Charming cottage on the Lake Superior Island of Park Point. Park Point is a sandbar island, connected to the mainland by the French-designed Ariel Lift Bridge. It is located within Duluth city limits, and one of the most desirable locations within the area.
This modern and comfortable home has two bedrooms, living room, dining room, breakfast nook, washer/dryer and small computer space. Hardwood floors, sunny kitchen bay window, leaded-glass windows and updated appliances make this house a real gem.
The front porch is a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh lake air and the sound of the Great Lake waves. A private sea-grass path takes you up to the sandy beach to swim or sun or walk. The cottage is just a few seconds walk from the beach, and it is a spectacular stretch of sand to wa Next door is a community center and city park with tennis court, playground, basketball court, ice rink and baseball diamond. At the end of the Point is a rare, old-growth forest for hiking and exploring, and biking paths are located throughout the area.
Our house is beautiful and inviting and well-maintained. We recycle, use natural and biodegradable cleaning products, and minimize utility usage as much as possible. It is located in a lovely and unique area of Duluth. The cottage is a vigorous 2-mile walk to the famous Ariel Lift Bridge and Canal Park, an area full of coffee bars, bistros, antiques shops, boutiques, theaters, fine dining, art galleries and horse-drawn carriages. It is the perfect place for couples or small families.

My daughter keeps asking...Why! Oh! Why! Can't we move to the Greenhouse in Duluth?! We came back to our hometown and stayed as tourists. My daughter LOVED the waves crashing on the beach and our boys LOVED to dig, dig, dig. My husband and I appreciated staying in the quiet, CLEAN, charming house on Park Point. We were greeted with a warm welcome note and chocolates for the kids. The house had everything we needed including books, magazines, games and lots of helpful information on Duluth. I would recommend this house to anyone.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at the Island Greenhouse on our trip around Lake Superior. We've stayed at inns, hotels and B&Bs and this was one of the nicest ones lodgings we've been to. Teenagers loved the beach and the area. The house was charming and comfortable. Was a really great place to be and we will be back!

The Island Greenhouse is a lovely cottage a few steps over the dunes from Lake Superior on Park Point. It is right next door to the Community Center on Park Point. The cottage is immaculate and well decorated with many recent updates. It was the ultimate Duluth experience with stained glass window accents, down comforters, cozy couch, complete with spa candles and toiletries. We walked on the beach, shopped in Canal Park and worked on sewing projects. 3 or us were very comfortable in the 2 bedroom cottage. It was a lovely getaway.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
