Nice, open 3 BR/2 BA home on Lake Wateree. Come and relax at this great retreat in a quiet cove. Home is on the water with a dock and has a wonderful deep water view. The split floor plan offers privacy for the Master bedroom and has a King bed and it's own private bath. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has two twin beds. Both the Master and Bedroom #2 have their own entrances to the deck.
The kitchen is well appointed with cookware, bakeware, all dishes as well as serving platters, bowls, etc., utensils and steak knives and lots of gadgets. We have a coffee maker, blender, rotisserie, toaster oven and microwave. There is a breakfast bar that seats three as well as a large dining table that can be extended. The family room includes a 50" television w/ Direct TV, a DVD player and several family games.
The home has a large deck with a 10 X 12 canopy with big, comfy living room style chairs as well as a table and chairs for outside dining. Smoking is only permitted outside. Also provided is a charcoal grill as well as extra chairs for outside and/or the dock. *Note - Linens are not included in rental price, but may be included for a fee.

Year Purchased: 2006
My husband and I started looking at Lake Wateree about 7 - 8 years ago and finally decided to purchase in early 2006. We enjoy the home all year round and love to take family and friends to stay. The kitchen is nice and open so that everyone can join in the preparation of the meals. It's a great place to escape. There is a beautiful view and we enjoy nothing more than sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise or set.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Wateree
We have several lakes nearby to choose from, but most are so loud and busy. We love the fact that Lake Wateree is not as crowded as some of the others, yet it is close enough to take a day trip. The fact that Camden is a short 15 minute drive is a plus. We didn't realize how convenient it was until we had owned the home for a couple of years! Now we also have Colonel's Creek Marina where you can get standard items as well as fresh meats and vegetables. And there are two restaurants there as well. It's just a short 5 minute drive.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love to cook and cookout. I've put just about everything that I can think of as far as the kitchen is concerned. I don't want people to have to bring everything that they might use in preparing the family meal. Wine glasses, a drink bucket, appetizer platters, you name it, we've probably got it. The outside living area is also great. We get lots of comments in our sign in book about how much everyone loves the deck. The canopy helps with the sun and the chairs are big and comfy. It's a great place to hang out.

This was our third rental of this property. It is a beautiful home in a great location. It has the privacy of being in the back of a cove, but also has a view of the big open water. It's very easy to get to & close to several stores, restaurants and boat ramp that the Colonel Creek location offers. The pictures and details described on this web page accurately reflect the property!

Thanks so much for opening your home to us for the 4th of July long weekend. We enjoyed our stay! Beds were so comfortable, den furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with a lot of cooking items. The covered deck was wonderful! We spent our entire weekend on the deck, when we were not in the boat. Additionally, the fireworks were in very close proximity to your home. Your place is a great location on the lake! We look forward to renting again in the future!
Owner response:We have never been for the 4th of July because it is in such demand at that time of year. We have been told by the neighbors that are there that we have a great view of the fireworks from our deck and dock. July is by far our busiest month so it's good to book early. We're so glad you had a good time!

Jana: Thank you for allowing my family to use your lovely home for the weekend. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. The house was very open, with a large kitchen, which we enjoyed. We also liked the colors of the rooms. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, even though the fish were not biting. This was our first visit to Lake Wateree and we were surprised how beautiful the area was, very remote and quite. We saw a wild turkey beside the road on our way to the house. I'm sure there are lots of deer in the area also. Time spent with my family is precious and you helped me enjoy every minute of it this past weekend (April 2010). Thanks - Fran
