There are excellent walking and mountain biking areas, numerous streams and lakes for fishing and water sports within a short drive.
Wintertime provides endless options for downhill or Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Round Meadow and Long Meadow cross country trails are close by.
These are just a few attractions within an hour’s drive of the cabin. The Canadian border into BC is less than an hour away.
The cabin features 2 bedrooms upstairs; master has a queen bed and sitting area. The second bedroom has a twin bed, laundry facilities are upstairs. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen, dining/living room and bath with shower/tub. There is a gas BBQ, picnic table and deck furniture.

Thank you for taking care of us-short notice:) I absolutely love the way you have decorated the cabin. This was my first trip to Glacier and I struggled with where I wanted to stay, in town or out of town? Because I had never been here, in my mind I imagined "Whitefish" a small tourist town in somewhat of a old western type theme, so I'm glad I opted for the "out of town" location. My husband watched movies in the evening while I read my book. We, too, didn't see much Wildlife, but I wouldn't have traded it for the "hustle and bustle" and road construction of the city:) All our meals we prepared here. It was so convenient! Lastly I want to say that we have stayed at quite a few VRBO places in our travels and this was one of my favorites. Thank you again!

Beautiful secluded cabin
"Dear Ann & Glenn, Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful secluded cabin. We had a wonderful time. It rained a lot, so we just stayed indoors and enjoyed every moment of it watching movies and playing games. We didn't get to see any animals, just a tiny chipmunk.:) This was definitely a home away from home experience. We would definitely return. Thanks again! Taken from the guest book at the cabin.

A once in a lifetime experience!
We enjoyed the peace & quiet of your cabin surroundings. Not many deer (only1) but that was most likely due to the mountain lion & her 4 cubs we saw our first night here!!! A once in a lifetime experience! She was close, about 40 yards! Thanks for the great stay! [Taken from the cabin guest book]

Hate to Leave...
"Ann & Glenn, We had a wonderful time & hate to leave. It is so peaceful & quiet here. Perfect place to relax. One morning we had deer come up to the porch. One evening about dark we were entertained by a flying squirrel (which we understand is rare even here!) Thanks again!! [Taken from the cabin guest book]

The cabin is a wonderful mountain retreat that has great charm and character. Our kids loved the porch and grassy backyard. Every night we drove up there were deer grazing in the fields near the house. Perfect vacation rental!

This cabin was more than perfect. This was supposed to be my honeymoon, however, at the last minute my husband could not go and I was able to take my dad. This was the trip of a lifetime for him and this cabin was the icing on the cake. The drive in led to many deer and turkey sightings every day. We enjoyed the drive to Glacier National, as we went every day. The cabin is tucked away from the busy city life and gives you exactly what you need. The wildlife and peace and quiet is priceless. We loved every minute of it and I will be back soon with the husband in tow. Thank you Ann and Glenn for an amazing trip.

Wonderful getaway in the woods
Wonderful getaway in the woods
I just finished spending 9 days in this lovely cabin surrounded by nature. I loved the rustic touches that obviously were done by someone who cared about this home. It's a spot where I sketched, wrote, mused and refreshed my soul. My day to day life is very busy and this is exactly what I needed. The cabin is not hard to find and is about 15 minutes from Whitefish and 20 minutes from Kalispell. The drives around were spectacular! I have to admit that I spent most of my time at the cabin - I didn't want to leave much. I saw deer just about every day and there were many birds singing around me. Just lovely! I plan on coming back soon.

Manager response: Thank you for sharing your experience, Windy! So happy that you enjoyed the cabin. It was built by hand by Glenn for his parents in 1982. Glenn is a blacksmith, as well and made the hardware that you see through out the cabin. We think it is a very special place also... Looking forward to hearing from you next year! Ann & Glenn
