Our property is located on a beautiful tree-lined street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, one of the historic neighborhoods included in the National Registry. Only 15 minutes from Manhattan, Fort Greene offers many local amenities including restaurants, museums, cinemas, shopping and nearby Fort Greene and Prospect Parks, as well as the beautiful Brooklyn Botanical Garden. We are walking distance to Pratt Institute and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, a major performing arts venue known as a center for its progressive and avant garde works.
Our home is a traditional historic brownstone duplex with many original details including crown moldings, wood and marble mantles, wood floors and high ceilings. The parlor floor offers a huge living room with cable television, DVD player and stereo, a large open kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, a large dining area and a half bathroom.
The lower level has two spacious air conditioned bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the second, perfect for children , has bunk beds. There is a full bathroom and laundry room on the floor. We also have a queen-size or two twin size air mattresses.
We have a perfect, large backyard with a patio and gas grill. Also a lovely hammock for relaxing in the sun or early evenings.
Walking distance to many subway stations: the A,B,C,D,G,N,Q,R,V,2,3,4,5 and the Long Island Railroad.
