We are two professionals living in Cincinnati. We are nature lovers and enjoy many outdoor sports and activities. We love our cabin and spend as much time there as we could. We would like to share our cabin with other nature lovers to help us offset some of the maintenance and improvement cost.
Why the Owner Chose Wood Creek Lake
We discovered this Kentucky’s best kept secret 4 years ago. We fell in love with it. The lake is deep and large, but yet quiet. It is within Daniel Boone National Forest with beautiful foliages, wild lives, and rock formations. There are aslo plenty of amazing hiking trails and other recreational activities nearby.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
We practically decided to buy the cabin as soon as we stepped out the realtor’s car! The cabin is nested under a big giant green tree umbrella and is only 50 feet from the water! We love to drink morning coffee on the dock while watching the morning mist coming up from the lake. We love to kayak to different coves in the lake to see wild lives and watch the milkyway in the middle of lake at the middle of night. We love to sit on the swing with camp fire and exchange jokes and stories with friends. We also love to drive on those long and winding country roads to see foliage changes and get wherever they lead us. The only problem is we have to leave and return to the reality!

Peaceful Experience

The wife and I spent a week at this cabin. Not fancy but it was a wonderful, peaceful, and fun experience we were looking for. We enjoyed the cabin and was fully equipped with what you may need. We spent most of our time like most enjoying the patio and boat dock. We rented a pontoon boat that the business delivered and picked it up at the marina. Beautiful lake, fishing was slow but we caught some and a 10 lb catfish off the boat dock at the cabin. Plenty of nature to enjoy birds, squirrels, possums, otters, ducks and cranes where seen around the cabin. Minutes from town stores. We are planning to visit this location again if it is available. Finding the light switch in the bathroom was tricky, which is straight across from the door.

We were looking for an easy-to-get to long weekend get-away where we could unplug and relax for a bit. And we found it at Woods Creek Lake. We didn't want or need fancy. We just wanted to be. This spot was exactly what we were seeking. While the shower in the bathroom is a tight squeeze, the screen porch and dock really make this place. Peaceful mornings, clean lake, fun birdwatching and yes, fish that taunted us. They kayaking was fun and enabled us to explore a bit. Evenings were spent by the campfire and playing board games. If you need to escape from the city and reconnect with each other, this is a great spot. It is quiet, peaceful and very much respected by all those who live around it / visit it. We look forward to returning to our new 'secret place' soon.

My family and I spent 3 days at this cabin and it was great all you need to bring is your self and food everything else is there the cabin was very clean and very cozy and very peaceful and my 7 year old grand daughter and 17 year old son loved it and you have to take the kayaks out we will return to this cabin and just 5 minutes from town you will realy enjoy this one!!!!!!!!

My wife and I spent a weekend there. It was a beautiful place. Peace and quiet. The place is well kept. The interior is tastefully decorated. It is very easy to get to everything, only 5 minutes to interstate. We highly recommend it. We plan to come back in the fall.
