I am a New Yorker and I stayed for 3 nights at this apartment in the 2nd arrondisement. Very nice studio with a high-quality couch-bed, clean, good bathroom. I would stay there again. The area is quiet - and not dangerous. 15 minute walk to Rue de Rivoli. Metro is 5 minutes away. Fabulous pastry shop 10 minutes away called Stohrer !! Bob Millman

My sister and I stayed in this property for 5 days and 4 nights. Everything about our experience in Paris was wonderful. The studio was clean and very new, with a keyless entry which was very convenient (no need to carry keys). It came fully equipped with a washer/dryer, a TV and even small essentials like a hairdryer. The owner was always available and great to deal with. Having that studio made our vacation stress-free and beautiful! Best, Moneeza (Canada)

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was such a great experience. The studio was conveniently located - only steps away from shops, restaurants and the metro. The owner was super friendly and always available to answer all our questions. This area is not as busy as other arrondissements, but still has an idyllic charm to it. Will stay here again for sure! Thanks so much, Ina (Canada)

My boyfriend and I stayed in this apartment for 5 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The apartment is well catered and has everything you need. It has facilities to cook- electric hobs, pots, pans, cutlery, fridge and freezer. It has a washer/ drying machine and includes TV, internet and use of the telephone. The apartment is clean, well maintained and modern. The owner lives in the area and is on hand to assist if there are any problems during your stay, so it takes any of the worry or stress out of renting. It is perfectly located in central Paris, easy to reach anywhere (including all the main points of interest). The surrounding area of Montorgueil is one of the best places in Paris to eat and go out and I can recommend many restaurants in within walking distance of the flat should you require! I rented the apartment for 5 days in April. Clean and very well-equipped, and Wi-Fi very fast. Apartment is a 5 minute walk from 2 supermarkets plus only a short walk to rue Montorgueil’s food shops. 20mins walk to the Louvre, good metro connections nearby for longer trips. Had a very enjoyable stay. Regards, Paul (London, UK)

Our family (mom, dad & baby) stayed several days in this great apartment, and we had an amazing time. The location is very central – it’s easy to get everywhere in Paris. The neighbourhood is really cool, in particular the pedestrian market a block away, full of great bakeries, cafes, creperies, cheese stores, wine stores, etc.
The apartment is perfect, fully equipped with dishwasher, laundry, television, etc etc. The pull-out couch is super deluxe, and amazingly comfortable. The electronic lock system is very convenient, no need to go pick up keys. We’ve already recommended it to family and friends, and will continue to do so! Michelle (New York City)

My friend and I tried to stay in this apartment as a girls' getaway but the owner quickly responded letting us know it was undergoing repairs and offered us a very similar one in the same building and it worked out great! The location was perfect - a 5 minute walk to the cute rue Montorgueil shopping area and a 15 minute walk to the Louvre. There are 4 metro stops very close by so it is accessible from anywhere in the city. And only 1 transfer from the airport. The apartment itself is exactly what we needed. First of all, it was VERY clean, it almost felt brand new. Second, it was very safe - it had key codes from the outside door and the inside door with automatic steel locks. It provided storage space, a pullout bed, a kitchen, washer/dryer. dishwasher, towels and linens, toiletries, tips and travel information from the area. And the owner was so easy to work with. He always replied very quickly with any questions and provided everything and all the information you could want. He checked on us while we were there and made it so easy to make the payments and check in/out. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to many friends and family. This is 10 times better than the hotels of paris!!

