Craftsman house in the most desirable area of Hood River. River views from wraparound porch and bedrooms. Master bedroom has queen size bed, big closet and a nice sitting area in enclosed veranda. Enjoy city and bridge lights at night. Second bedroom has two twin size beds and additional single bed. Convenient half bathroom is located on the same floor. Bedrooms are equipped with A/C window units.
Large living room and dining area have open floor plan. Nice picture window overlooks Columbia River with some views of White Salmon and Mt. Adams. Comfortable sitting area with sleeper sofa, TV, cable, DVD and Nintendo 64 with games for kids.
Spacious and well lit dining room provides comfortable spot to enjoy meals and watch the fire (during the winter time). Kitchen is fully equipped with stone ware, pots, pans, utensils, glasses etc. Microwave, toaster, fridge and glass cook top are also provided. Small breakfast table. There is a good size mud room adjacent to the laundry room behind the kitchen . Mud room can be used as storage place for sporting equipment.
Private parking area and patio are located behind the house. Patio has a clean brick pavement with BBQ area surrounded by nice landscaping. Large covered porch has plenty sitting area where you can watch windsurfers and kite boarders. This is a perfect spot to relax after action packed day. This historic house has recently been remodeled. It has been designed to provide you with home like feeling. The linens are brand new and two sets of towels are provided per person (for one week stay)
Restaurants and boutiques are only 200 yards away. You can walk back home after fun filled evening
$985 per week or $160 per day(September 16th-June 15th),
$1100 per week minimum stay 7 days(June 16th -September 15th),
based on 4 persons occupancy plus applicable tax.
$20 each additional person per day.
$75 cleaning fee.
$50 for dogs under 45 lb. per week with $150 refundable deposit.

We booked the house very spontaneously (that means on the same day) and everything went fine! We stayed there with 2 families and had a nice time. The only think we missed was a dish washer, but that's all. The location is very convenient and the view is great. Thanks for the nice weekend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Historic Oak Street House. The kitchen was well appointed and the place was spotless! The view was amazing - we even saw a few rainbows! Close walk to town is very handy too. Would love to come back in warmer weather so I could enjoy the big front porch more. Lovely place to stay!

A very homey place within walking distance to downtown, and parking enough for two cars close to the house. From the huge front porch there is a fantastic view of the river and mountains, very beautiful a night. The audio/visual equipment was user-friendly, not always the case. I would love to stay here in the summer and sit on the porch and enjoy the breeze.

The Oak Street house is very comfortable, clean, quiet and a beautiful view of the Columbia awaits you from just about every window of the house. Another wonderful thing is where it is situated.
