This lovingly maintained home has a fabulous layout sure to accommodate your needs. Plus you are always aware that you are at the lake in the mountains. 'Relax This Season
The Great Room features wood beams across the vaulted pine-knot ceiling and a large, comfy sectional sofa in front of the wood burning fireplace - maybe roast marshmallows tonight? This room also includes the 32' cable TV and DVD player, high speed internet, fun board games and jig-saw puzzles.
The Kitchen offers new appliances: dishwasher, range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and blender and is also fully stocked with new cookware, utensils, and dishes to make your stay feel like a home away from home – perfect for cook-outs and large family dinners!
Through the Kitchen Door, on the side deck, your catch of the day or favorite food sizzles on the grill while you enjoy the lake, mountains and tall pines – there is nothing like the fresh smell of pine trees and listening to the breeze through the pines. The side deck leads to the spacious back yard that invites lots of fun play including sledding and building snow-people when nature brings in her snow.
After a full day of fun, the spa sits on the covered deck with lake and mountain views ready to bubble your aches from the day away. Or, relax on the adirondack chairs and watch the colors of the sunset at play on the lake while the ducks chatter about their day’s activities. Life, as you had known it only minutes earlier, looks quite spectacularly different. In the Great Room enjoy the roaring fire in the fireplace to roast marshmallows then before retiring to bed, turn the electric blankets to preheat making your bed cozy and ready to take you to your sugar plum dreams.
4 Seasons Of Fun is centrally located, convenient to all that Big Bear Lake offers while located on a quiet street, providing a relaxing, get-away atmosphere.
LOCATION
Central Big Bear Lake: Our cabin is located across the street from Big Bear Lake, 400 feet from Big Bear Marina, with views of the mountains and the lake. It is 400 feet to lake access for the public and Big Bear Marina with dock rental options; .25 mile (1 min) to BB Village & Pine Knot Marina; .74 miles (2 min drive) to Alpine Slide; 1 mile (3 min drive) to Meadow Park Swim Beach, 2 miles (5 min drive) to Snow Summit Ski Resort; and 4 miles (10 min drive) to Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Golf Course & the Moonridge Animal Park - check out the map for the visual location.
FUN STUFF CLOSE TO THE CABIN
Big Bear Marina is about 1/2 block away (400 feet). The Marina offers lake tours and rents out kayaks, jet skis, boats, etc. Public Lake access is available right next to this marina where I've taken my grandson fishing and he caught a big one!
About a 10 min walk away is Pine Knot Marina with a paddle boat tour, para-sailing and, of course, rents jet skis and boats. Guests have remarked about the fun they have enjoyed here.
The Bowling Barn is a couple of blocks away with Large Screen Sports TV, Pool Tables, Arcade Games and, of course, Bowling. Glow Bowling is especially fun that kicks off at 8:30p (M-F) and 7:30p (S-S).
The Village is a couple of blocks away (my 85 yr old mom walks it in 15 min) and is always a fun place to hang out with its arcades, shops, restaurants and ice cream & candy store. The Village also offers 2 movie theaters with a total of 5 screens always showing first rate movies.
Alpine Slide is ~ 1 mile away (2 min drive). In the summer, it is a very popular place to stay cool in its water slide and also has gocarts, minature golf and the bobsled. In the winter, the crazy fun is to slide down the snow covered hill in truck size inner tubes and also enjoy the bobsleds.
A little further away - maybe a 5 min drive is Meadow Park - popular for its swim beach, tennis courts, and volleyball sand court.
About a 5 min drive is the Summit Sky Chair that takes you from 7000 base to 8200 feet in the summer. They have the summer trails set up for the mountain biking or explore the hiking trails or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Of course, in the winter it is a skier's and snow boarder's paradise.
The Discovery Center, run by the Forest Service, provides hiking permits and offers, for a low cost, kayaking and canoe tours, and craft classes for kids; for free, forest classes. It is located across the lake on north shore.
Moonridge Animal Park about a 10 min drive is home to artic animals no longer able to live in the wild. Mama Grizzly and her 2 children were relocated from Yellowstone after they received 3 strikes for stealing easy access food are an example of the interesting animals in this park located across the street from Bear Mountain.
Guests have shared their horseback riding fun at Baldwin Stables about a 20 min drive from the cabin. They thought it was the best.

