This real log cabin was built new in 2000. Recently updated throughout, it is perfectly located in the arts and crafts community in Gatlinburg; just minutes away from downtown and the park. Roads and drive are completely paved and easily accessible for cars and road bikes.
The front covered porch lets you sit outside sheltered from the sun and the rain. The side deck offers a lovely view of the park and is open to the elements. There is also a back covered deck, which harbors the private hot tub. In the evening, the yard becomes illuminated with a soft glow.
Inside, the coziness of the cabin is evident. The main floor harbors the master suite, full kitchen, and a small, comfortable living room. The loft offers and additional bedroom with a private bath.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this cabin and had a great time. The location was out of the busy downtown area, but still convenient and easy to get to everything by car. We booked the cabin last minute and the owners were great in their communication. Very polite and professional. The cabin was clean and well cared for. The bed (memory foam) was extremely comfortable. The full kitchen was great and everything worked as it should. My only 2 complaints were: 1: The water heater is not a large enough capacity to fill the nice jetted tub in the master bath. 2: The hot tub didn't get quite hot enough for my taste (100F) Even with these 2 drawbacks I still really enjoyed the cabin and would stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Just had to write a review of this cabin. We have stayed at the Smokys each autumn for the last 14 years at different locations. This cabin beats all the others, hands down !!! We recommand you use a GPS. We put in the address provided by owners, and GPS took us there with no problems. The photos are exactly as the cabins looks. The cleanest we have ever been in and well maintained. The owners were helpful and renting cabin went very smoothly. We recommend this property to everyone and will return to this one again......Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

The cabin was clean and well stocked for us when we arrived. The owner's thought of about anything you might need. It was actually more spacious inside than I thought it would be. There is plenty of natural lighting in the cabin as well as an abundance of indoor lighting. The view from the hot tub was spectacular! Went spent quite a bit of time there as it was cool and rainy on our trip. We got to enjoy the fireplace as well. Definately a place you can relax and unwind. Our french bulldog was happy too. There was a nice grassy area for him. He enjoyed all windows in the cabin too as he is used to being able to look outside. We loved the location, right in the middle of the arts & crafts community, but far enough off the main road that we felt secluded. I love eating at The Wild Plum Tea Room, gourmet style food. They have the best tea (hot or iced) I've ever had. My husband is sold on The Real McCoy leather shop where he ordered his third belt from them this year. It was an easy drive to the Smokey Mountain National Park, Downtown Gatlinburg, or Pigeon Forge. We would love to rent this cabin again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

I must start off by saying how nice both Mr. and Mrs. Lacy are. They are very prompt in answering any questions or concerns you may have. This is the first time we have gone on vacation and taken our little miniature dachshund with us. He had a blast. I loved knowing that when we came home at night that Knox would be there waiting on us. It was so cute how he would look at us at the door when we would leave. The cabin was beautiful and well kept. Even though we didn't cook I did notice that the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to do so. There was plenty of room for us to take our dog outside so he could do his "business". I really enjoyed the jetted bath tub, and for those of you who don't like baths there is a shower as well. This was our 3rd annual trip to Gatlingburg and it's always nice to stay in a "nice" cabin. Thanks again Mark and VanDee for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

We arrived to find the cabin clean, well stocked, comfortable. The beds were nice and the views beautiful. When staying in the area again I will consider this cabin again. We were in the area to ride our motorcycles and the access to the cabin was good with ample level paved parking.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Baby Bear cabin. The cabin itself is very beautiful, with a truly great view of the Great Smoky Mountains. If you are interested in visiting the town of Gatlinburg or the mountains, the cabin is in excellent proximity to these locations, while still being in a very private location. We also took our 2 dogs with us, and we managed just fine with them at the cabin. The owners are also extremely helpful and really accomodated us immensely.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Great cabin in a nice location close to the Arts and Crafts community. The property was clean and the views were beautiful. The owners were very prompt with communication and helpful. Cabin had everything we needed for a weekend. I would recommend this property to stay in the area, very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but just a few minutes away. Great for a small family or couple. Thanks for letting us use your cabin!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Nice cabin for a couple. Owners very helpful. Beds were comfortable and location was good-close to town and arts/craft area, but away from the busyness of town. Would recommend this property and would stay again. The only negative was there were too many ladybugs! Maybe housekeeping should have got them from the windows. Some are fine, but there were lots! Very quite area. Husband says needs tv in loft area!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
