Year Purchased: 1999
Growing up in Wisconsin I used to spend many summers in Door County with my grandparents who were avid boaters. When I got married my wife and I were once again drawn to the waters of Door County and have been spending our summers with the kids "up north" for the past 18 years. We made the decision to move from a neighboring condo to this waterfront home in 1999 to accommodate our expanding family. We love to spend time on the water and crossing the lake several times a year on our boat. As the kids grew older we have used the house less often but didn't want it to sit idle so we decided to offer it as a vacation rental for other big families to enjoy!
Why the Owner Chose Sturgeon Bay
We chose to buy a vacation home in Door County because it is only two hours from our permanent home in Milwaukee. We liked this specific location because it is quiet (low traffic) and offers easy access to both Lake Michigan as well as the bay of green Bay. The protected marina was also a huge selling point!
The Unique Benefits of this Custom Home
We enjoy sitting on the back deck watching the boats go by all hours of the day... it's moving art! The kids enjoy the pool and tennis court and fishing in the marina.
