  We stayed at the DeCarli House for 4 days in September. The pictures are spot on! The house is clean, bright, airy and immaculate! The area is quiet and close to everything you need. Chris and Greg left wonderful instructions for everything. There were bicycles that were available to use around town. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were divine, the place was really clean, they had a great CD collection and DVD collection and TV and sound system. The gas fireplace was lovely to turn on, relax and have a glass of wine. We would put in everything from Stevie Wonder to the Foo Fighters and got ready for our nights out. The bathrooms are roomy and spacious. There are multiple lounge areas so you never feel overcrowded. A large dining table for family feasts! Wonderful kitchen with all the amenities that you would need! I would highly recommend the DeCarli House and would love to stay there again on my next trip up to Northern California.

  This house is go beautiful and comfortable! "What?," you exclaim? Yes, a work of art that is actually very functional and comfortable, not to mention very well appointed. We're talkin' FULL kitchen; organic bedding and beds themselves; handmade custom furniture; a great DVD collection; and a responsive owner, if you should have any questions. Sorry to have missed you, Chris. Next time, better planning on my part. I felt so lucky the house was even available, and it was great to see Greg! People out there, just STAY HERE! That's all I can really say. You'll be glad you did! :^P

  My girlfriend and I spent a long, relaxing weekend here this spring and truly enjoyed every minute. The house is super-cool with tons of character and an impeccable sense of style. Awesome beds. Awesome kitchen. Well presented. We were totally impressed! Petaluma itself was a super-quaint little town and is close to Dry Creek Valley, which is one of our favorite wine tasting destinations. The owner, Chris, gave us great backroad suggestions and hints for local restaurants. What a great find.

  our family, which included our grand daughter (1 1/2 years old) recently stayed at the decarli house in petaluma. it is located centrally in the town and is a great step off to many tourist destinations. our main intention was to visit with our son and girlfriend, who live in a small apartment in petaluma. it was a great location and was very conducive to some good family meals and visits. our hostess was available, if needed, and we also had all the privacy that we could want. the owners do live next door but were most unobtrusive. we would highly recommend this exceptional home with all the high end amenities to anyone who enjoys relaxation, convenience and especially preparations of delicious meals in a well equipped kitchen! thank you, chris, for your special hospitality!

  Beautiful, fun and relaxing. Stayed here while we had work done on our home in Petaluma. I have driven by the house many times and was always curious. It is a fantastic house and we were able to share it with friends who were thrilled to come for a lovely dinner (great dining table and super music collection). We absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. Chris and Greg went above and beyond. They were extremely accommodating and very gracious. Quite the gem in Petaluma!

  I just spent a couple of days at the Decarli House in Petaluma, and let me be very clear, "I am picky." The place looks exactly as it appears in the pics, and is immaculately maintained. I can't believe how luck I felt to have happened upon a stay here, simply by chance and the referral of an dear old friend. The house is so beautiful, and is so well appointed, that one really understands the importance of tranquility and peaceful downtime. These owners take "pride" to the next level, and you are sure to return once you have experienced such bliss.

  I got married in Sonoma during June 2010 and wanted a place to use as a base the week before our wedding. I really loved the look of the DeCarli House compared to the other house properties in the area. It definitely didn't disappoint. The place is definitely as beautiful as it looks! We just loved the attention to detail and especially the custom furniture! The kitchen is just great too. We wanted to prepare a lot of our own food and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed! It was like being at home. Chris was extremely helpful to us before our visit. She was kind enough to take some shipments for me since we were planning the wedding from London. It really was a huge help. She also warmly welcomed us to the house with lovely irises and a selection of beers from the area. Can't wait to get back one day and have a wedding reunion at the house :)

  My wife and I live in Petaluma and have always admired this house. We ended up renting it for my parents and family members when they visited this fall. (Our house was not big enough for everyone.) We were all very impressed. Great presentation. Very clean. Great amenities. (They even had an extra set of golf clubs my brother used.) The couple that run the place were super accommodating and gave us a late check-out on the day everyone was leaving. Overall, I would recommend this home for anyone interested in a large place for family gatherings.

  My extended family gathered together at DeCarli House to celebrate our mother's 100th birthday. The wonderful week-end was made more special by the excellent quality of the furnishings and appliances and the fully equiped kitchen. Some of us have stayed at other vacation rentals, but none have had the overall quality of this beautiful house. And it's very easy to find!

  My family took a trip to northern California back in June and decided to stay at this house because we really liked the idea of an eco-friendly approach to a rental property. We were not disappointed. We loved this place. Organic sheets and comfortable organic mattresses. Easy recycling and composting. A nearby farmers' market with lots of organic produce. They made it simple to be green while on vacation! They even provided bicycles, so we barely used our rental car while in the town of Petaluma. We played tennis in a nearby park with nice tennis rackets from the house. We golfed at a beautiful course along the Russian River among towering redwoods. (It was pretty impressive.) My boys played lots of basketball in the backyard and a court up the street. The owners made several great suggestions for dining, hiking and day trips. They were truly helpful. We looked at a number of possible rentals in the area and kept coming back to this one. It was well kept, well designed and has a distinct feel you usually don't find in rental properties. We love what they offered and consider it to be a very special place. We will always stay here when in northern California. Gloria from Minneapolis
