Wonderful 75th Birthday Party For My Dad

This property is wonderful. Eight of us were there for the weekend to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday. Nancy is an incredible hostess. She knew that there were two great grandchildren coming so she made sure to put toys in the living room and a baby gate to help block the stairs. The house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. All one needs to bring is food. The views from the two decks are superb. Honestly, this place is one of the best places I have rented. Great job Nancy!!!

Girls Getaway

I have just returned from a weekend at "Tropical Isle" and could not be more pleased. I took my teenage daughter and 3 of her friends and the house was perfect for us. The house was very clean and has all of the ammenities that you could need or want. You will be pleasantly surprised at how many "beach toys" are available. The girls pulled the wagon out filled with shovels and pails & were content to play for hours...it was a sight that warmed my heart! I have rented many homes over the years and found Nancy to be one of the nicest and easieast people to work with. I look forward to visiting again :)

Family get-together

Just came back from a weekend at this great home in Galveston.....my family got together to celebrate our "march birthdays. My siblings and I have a hard time getting together as much as we would like so our mom just took the bull by the horns, rented a house and told us to show up! We did!!! The house was perfect for us...we really liked that the living and sleeping areas are on different floors....my dad could go to bed after David letterman and those of us up for many more hours drinking wine, gossiping, etc...didn't bother him. On the flip side, when he woke up at 6:30 ready for coffe and the paper he didn't bother those of us that we're still sleeping!!! My favorite part of the house was the kitchen, as I am the family foodie! I cooked a lot over the weekend and this kitchen is totally stocked with anything you could need. Lots of rentals have kitchens with barely enough plates to serve a family of four...this kitchen is STOCKED! Lots of pots, pans, utensils, .....even great knives.the views to the beach are great...both porches offer great sightings of the entire area. The walk to the beach is short and easy and when you get to the beach it is great....not crowded or full of cars, loud music, etc....being right next door to the Seven Seas market is a huge plus...eventhough we brought all of our food needs with us, we still went to seven seas at least two times a day...incredible market....got to go...almost like a field trip...you'll be so surprised at what you find there...we were a group of all adults....grandparents in their 70's, siblings in their 50's and one sone in his 20's and the house worked so well for us. It would be perfect for families with lots of young ones as there are several bunk bed layouts. Nancy and Brian were great hosts and took care of everything perfectly....our family looks forward to staying here again on our next Galveston trip! Great place - loved the porch swing under the house!

I too, love Seven Seas Market. Their barbeque sandwiches they make there are as big as a saucer and so so good my husband and I usually split one. Come back again and don't wait for a birthday. We had another great stay this year! We rented the one next door last year, but since we had our families coming this time, we got the bigger townhome. Our parents loved the place & thought it was very nice. They had nothing but good things to say about "our beach house". Thank you, Nancy, for making this such a great place to stay with our family. Nancy was awesome to work with throughout the whole process of deciding where to have my family vacation...all 13+ of us! She was very thorough and curteous and helpful! When we arrived at our vacation beach house for the week...we were all very excited and very impressed with their home! Everything we needed was there...and then some. Everyone had a blast! The beach house is in a great location, very clean and fully stocked. Nancy & Brian, thank you for allowing us in your home...It was great and everyone really enjoyed it! Will definetly book again!

Flawless Experience

The house is great and the owner even better! It is well equipped and roomy (and we have seven kids)! The pictures really don't do justice to the beach views, either. I couldn't believe all the beach toys and movies and games that were in the house, we really lacked for nothing! The rooms are adorable and comfy, the kids had the time of their lives!

Lovely Weekend

My group of 11 (8 adults, 3 toddlers) stayed here for a long weekend and had an excellent time. The house is a perfect set up, very close to the beach and within walking distance to a little local store. The home owners provided everything you could think of - from linens to Pyrex dishes, beach chairs, grills, even a little rolling cooler. The house has 3 full baths which is great for a large group. In addition there are small details that make a big difference - full length mirrors outside two bathrooms, so someone can get dressed/put on makeup/blow dry hair while another person is showering. Laundry and dish soap provided. Wireless internet, and x-box, several dvd players (great for the little ones). We loved the two decks that face the beach! Nancy is so nice to work with & always available to help. If we had an issue (which we didn't) I know she would have responded right away. We will definitely be back next year!

Thanksgiving weekend

This place is truly as nice as it is represented if not nicer. We stayed for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The kitchen was stocked so well with pots, pans etc that we ended up cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was clean, well stocked, roomy and comfortable. The owners are wonderful and available if we needed anything. I can't say enough about the place or how much we enjoyed the getaway.

The Perfect (Late) Summer Getaway

What a perfect weekend! The description and pictures don't do this place justice. Very clean, well furnished, and an amazing view! How great it was to be so close to the beach and even better to have nearly the whole beach to ourselves. The amenities were ideal; we loved the bbq, gas grill and seafood cooker. The "little" market next store to the townhome had everything you could possibly need and is also walking distance. We enjoyed the large corner lot, porch swing and covered patio too. No complaints whatsoever. To top it all off the owners were great. They were extremely accomodating and friendly. We will definetely be back!

Not happy

8 of my friends and myself rented this property and the neighbooring property and were very unimpressed. We could barley get thru a day without the landlords knocking on our door and being very rude to us. We are all in the 30 age range and were treated like high school kids. It was embarrassing. Not to mention the fridge never got cold. I would not recommend this rental property.

