Why the Owner Chose Kings Beach

I love to be in the mountains, especially in the winter during snowboarding season. Lake Tahoe has some amazing ski resorts, and there is even more going on in the summer. I lived in Tahoe City for three years before moving to San Francisco and I love to get back to the mountains for frequent escapes. The tranquility of the lake and the quiet of the woods is what draws me back time after time.

The Unique Benefits at this House

We have a bunch of friends that love to ski and snowboard, so we enjoy the house a lot during the winter. I love the big kitchen for group cooking and the fireplace for that cozy feeling. The hot tub is a huge hit with everyone, and the on-demand hot water is nice so that all those people can have hot showers. The proximity to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer is the best part. The lake is 8 blocks away with great swimming, water sports rentals, restaurants, a grocery, and golf within a 10 min walk. I love to take a morning hike up into the woods that overlook the lake before anyone else is awake and enjoy the quietness of the national forest.

Owner's Map of Kings Beach

My brother and I grew up on the east coast and both moved to San Francisco. We are both young professionals who love outdoor sports such as biking, hiking, swimming, and snowboarding. We had been involved in ski leases in the Tahoe area for a few years before we decided to buy a place together in 2007. Now we get to enjoy Tahoe in the summer, too. David organizes mountain bike trips for his buddies and they get more hardcore every year. It's great that we have a place big enough for our big family when they come to visit. We love to share our place with family and friends, and we have a blast with all that the Lake Tahoe area has to offer.

One word... PERFECT!!!

Guest: James (Wisconsin)
Date of Stay: 07/27/11 Review Submitted: 08/07/11

I was recently out in the Tahoe area for a wedding and 10 of my friends and I were looking for a place to stay. I inquired about probably 20 to 25 houses. Some I got replies from and some didn't even bother replying back. But Jessica was on top of things. I would email her in the morning and have an email with an answer that same day!! It was very comforting and gave me piece of mind coming all the way from Wisconsin. She was very professional, which is some what scarce these days. As for the house, well it was PERFECT!! Plenty of room for 11 adults or even more. The couches were so comfortable people could have easily slept on them. The house was not to far from the lake or beach but not to close either, great location. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub in back was amazing. One great feature was that there was no cable or dish service. We all thought it was great. There was an amazing stereo system with an iPod dock that got used practically 24/7. If you want a great place to stay while in Northern Tahoe this is your place. We all felt like we were at home. My entire group wants to thank you Jessica. Thank you so much for making our Tahoe vacation one to remember!! If we ever find our way back out there this place will be the first and hopefully only place I inquire about. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!!

Very fond memories of a beautiful place - a little piece of heaven. We'll never forget the moonlight glistening on the mountains above the lake, the excitement of the ski station. Terrific welcome with the most comfortable bed. Come and see us in Ireland soon!

What a fabulous four day weekend filled with hiking, pictionary, dominoes, and strolling on the beach. The digs were perfect, we all shared community, family, and laughter; yet with all the rooms here, we each had the privacy we enjoyed! The weather -California perfect- and it was a perfect weekend to celebrate a milestone 30th birthday! Janet and Carl

Thanks so much for the great place to stay! Coming from Alaska, the weather was much appreciated! The hiking around here is amazing and the sun was much needed! A little sunburn, but all in all enjoyed the house, the town, the weather and especially the beach! Thank you guys for the place! Jeanine
