Each bedroom is lined with windows, affording views of passing lobster boats, changing tides, and gorgeous sunsets. An open concept living area and kitchenette provide all the conveniences necessary for comfortable living.
You can spend time sitting on the deck, overlooking the rocky Maine shore, or hop in the car and drive to nearby Boothbay Harbor, Old Orchard Beach, the outlet town of Freeport, or Pemaquid Point. In close proximity there are many venues for kayaking, boating, whale watches, and excursions, so you can be as busy as you please, or just idle, enjoying the cool summer breezes and breath taking water views.

Year Purchased: 2008
As a child this beautiful Maine home was owned by my grandparents. Grandpa built a separate unit, which is now what we refer to as our bungalow, so that all of his grandchildren and their families could enjoy the vacation home and he and Grandma could still keep their sanity! Growing up in this house made it a part of me, the sights and smells of the ocean, and the memories attached to them. So, in 2008, when the second generation needed to sell it, my husband and I bought it in order to maintain the family traditions.
The grandchildren are all grown now, some with grandchildren of their own but the traditions will carry on. We hope you can make some memories too, and enjoy this beautiful spot just as we do.

... where the canvasbacks roam. Sometimes online descriptions are hype and photos deceptive. Here, they understate the quiet glory of the place. While we've stayed many lovely places in Maine over the decades, we can't remember feeling more at home than here. Casco Bay on two sides, falling asleep to the incoming tide, sunsets to die for ... We shall return!

Beth - Our stay in Harpswell was PRECISELY what we needed - restful, fun, and magical!!! It was even better than the ad! The cottage was lovely, comfortable and clean and the views will be forever etched in our minds! Sunsets like we've NEVER seen! Our most precisous time was sitting in bed watching the sunset as our son fell asleep on our laps! It was so easy and enjoyable dealing with you! On site, your mom gave us our complete privacy and yet was available with friendly advice if we needed it! Our son LOVED our walks out to the point at night, and towards Estees Lobster House in the daytime (for ice cream)! We collected shells and watched the tide come in and out. We even went on some daytrips to Freeport, Cundy's Harbour and BoothBay Harbour (So Beautiful!!). I really can't say enough about how much we loved our experience with you and we're counting the days until we get to return! Thank you many times over. This was our first trip as a little family and we will FOREVER remember you and your mom for it!

We are so glad we decided to stay a couple nights at Bayberry Ledge when we were brought up to Maine for other reasons. The house is on a peninsula of protected land overlooking small islands and and coves on all sides. We woke up to the sound of the waves and had fun skipping rocks in the serene ocean waters of the cove. Our host, Margaret was unbelievably warm and welcoming and definitely a highlight of the weekend. I hesitated writing this review simply because I didn't want more people to know about the place! Thanks for a great experience Beth and Margaret, we will definitely come back!

What a lovely experience! Bayberry Ledge felt so homey and the view was superb. Margaret greeted us with a hug and a genuine, "Welcome to Maine, and welcome to my home." She is one of our fondest memories of Maine. The fall color rivaled the Smokey Mountains. The lobster boats plied their trade under our watchful eyes. The sunsets were so gorgeous, I captured one on video. Every view from Bayberry Ledge is a postcard.

Just returned from a 5 night stay and already miss waking up to the views from this cottage. A great location right at the end of a peninsula with water on both sides of you, lighthouses in the distance and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats come and go, and Estes Lobster House Restaurant just down the street was a real treat! Margaret is a very sweet and friendly host who made us feel welcome immediately. We will have wonderful memories of this special place.
