50’s Beach House, newly renovated 2 block walk to private, soft-white-sand-duned Miller Beach. The three bedroom (2 queen bedrooms, 1 twin Singles) open concept is ideal for couples or families. Open living room/kitchen with table that extends to seat up to ten. Refinished hardwood floors throughout the house.
Boutique bathroom with newly tiled bath/ shower stall, TOTO toilet and plenty of cabinet space. Bedrooms complete with ceiling fans, closets with cubbies or dresser, night stands and windows to feel the beautiful lake breezes at night.
The kitchen has been remodeled to stay true to the 50's integrity with modern conveniences, such as dishwasher, toaster oven, etc.
Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is protected and has excellent bird watching, walking, biking, trails. The house is also walking distance to beautiful Marquette Park - which encompasses a beach, a playground, the Aquatorium with an elaborate bathhouse built in 1921, a lagoon with two Japanese bridges, a stately pavilion and a picnic area.
Perfect summertime food and local restaurants such as the Flamingo, perfect for pizza, burgers and the local favorite fesh lake perch, Miller Bakery (seen on Check Please!) and The Baker’s House for homemade scones, soups, sandwiches.
A 50 minute drive to downtown Chicago or a quick 20 minute drive to the Michigan City shopping outlets.
