LOCATION:
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is a 3 hour drive west from Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway that winds through the Rocky Mountains. Along the highway, you will pass through Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Field. It is located 15 minutes up from Golden BC.
ACCESS TO RESORT AMENITIES:
Day lodge and gondola, restaurants, shopping, general store 5 min walk away. Golf, skiing, white water rafting, heli-skiing, horse back riding, hiking, mountain biking in the area. Cross country skiing trails located directly behind home. Many other surrounding golf courses within a 1.5 hour drive. Cross country skiing is accessible right out the back door of the Chalet - 20 km of maintained trails at the Dawn Mountain Nordic Ski Area!

Upstairs Master Bedroom: 1 King Bed (sleeps 2). Large master bedroom has great views of the mountains through 3 windows. The room has a custom hand built furniture package including a sleigh king bed, built-in armoire, and chest. Adjoining en suite features an impressive double shower with slate tile surround, double shower heads and body jets.
Bedroom 2: 1 King Bed (sleeps 2). Upstairs bedroom features great views of the mountains and a custom hand built furniture set similar to the one in the master bedroom. The adjacent bathroom has a tub and double shower with body jets and is slate tiled throughout.
Bedroom 3: 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). Lower level third bedroom features an armoire, heated flooring, and an adjacent bathroom. The bathroom has a tub and shower with body jets and is slate tiled throughout.
Loft: 1 Queen Hide-A-Bed/Sofa Bed (sleeps 2).Massive loft overlooking great room offers a great view of the mountains through two large windows. The room has a gas fireplace and an entertainment system including plasma TV and satellite. The room offers adequate privacy and is adjacent to the upstairs bathroom.
Bedroom 4: 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). Lower level third bedroom features an armoire, heated flooring, and an adjacent bathroom. The bathroom has a tub and shower with body jets and is slate tiled throughout.

Bathroom 1- has toilet, shower and one basin. Located off the deck for use after the hot tub, and located on the main floor for use of guests

Amazing house on the hill at Kicking horse resort. House was very clean and provided everything we could need during our stay. Lots of space for everyone however the loft was not quite what I expected, maybe a picture would explain more clearly to potential guests. Bathrooms and bedrooms were fantastic. Fireplace was nice to relax by after a day on the hill. It would be nice to have a TV on the main level (there is only one in the loft/TV room upstairs). Overall I was very pleased with the accomodation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The property was gorgeous. We were a little disappointed there was no TV, we wanted to watch the finals of the Juniors hockey, and we would have liked to be able to BBQ. We had a lot of trouble with the hot tub - it wouldn't stay hot. But overall it was great. We would recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Wonderful skiing excursion with a group of friends. The hotub was great & very relaxing. The chalet was absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of room for everyone, a beautiful big kitchen, and a huge table to enjoy group dinners. A fantastic time was had by all!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from this chalet and we LOVED it!!! There were 3 families that fit very comfortably and the skiing was awesome. It was great to stay so close to the mountain, ski all day and relax in the hot tub and hear the fireplace crackling. We are hoping to make it an annual event! Thanks so much!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: This home is owned by a group of friends that fell in love with Golden and its exceptional skiing back in their university days. For many years, we spent many a trips coming to Golden in a run town van and staying at the Golden Rim. As time went on and Kicking Horse started to get more developed, we had the crazy idea of scrounging together our live savings and buying a lot in the Dogtooth Properties. And that was the start of it all...
Why the Owner Chose Kicking Horse Mountain Resort:
The owners have been involved right from the start. When the lot was purchased, not even a road existed into this area. We all recall the time spent beating through the bush trying to locate where all the lots were being planned. With amazing views from the front and the back, and its privacy, and great proximity to all the ski trails, this was something that we couldn't pass up.
