Why the Owner Chose Kings Beach
I love to be in the mountains, especially in the winter during snowboarding season. Lake Tahoe has some amazing ski resorts, and there is even more going on in the summer. I lived in Tahoe City for three years before moving to San Francisco and I love to get back to the mountains for frequent escapes. The tranquility of the lake and the quiet of the woods is what draws me back time after time.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We have a bunch of friends that love to ski and snowboard, so we enjoy the house a lot during the winter. I love the big kitchen for group cooking and the fireplace for that cozy feeling. The hot tub is a huge hit with everyone, and the on demand hot water is nice so that all those people can have hot showers. The proximity to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer is the best part. The lake is 8 blocks away with great swimming, water sport rentals, restaurants, a grocery, and golf within a 10 min walk. I love to take a morning hike up into the woods that overlook the lake before anyone else is awake and enjoy the quietness of the national forest.

My brother and I grew up on the east coast and both moved to San Francisco. We are both young professionals that love outdoor sports such as biking, hiking, swimming, and snowboarding. We had been involved in ski leases in the Tahoe area for a few years before we decided to buy a place together in 2007. Now we get to enjoy Tahoe in the summer, too. David organizes mountain bike trips for his buddies and they get more hardcore every year. It's great that we have a place big enough for our big family when they come to visit. We love to share our place with family and friends, and have a blast with all that the Lake Tahoe area has to offer.