Brought my hubby and 2 boys (4,1) here for a birthday suprise and we couldnt be happier. We come to Big Bear a couple times a year trying different cabins each time but after staying at 4 Seasons of Fun we will not be renting any other cabin if we can help it! It has a gorgeous deck complete with a spa that you can relax in while looking at the lake. All of the rooms have ample room and my 4 year old was really into the bunk bed! The master bedroom is huge with a king size bed and all of the beds have delicious heated blankets. We loved sitting in front of the fire playing go fish. The kitchen was so well stocked that there wasnt anything we didnt need. The appliances are all top of the line and there is a front load washer/dryer for you convienance as well as a gas grill! The best part for a mom of a 1 year old who is walking is that besides the stairs to enter the cabin everything else is a single story and the fireplace is built raised into a mantle with a shelf so I didnt have to worry about the baby trying to reach in there and we could enjoy a fire all weekend long. The cabin is close to everything! Thanks to 4 seasons of fun our weekend was sheer perfection. To top it all off Sharon left us an awesome gift basket with essentials and fun stuff for the kids. She even had a Birthday baloon and a birthday message on the chalkboard. It was such a great personal touch and shows that she is really into making your stay special. One thing we regrett is not coming up with another family. For a family of four where 2 of them are pint sized meant a lot of open space. Thsi cabin is really large and can fit 8 adults comfortably. We will definately be bringing others to enjoy in the experiance next time.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and fun! It was full of things to do in the cabin, from board games to DVDs to relaxing in the jacuzzi, and outside is the lake, the bowling ally and the ski area. Great location walking distance to the village and the bowling alley. Great experience overall:-) oh and there was a gift basket waiting for us when we arrived!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This review is a long time coming. I had booked this cabin two years ago for a chance for me and my best friend to just unwind from the daily push and go. It was great to just hang out on the porch reading good books and talking, relaxing in the jacuzzi, catching up on our favorite missed tv episodes with a fire going, and having great meals prepared and eating while looking over lake and mountain views. It was a great time to just chill out and breathe some fresh air. Everything was provided that we needed, it was an awesome memorable time for us. 1 year ago my Father passed and it was a rough two year process in helping my mother to take care of him through his illness, so I thought it would be great to share my first experience with the cabin with my Mom. She jumped on the idea and Sharon was great in helping us to book a couple of days at a really good rate, we ended up booking three nights. She fell in love with it! From just breathing in the scenery from the rocking chair on the porch, to relaxing in the jacuzzi, to having meals overlooking the lake and then warming up to fire at night, and then to morning walks into the village. She was so impressed with how everything was stocked and provided in the cabin and how close everything was from stores, to movie theatres to restaurants. We had a much needed healing and relaxing great time! Thanks Sharon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was a perfect cabin for my husband and I and our 2 young kids. The cabin was large, with a great layout. We loved eating breakfast looking out over the lake, and sitting on the porch in the late afternoon. Our toddler was entertained by the books and toys, and a booster seat and pack and play were provided. After the kids went to sleep, my husband and I relaxed in the hot tub off the master bedroom. We walked down to the lake to feed the ducks, and the village is right there too. Really perfect location. The property was very clean and well-maintained, with tons of pots and pans, condiments, silverware, utensils, soap, towels, blankets, and even a great welcome basket--everything you could want. The owner was super-responsive. A great experience all around!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a great stay at this cabin. The Cabin is within walking distance to lots of activities and comes well stocked with fun things for the kids to play with. We did stay there during one of the hottest days of the year, and the house does not have AC. But the house has a number of fans for each rooms. We'll try to come back when we go back to go skiing!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Grace - Thank you for being our guest and leaving your nice review. Yes, even the mountains do have their hot days which is why we enjoy the cool lake breeze and lake view while sitting on the deck after a day of fun on the lake. We look forward to your return for fun on the slopes in the winter.

