The Rock at Jocassee mountain golf and recreation community near Pickens SC and Table Rock State Park lies in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just minutes from beautiful lakes Jocassee and Keowee. Come visit us for a couple of days or for a week and take easy day trips to Asheville, NC the Blue Ridge Parkway, Victoria Valley Vineyards, Ceasers Head State Park and the beautiful Fred W. Symmes Chapel (Pretty Place) at YMCA Camp Greenville. A favorite spot to stay for nearby weddings, golf or just relaxing in the mountains.
This unusual pedestal house built high in the trees has a living room, dining room, full kitchen, three bedrooms, three full baths, and extraordinary mountain views from a spectacular deck on the rear of the house. This house has arguably the best mountain views of all of the rentals in the development. Stay with us and listen to the nearby water falls on sliding rock.
The house is well equipped with telephones, wireless broad band internet access, fax machine, 3 TVs, VCR, DVD, stereo, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, and a gas log fireplace.
Nearby there is horse back riding/lessons and nature and water fall watching at its finest. And of course the beautiful 18 hole Rock at Jocasse mountain golf course.

We're the Littlefield's from Land O Lakes Florida, near Tampa. Melanie is a fifth generation Floridian originally from Orlando. Neil is a retired Army officer originally from upstate New York. Both of us are currently semi retired dabbling in real estate, golf, arts and crafts and travel. We have two grand children here in Florida and four more in Williamsburg/Yorktown Virginia. Two pups, Gracie the Maltese and Dahlia the Morkie - round out the family. They are often with us in our pet friendly South Carolina vacation house. They love it! So will you!
Why the Owner Chose Table Rock
We simply fell in love with the area during a vacation trip there nearly six years ago. Although we have some of the world famous Cliffs Communities nearby, we found the Rock at Jocassee to be an affordable alternative for us and we couldn't resist it. We not only bought a lot, we bought a house. We think it was and continues to be a diamond in the rough along the beautiful SC Highway 11 corridor -- especially now with its new owners.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The Rock at Jocassee is approximately 150 miles (2 1/2 hrs) from Atlanta on I-85 and SC 11. From Greenville SC, about 30 miles (45 min.) taking US 178 to SC 11 out of Easley SC. A few of the must see places located within easy reach include Table Rock State Park, Lakes Jocassee and Keowee, Clemson University and its Botanical Gardens, Cashiers and Highlands NC. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 35 miles away. Additional locations include the Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn and Spa in Ashville NC, Caesars Head Park, Victoria Valley Vineyards, Pretty Place at Camp Greenville YMCA, several rated white water rafting rivers, Mountain Bike Trails, Lake Toxaway, Bi-Lo center and historic downtown Greenville, Lake Hartwell, Cherokee Scenic Parkway, Sapphire, Brevard and its renowned summer music in the park, Nantahalla Gorge and River and much, much more! We especially enjoy the cooler weather when visiting from Florida and the beautiful fall colors.

This house is spectacular! It is very spacious, clean, well maintained and comfortable, and we immediately felt right at home. If you want to relax, enjoy spectacular mountain views, explore nature, listen to waterfalls, sprawl on comfortable furniture, hang out with friends and family, enjoy cozy evenings by the fireplace, and maybe play a few rounds of golf (or not) this is the place for you! We enjoyed inviting family and friends up to the house for dinner, and also enjoyed eating out at the clubhouse grill. Everyone LOVED this house and wanted to come back again, but nobody more than us. We have been vacationing in the Carolina's for over 20 years but had not experienced a relaxing week like this. It was very unforgettable and will long remain in my mind as the best vacation we have had in years. I truly feel it is because of the ambiance of this home and all the personal touches Neil and Melanie have put into making it so very comfortable for everyone to enjoy. You will not regret a moment you spend here; in fact like me you will probably be very sad when it is time to leave! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place with us. This property deserves a 5 star on every level. The house itself is an architectural wonder. The owners are SO easy and willing to work with. The price is UNBEATABLE (they let us pay 1 bedroom price and just use one bedroom since there's only 2 of us)!! The view is amazing (pictures do not do it justice!). And oh the WATERFALL that's right in the backyard!! What a pleasant surprise! (I'm a huge waterfall fanatic, and this waterfall was easily a 7 out of 10.) Excellent location - top of the mountain, yet no gravel roads to deal with, which was great for our little Civic. The house was well equipped, very cozy and comfortable. We've told everyone we know about this property and we can't wait to return!!

Very nice place to stay. The house is in good shape; well-maintained. The location is wonderful for those who prefer easily accessible outdoor activities. It is close to some nice State parks though simply leaving the driveway gains you access to a series of trails and local waterfalls. Or - simply hang out on the terrace and enjoy the views. Cooperative and informative assistance on-site as well...

I would recommend this rental because of it's great location and beautiful view. Three couples rented the Tree House for a week and had such a great time. They guys went golfing and the women went apple picking and horseback riding. There is something for everyone. We visited nearby parks and did a short hike. Wish we had more time to explore. We plan on going back next year and take in the sights that we missed. The owners and the staff had the Rock were awesome!! Highly recommended it. House in great shape very clean and comfortable.

We had an amazing time at the Tree House. It is the highest home on the mountain which provides amazing views of the mountains and golf course. Very clean and well maintained. Definitely a great deal and owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

You must see this place in person to appreciate it. It is amazing and so peaceful. See the stars from the fabulous back deck at night or mountain views by day. A TRUE GEM. My highest recommendation to this 1st class vacation home!!

We really had a good time up in the table rock area during my last visit. We stayed very busy during the day and it was very nice to come back to this house and sit out on the incredible deck. We also enjoyed hearing the sound of stream at the bottom of the hill. This house was complete with everything you need. I look forward to making a return visit to this house again.

This house was truly up in the trees, it was amazing. My teenage nieces didnt want to leave the deck where you can actually hear the waterfalls. We were in awe as the pictures did no justice to the beauty you actually got to see! Very clean and spacious. We're all dying to go back :) -Group of girls from Florida

The Littlefield's (property owner's) went above and beyond to accomodate my wife and I during our stay. The house is located on a beautiful golf course and is in an area that offers the privacy we wanted. I strongly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an escape and have already booked my next visit.
