Satisfied Seniors

Guest: Arielmac (Florida)
Date of Stay: 11/16/11 Review Submitted: 11/23/11

This home is absolutely lovely and presents exactly as described. The photos do not do it justice. The owners obviously care about their home. It was perfectly maintained, extremely clean and well stocked with supplies, kitchen utensils and towels. The owners were readily available to help in case we had problems or questions. We actually had a chance to meet the couple and decided we could be friends if we lived in the area. They are extremely caring people. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area. There are many things to see and do we kept very busy. Restaurants abound in Gallatin and the surrounding area. Despite the hype, we would not return to the Loveless Cafe. All in all, it was a fantastic trip.

Secluded, Private and perfect for a reunion

Guest: Deb (Toney, AL)
Date of Stay: 03/22/11 Review Submitted: 04/02/11

We had a reunion and just enjoyed staying mostly inside because of the weather. The lake was beautiful and we enoyed a short walk down by the water. Having a fire in the fireplace really was a highlight. The accomodations were great, we cooked in every meal and loved the homey-ness of the kitchen. We saw deer a couple times and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful environment. This rental went above our expectations; everything that we were told would be available was there and more. The owners went beyone our expections and answered all quesitons before we arrived.

Cozy, wonderful!

Five of us gals who hadn't been all together for 13 years converged on this beautiful property that has it all. There's plenty of room for a variety of activities (we scrapbooked perfectly.) The views were wonderful and the kitchen felt like we were home - cooking was easy as it had all the basic utensils. The lake was gorgeous!!! The owners were warm and have prepared the property for the perfect getaway. Again, thank you SOOO much!!!

Absolutely awesome cabin for relaxing - beautiful setting & very nice cabin

Guest: Augies (Fort Wayne IN)
Date of Stay: 11/19/10 Review Submitted: 11/24/10

My husband and I along with another couple stayed at this cabin on 11/19 - 11/22. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples (offering privacy with BR's & bath) but common living areas. The beds were very comfortable, the deck was perfect for sharing morning tea/coffee (most favorite part of the trip), reading a good book & playing games at night. We saw lots of deer & had a beautiful view of the lake. The property was exceptionally clean, offering all the "things" one needed for a home away from home for a few days. In addition, it is an easy 30-40 minute drive into downtown Nashville or to the other surrounding towns. Lastly, the husbands enjoyed playing horseshoes but didn't get a chance to do any fishing. We would highly recommend this property to friends and would most certainly stay there again - it was truly awesome and the owners (Jack & Lenore) were fabulous people to deal with. Best place we have ever stayed!

Guest: Della (NC)
Date of Stay: 10/07/10 Review Submitted: 10/13/10

We traveled from NC to meet friends from Miss and this was a great place to meet and enjoy the sites of Nashville. The pictures do not do this lake home justice. The scenery was fantastic, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We felt very much at home. There was plenty of seating outside as the weather was wonderful so we could visit indoors and out. We were close enough to enjoy all the sites of Nashville. Everyone we encountered during our visit to Nashville and around town was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time!

Softball Gang

Guest: MJ (Umatilla, Florida)
Date of Stay: 09/16/10 Review Submitted: 09/29/10

Our Softball gang stayed at this beautiful place from 9-16-2010 to 9-20-2010. We had a bonfire in the front on one of the cooler evenings. You could see the lake and the moon from all our positions around the fire. In the early mornings, we could all meet on the lower level patio to discuss the day and our upcoming games. The inside was pristine. Everything fresh and clean. This is where we want to stay the next time we have games in that area. Some of us did a little exploring in the huge yard. I found a tourtise shell that I have already cleaned up and have on my table.

Our stay at Old Hickory Lake Cabin

Guest: Tammy (Austin)
Date of Stay: 06/17/10 Review Submitted: 06/29/10

We were so pleased to arrive and find that this home was so clean with top shelf bedding and a well equipped kitchen. We drove form Austin to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday. The directions were great because we came in at night so thankfully the owner was detail oriented which was perfect. My brother's family drove up to visit us at the cabin during the days and with a total of 5 adults and 3 children we had plenty of room to cook and eat together. There is a near by marina where we rented a pontoon boat and toured the lake. The pontoon boat did not go fast so be prepared. We tied it up at the cabin and were able to go out from there as well. The owner, Jack came to take trash away and he was a wonderful person. We had to call him a few times to ask questions and he was always available. This is a shared property so you may have someone renting out the other home that is attached but they have separate entrances and although it is a duplex type of set up the cabins are fairly separated. There are plenty of areas outside for sitting that are easily shared. We had a blow up pool and the kids splashed around for hours while we grilled out. Beautiful setting with nice privacy. The outdoor living areas have ceiling fans and there is a gas grill, picnic tables and patio furniture to enjoy the outdoor setting. Very well furnished and clean. I will recommend this to my friends.

Eagle's Cove

Guest: Ramblin Rose (Enterprise, AL USA)
Date of Stay: 04/09/10 Review Submitted: 04/14/10

My family spent a short weekend at this property, and it was every bit as lovely as its description. The owners were very helpful in working with me when I had to change my plans a couple of times, and they continued being helpful after we arrived and needed help with directions for a wedding. The property is beautifully decorated, clean, and well-maintained. The view of the lake across the road is stunning, and it was hard to leave this peaceful place after such a short visit. My family has decided that we want to return, and in the meantime, I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, lovely home away from home.

