.
In Birch Bay, you're an hour from Vancouver, BC and two hours to Seattle. The airport in Bellingham is just 20 minutes away.

We had an awesome time here. The house is spacious and child-friendly, the views are spectacular and we loved sitting outside watching the sunsets. We drove there in just over an hour from our house in Vancouver, but it felt like we were far from civilization, in a beautiful paradise. We usually go to the islands or Whistler to get out of the city, but Birch Bay was so easy to get to, and no ferry line-ups! We can't wait to go back. It was the perfect weekend getaway!