Owner response:We treated these people with much more respect than they treated our home. Several neighbors called the police because they were shooting fireworks off the decks onto adjacent homes, and were throwing chairs off the 3rd floor deck . We knocked only twice, the second time being when we entered with the police, and found the strong smell of smoke in our non-smoking home. They were evicted and sent away by the police in a cab because the police determined that no one was fit to drive. The fridge works fine.

Nice place, nice location, nice owners

Our party consisted of 2 adults and 5 children with ages ranging from 9-16. We stayed 7/25-7/30/10. The house was very comfortable; it had a lived in feeling that made you feel at home. The double decks provided a lovely sitting area at night to listen to the waves and feel the Gulf breeze. A big plus is the location of the grocery store right next door; it is just a few feet away. The house is also just a short walk to the beach. It is great since there are not a lot of people in that area. We had a good portion of the beach and Gulf to ourselves. Sure there were other people on the beach, but they were so far away that it felt private. The house also comes with an umbrella, boogie boards, inner tubes, and other beach must haves. This made the water more fun for everyone. Overall, this place was a nice place. The owners, The Foyes, were also very nice. They gave us advice on where to fish & tried to make our stay as nice as possible.

Our Summer Vacation

This was our second year to stay at Tropical Isle and we loved it! Brian and Nancy are the most accomodating and friendly owners we have come across. They make sure we had everything we need for our stay. They really go above and beyond. The house comes complete with anything we need for the beach and even entertainment for the kids inside too. Makes our vacation so easy and enjoyable! The house is just as clean and well maintained as the pictures show and Nancy's attention to detail makes it a home away from home! We have recommended Tropical Isle to many of our friends and we will be sure to come back again next summer!

Great rental unit

We really enjoyed the property. Although we had a large party (7 adults and 2 kids) we fit everyone in and slept comfortably. The unit is a very short walk to the quiet beach, which was great for all of us (aged 2 yrs to 81 yrs). Nick's restaurant was a quick walk and had delicious food, and the mart next door was very convenient. Very comfortable, clean, and scenic.

Great property away from the crowds

We stayed here this past weekend. Our group consisted of 7 adults and 5 children all under the age of 10. I loved the fact that the bedrooms were on a different level of the house than the kitchen and living area. It was wonderful to be able to put the kids down for naps without being disturbed by the people who weren't sleeping. When we arrived, the townhouse was very clean. There was no stale or musty odor. Linens were fresh and clean and everything was neat. Nancy was extremely helpful in making our reservations. She was understanding when we thought we may have to cancel our trip at the last minute. Thankfully, we were able to go and had a wonderful time. Our family visited Schilterbahn which was only 10 minutes away. We also made a 45 minute drive to Kehma Island where we had an absolute blast. We finished up the trip by having lunch at the Rainforst Cafe. I would definitely suggest this home for a large group. There were even more beds/sleep areas than I expected. Our children slept in a different place every night! And I almost forgot............. we had a LARGE area of the beach all to ourselves. We were able to set up our tent and allow our children to run wild without worrying about disturbing others. We really had a blast and I would definitely rent this home again. This was my first experience in a condo. We normally get hotel rooms. Although the cost was slightly more than a hotel, we saved a load of money by preparing our own meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Loved it!

Excellent family vacation rental

We just returned from vacation and are already excited about returning next summer. The house was extremely clean and looked just like the pictures. The owners are the very helpful and super nice. It was a close to all of the attractions we wanted to visit (Schlitterbahn, Moody gardens) and a short walk to the beach (which you have a great view of from the balconies). I highly reccommend this rental to anyone wanting to go to Galveston and know this will not be our last visit.

Home away from Home

Again I want to say this landlords are top notch!!! This Memorial Day 2011 will be our 2nd year at this property and our 4th at the one next door which they also own!! Last year was my daughters 16th Birthday and they decorated the condo in "Sweet 16" themed items and it was a HUGE hit when we opened the door to find that all of her friends LOVED it!!!! They are great people with huge hearts and will go out of their way to make your stay perfect!! The location couldn't be better and the beach is seriously our favorite on the island and we have been coming for years and have been to many.... Enjoyed the market next door bought fresh shrimp for kabobs one night DELICIOUS!!!!! We can't wait til we are back again this year, the condo itself is immaculate and there is no detail left undone! Thanks Bryan and Nancy!

Houston also has Space Ctr Houston and Houston has an underground tour of all the tall buildings and their history. Galveston has recovered graciously after Hurricane IKE. Kemah Boardwalk is a great adventure in the Clear Lake area to visit. The Mardi Gras is coming up, plus the Houston Livestock and Rodeo. Or Just a few quiet days at the Beach is very rejuvenating. Nice home on a great beach location

My husband, 20mo daughter, and my mom all stayed at this house from Thr-Sun. The house was very nice and had everything we needed for the extended weekend. The owners even greated us on Friday and added to the toys, etc in the storage closet. The distance to the beach is a very short stroll...it was like being right off the beach. We loved it. The area of beach was private, quiet, and beautiful. There were lots of shells for my daughter to collect. The only issues we had were out of the owners control..the power went out to the entire block for about 4 hours in the middle of the night and then we had a large group of guys a couple of doors down partying until 3 AM in the morning both Friday and Saturday night in which we had to go outside and ask them to be quiet at which point they moved to the beach. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend this property to everyone of all ages.