We have been going to Big Bear several times a year for many years. 4 Seasons of Fun is hands-down the best cabin we've ever stayed in. No mis-matched towels or cooking utensils, no dirty carpets or crusty bath tub grout, this place is clean and beautifully cared for. The cabin is roomy and the details are beautifully done. The mountain-style look and feel is everything we love in a mountain cabin. Only two hours of driving from LA and we were in a perfect, relaxing retreat, sitting on teak rocking chairs on the front porch, with our feet up, sipping wine and watching the sun set over the lake. It was perfect for our long summer weekend. Within walking distance we could visit the marina, walk into town or hit-up our favorite Mexican restaurant for shrimp tacos and margaritas. And after a short drive we were at some of our favorite local hiking trails. Truthfully, we are so thankful that we found a lovely cabin to rent in the future. No more nasty surprises when we walk in the door. We love Big Bear. We love sharing it with our family and friends. And we'll be coming back to 4 Seasons of Fun soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We came to Big Bear to ski and spend time with family and this was a great cabin for us. There was plenty of room for me, my husband, our children and grandchildren, inside and out. My grandsons eyed the goody basket right away and couldn't wait to dive in...what a nice surprise! We were pleasantly surprised with 1-1/2 feet of snow and spent lots of time in the big back yard playing in it. When we got too cold we spent good times in front of the fireplace warming up. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi, with the awesome lake views and the snow falling around us. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Sharon for sharing your cabin with us!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a great time in this cabin. Beautiful view of the lake, loved looking out from all the windows to the lake. There was only 4 of us, so we had plenty of room. Loved the very quite and super efficient washing machine and dryer....used it everyday...The deck was very nice too with the hot tub. We were so blesses with 16 inches of snow the day we arrived. It made for a wonderful ski trip. Location is fantastic. Thank you for the gift basket. We manage 4 vacation rentals in Orange County....we will definitely return back to this cabin. "Pine Knot Trail: My grandson (age 10+) and I (age 55+) love this 6 mile round trip hike along a stream. Caution as there is a 1,400ft elevation change but well worth the view from the top – a 270 degree panorama around the mountain into the valley and across to San Gorgonio – the tallest peak in Southern California."

"4 miles (10 min drive) to the zoo. This zoo is a rehabilitation facility offering injured, orphaned and imprinted wild animals a safe haven; temporarily while they heal or permanently as they are unable to survive on their own. We are extremely proud that 90% of all the animals brought to us for rehabilitation are successfully released back into their native environment. Those that remain with us on exhibit are either too injured or have been imprinted by humans and cannot be released back into the wild to care for themselves."

Youth Center Skate Park
"This is another pre fab skate park which is a little more street oriented than the Sugarloaf Park. Looking from the main entrance left to right you’ve a double kink rail. 14” kinked down to a 8” flat bar. Next to a 8” round rail. Also a 1’ high fun box / many pad with built in C ledge. The center piece looks like its right out of love park with a ramp to picnic table. And on the very right, keeping you tranny skaters in mind, we still have 5’ quarter pipes that flow into a 4 stair pyramid ending with some pretty tech 6’ tall flat banks which provide all the speed you need to shred this small but super fun park."

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We fell in love with Big Bear Lake years ago and were very excited when we came across this property - we could not live without it. While it is centrally located - minutes to everything, it is located on a quiet street away from the hussle of the world. Our favorite time of the day is sitting on the deck watching the colors of the sunset play on the lake while listening to the ducks chatter about their day's activities. And as we sit there, we notice that our cares of the day have slipped away.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, The Village:
We fell in love with this property because of the Lake, Mountain and Marina views - looking out over the lake and surrounding mountains, it truly embraces all that nature has bestowed on this land! Plus, it has easy access to the lake in the spring, summer and fall plus easy access to the cabin after heavy snowfalls - truely 4 Seasons of Fun!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
It is centrally located so we can get to all the fun stuff within minutes - either walking or driving - either lake and mountain fun or snow fun - 4 Seasons of Fun! The big plus is being able to enjoy the sounds of the lake early in the morning and at sunset - listening to the ducks chatter about their day's plans while watching the sunrise over the mountains or their day's activities while watching the sunset over the lake is the best.
