Nestled in the big trees at about 8,500 feet of elevation, along Sierra Star's fairway four, this new home has every amenity. Don't be fooled by it's rustic design features, there was no expense spared in its building. Top of the line Viking appliances with duel ovens, dishwasher, wine fridge, hand hammered copper sinks in the kitchen. Big open kitchen flows into the great room (wood burning fireplace, hearth TV & bar), the dining room, the charming front living room (another fireplace)... all perfect for entertaining and enjoying family gatherings. The main floor also has the master suite; ideal for more senior adults who don't want to climb stairs. The Master has a Cal-King iron bed and it's own private access to the large back deck (golf course views everywhere). There's a room off the Master with a space divider, and a sofa bed allows two other people to sleep on the main floor also (perfect for a couple with children that need to sleep close by). The Master Bath has a steam room with a low flow "rain" shower head and a hand held body wash, and of course, a jetted Jacuzzi tub. There's a three car garage with an entrance right into the home's main entry area. There's a ski/snow board storage rack and boot storage area in the garage, as well as a lighted tool bench.
Downstairs find the Game Room with a full size pool table and it's own copper sink and fireplace. Play cards by a fire, or go out to the patio for a soak in the hot tub. There's a mini Master suite (shares the main bathroom) with its own copper sink and vanity, a daybed room with a pop up trundle and it's own dedicated antique bathroom (with princess tub). There's also a bunk room with log bunk beds and a futon bed, a full gym with a sauna, a small laundry room and a wine storage room. Electric heaters were added to the duel forced air units for a very quick home heat-up, even in the coldest of weather.
Take the log staircase upstairs, and you'll find that the top floor has a View Turret with an office (see Lincoln Mountain and Dave's Run when the trees and weather cooperate). It also has a very open loft with log railings (and a queen sofa bed), and two beautiful bedroom suites with bathrooms. Each of these suites have gas fireplaces, although they'll heat you out of the room if turned on to long. One of the suites has its own private covered balcony with amazing tree top view. The home has patina copper accents, logs and rustic everything throughout. Please refer to photos. Each bedroom has flat screen TVs with Direct TV and DVDs, and the Great Room and Game Room have Direct TV only. The bunk room is currently DVD only. The home was designed to "bring in" the golf course or the winter elements, as well as all the big trees. When sitting on the decks, a person very much feels like they're sitting on a tree fort platform amongst the big trees... Newer photos with all the furnishings are coming soon.

Why the Owner Chose Crooked Pines
I built it. Began construction in 2005, finished in 2008 (long winters). Mammoth has everything: big mountains with excellent skiing and boarding, lots of water sports in the summer, hiking, fishing, climbing, etc... Nice place just to go and relax also. Yosemite is just North of Mammoth Lakes.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Peaceful serenity in the trees. Watching golfers enjoying the game. Walking to the lifts in less than 5 minutes, and coming back to meet everyone at lunch. Enjoying guests who, in turn, are enjoying everything. Cold winter nights with a fire crackling and a good book. Snowy days when looking outside the windows can be an adventure; just watching the snow pile up higher and higher. Sledding and disc riding with the kids, right outside the front door. Watching bears, deer, raccoons and other wildlife usually bounding across the fairway. Summer days of sunshine and clean air and clean water. A morning steam or sauna, and evening dip in the hot tub...