We as a couple stayed in this studio for 3 nights in August 2010. This studio is simply perfect! It's very nice, stylish, simple and modern. Extremely clean - I have to say, it's cleaner than 5* hotels. It's like brand new. You can tell by the flat how Riaan is definitely a perfectionist, very helpful and extremely organised. We've exchanged few emails before we arrived. He's even given us detailed directions, transport guide on how to get to the flat from Gare du Nord Station, saved us time to research on it. On arrival at the flat, a folder on the table which contains all the info you need about the flat, e.g instructions on how to use the TV and sat box, WIFI, how to operate washing machine, etc. All the questions tourist will normally ask, like where can I find cafe/supermarket/bakery/good restaurants/metro station, etc all in the folder. He's even put his own recommendation about we should go/visit. Very helpful little folder. You won't get this kind of detailed folder in hotel for sure. It's just awesome! Even better is - there's a draw, full of guidebooks, maps, restaurant guide, lots of leaflets on museums and excursions. All you want to know about Paris, is all in there!! Kitchen is perfect, has everything you need. Bathroom is perfect, simple, stylish and clean which's most important. Extra point is with bath (not many private rental flats in Paris with bath tub). Riaan even provides these little extras like washing tablets, soap, shower gel and shampoo! Sofa bed - It must be the best we've ever stayed in our lives. It's big for a start, must be a King size, and It's extremely comfy. Not like most sofa beds which has split line in the middle. This one is a normal mattress style. Very firm which we love. Easy to open and fold. It's just simply the best sofa bed you can ever imagine. Location - in a quiet street, perfect location. Everywhere is within walking distance. Many supermarkets within 5mins walk. Starbucks round the corner if you love them too. Many restaurants and bars nearby. We used the Paris rental bikes which 1 of the bike station is literally 2 mins walk from the flat. It is the best way to go around Paris. Cost 1 EURO for 24 hours. Cheap and very convenient. You can definitely do alot more sight-seeing with bikes than by foot/transports. We definitely would love to stay in the same flat again next time and will recommend to everyone we know about his studios. Riaan and his studios are definitely perfect for tourists!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The owner was very easy to work with and responsive to our questions. The apartment was small but very clean and well equipped. The building and neighborhood were quiet but not particularly interesting in themselves. However, everything to see in Paris was very close at hand, with a 15 minute walk to the Seine, Notre Dame, Louvre and 4 metro stations less than a 5 minute walk away. The wonderful pedestrian market on Rue Montorguiel is just around the corner with a huge assortment of shops and cafes. Overall, the apartment was an excellent stay for the value and convenience and we hope to stay here again.

I spent the entire month of May 2010 staying alone in this apartment, and it was an incredible experience. The owner is a super-friendly guy who lives just down the street (and speaks fluent English), and he's quick to answer e-mail questions and pop by to assist with any issues that come up. In fact, he was kind enough to print out e-tickets I had purchased for the Eiffel Tower and the French Open and drop them off for me since I didn't have a printer. Wireless Internet connection works great for a U.S. laptop and iPhones. Laundry machine is a godsend for longer stays. Everything you need to cook meals at home and a dishwasher to help clean things up. The fold-out sofa bed is actually very, very comfortable and large. Plenty of closet space for your clothes and luggage. And the location is fantastic -- two nearby Metro stations gives you easy access to four Metro lines, and the Montorgueil market street just a block away is full of food shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries (including the world-famous Stohrer). A couple of the French supermarkets are also just a couple of blocks away. The location is also perfect if you plan to skip the Metro and just walk your way around the city as I did many days -- 20 minutes or less to Les Halles, Pompidou Centre, Hotel de Ville, Louvre, Tuileries, Ile de la Cite, Palais Royale, and the Marais to name a few. (The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th arrondisements, all of which are very easily accessible from the apartment, are blow-your-mind beautiful to just wander through!) And the neighborhood is totally and completely safe -- I walked around on my own at night to and from the apartment and the nearby Metro stations and never once felt unsafe. I can't wait for my return visit to Paris -- and I'll definitely be renting this apartment again.

This was the perfect little apartment and exactly as described. The owner of the apartment was very communicative and organized and I found the entire experience very stress free. The apartment is not extremely large (I would recommend it for one or two persons maximum) but if you are going to Paris to spend large amounts of time in your room, I would have to wonder why you were there in the first place! And even though it is on the small side, it has absolutely everything you could possibly need including a washer/dryer and dishwasher, internet, tv and more! The location was perfect and within walking distance of many of the major museums and attractions. The sofa bed was unlike any other sofa bed I slept on being that it was unbelievably comfortable. I would most certainly stay here again... Thank you!