Wonderful and Peaceful Place to Relax and Renew

Guest: Layla, Katarina, Ginger, and Cherry (Jefferson City, MO USA)
Date of Stay: 02/18/10 Review Submitted: 02/23/10

Thank you so much for sharing your place with us. All weekend we kept saying what a great find this was and how fortunate for us it was available. It made our visit to Nashville that much more rewarding. We really appreciate the care that you give your home and the concern you share for us in making sure we made it okay, making yourself available during our stay if there was a need and giving such wonderful directions so that our trip there went smooth and was enjoyable. We slept so well in your comfortable beds and it sure was nice to have a place to be able to relax without being stuck in a one bedroom hotel room. You could not wipe the smiles from our faces the whole time we were there. And you must have requested gorgeous weather from the man upstairs because while it was winter in Missouri it was Spring at your place--which made even that much nicer. Thanks Jack and Lenore for contributing to such a memorable "Girls Weekend of Relaxation." We all said that we will have to do this again and only at your place!!! Thanks Again!! Carlene, Deborah, Kathleen, and Bridget February 18-21, 2010

Owner response:My wife and I enjoy staying at the Cabin and are very happy when others remark about its relaxing environment and convenient features. We are especially pleased to hear others brag about our comfortable beds and the amenities and space we offer that hotels do not. Please let us know if we can be of service to you and your family. We look forward to serving you.

December - January vacation

Guest: Q (Grandville Michigan)
Date of Stay: 12/16/09 Review Submitted: 02/09/10

This was definately one of the most relaxed and peaceful vacations my wife and I have been on in the last 4 years. We came in December and spent 4 weeks visiting our daughter and grandchildren. Everything was just as Jack and Lee had said it would be and more.It was warmly decorated and we felt right at home. The surroundings were beautiful even in the dead of winter and can only imagine how the scenery would be in the summer and fall.Jack and Lee were great to work with when our son and friends came in.They opened up both properties for us to accomodate our unexpected guests. We enjoyed the local resturants and especially the Chocolate Covered Strawberry.Hermitage and Nashville were only 30-45 minutes away for malls and entertainment. We truely felt God's presence during our intire stay at Eagle Cove and are looking forward to our next visit..We would definately recommend this as a home away from home to our friends and family.

Thank you for a wonderful place to stay We were in town visiting friend in Nashville and this was a great place for our family to stay. We were able to drive a short distance to our friends but we were far enough away to have some family time too! We enjoyed eating outside and one night we were able to have a camp fire and roast some marshmallows!

The Cottage was an absolute haven for my family.

Guest: jdavid (Texas)
Date of Stay: 11/26/08 Review Submitted: 01/05/09

My trip to Tennessee was rather sudden. I found out days before Thanksgiving that my son's deployment date had changed, and he would not be coming home for the Holidays. I immediately began my search for a place to stay in the area, and when I received a call from the owner of Eagle's Cove Cottage - I knew it was an answer to my prayers. The area was beautiful. The Cottage was very clean, comfortable and private - totally charming both in location, and decor. We really enjoyed being outside of town (Nashville) away from the hustle and bustle. The Cottage was an absoulute haven for my family. I will cherish our time together before my son's deployment and the memories made at Eagles' Cove. Another visit is definitely in our future and I've told all my friends what a great place this is. Thanks Jack and Lenore for the use of your beautiful Cottage. It was perfect!

Owner response:It's so rewarding to see the fruit of our dedicated work be recognized. We are looking forward to our clients return visit this year and providing our Vacation Cottage to future visitors. Come and enjoy a stay with us at Eagle's Cove Cottage. We are looking forward to meeting you. Sincerely, Jack and Lenore

Nice cottage...but be aware of a few things...

Guest: Surprised/Disappointed (ohio, USA)
Date of Stay: 10/13/08 Review Submitted: 10/15/08

Pros: -nice, quiet setting, peaceful lake -nicely decorated -well-stocked kitchen and bath (utensils, towels, etc) -very clean and well-kept -nice, large outdoor table Cons: -You are renting the "mother-in-law suite" of a house inhabited by a family with children. The family is very friendly, but this obviously does not provide the privacy expected with a "secluded cottage." There are no shared walls, but you can hear people above the living area. In addition, the deck is not truly "exclusive." -Not truly lakefront. There is a street and small gravel drive separating the home from the lake. -Those with sensitive noses may realize the home was at one time inhabited by a smoker. -No dining area - you are provided a small foldaway table and chairs that would be set up in the middle of the small living area.

Owner response:Dear Future Guests, We were very surprised, disappointed and sorry that, in spite of our best efforts, one of our visitor’s expectations were not entirely met. We somehow hope to make amends as our Goal is to Exceed all of our Guests expectations. We are especially surprised since our “Guest Book”, (with over 70 guests having stayed in our home in 2008) is consistently filled with very positive comments about our vacation home and property. Please be assured that our home offers an environmentally clean atmosphere as it is strictly a no-smoking and no-pet property. We’ve Never allowed a “smoker” in our home or on the property as we are extremely allergic to cigarette and pipe smoke. A discerning nose may occasionally catch a faint wisp of fireplace smoke…especially if one of our prior guests didn’t fully open the flue…But you will not find any foul cigarette smoke lingering at our home. We endeavor to create a “home away from home” atmosphere for all of our new traveling friends from around the world. We provide genuine southern hospitality and offer our lovely and comfortable vacation home to perfect strangers who quickly become friends. The lovely family living area consists of the sitting area with new couches for your comfort, a large wood-burning fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen, all conveniently accessible together “Cottage Style”. Please don't hesitate to call my wife or I should you have any questions. We hope to be of service to you and your family. Sincerely, Jack and Lenore
