It is SNOWING and Big Bear Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Snow Making Machines are Blowing!!! Bear Mountain and Snow Summit opened 2011/2012 Season Nov 10!!! And our Big Bear Rental Cabin is just 10 minutes from the ski slopes!
Surrounded by tall pines, 4 Seasons of Fun Big Bear Cabin is located across the street from Big Bear Lake, 400 feet from Big Bear Marina, a short walk to Big Bear Village, 10 min drive to Snow Summit & Bear Mountain, and is centrally located to all that Big Bear Lake has to offer. This home is on one level with open Kitchen-Dining-Great Room; all with wonderful lake and mountain views. You are always aware that you are at the lake in the mountains!
The Great Room features wood beams across the vaulted pine-knot ceiling and a large, comfy sectional sofa in front of the wood burning fireplace - maybe roast marshmallows tonight? This room also includes the 32" cable TV and DVD player, high speed internet, fun board games and jig-saw puzzles.
The Kitchen offers new appliances: dishwasher, range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and blender and is also fully stocked with new cookware, utensils, and dishes to make your stay feel like a home away from home – perfect for cook-outs and large family dinners!
Through the Kitchen Door, on the side deck, your catch of the day or favorite food sizzles on the grill while you enjoy the lake, mountains and tall pines – there is nothing like the fresh smell of pine trees and listening to the breeze through the pines. The side deck leads to the spacious back yard that invites lots of fun play including sledding and building snow-people when nature brings in her snow.
After a full day of fun, the spa sits on the covered deck with lake and mountain views ready to bubble your aches from the day away. Or, relax on the adirondack chairs and watch the colors of the sunset at play on the lake while the ducks chatter about their day’s activities. Life, as you had known it only minutes earlier, looks quite spectacularly different. In the Great Room enjoy the roaring fire in the fireplace to roast marshmallows then before retiring to bed, turn the electric blankets to preheat making your bed cozy and ready to take you to your sugar plum dreams.
4 Seasons of Fun is centrally located, convenient to all that Big Bear Lake offers while located on a quiet street, providing a relaxing, get-away atmosphere.
LOCATION
Central Big Bear Lake: Our cabin is located across the street from Big Bear Lake, 400 feet from Big Bear Marina, with views of the mountains and the lake. It is 400 feet to lake access for the public and Big Bear Marina with dock rental options; .25 mile (1 min) to BB Village & Pine Knot Marina; .74 miles (2 min drive) to Alpine Slide; 1 mile (3 min drive) to Meadow Park Swim Beach, 2 miles (5 min drive) to Snow Summit Ski Resort; and 4 miles (10 min drive) to Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Golf Course & the Moonridge Animal Park - check out the map for the visual location.
FUN STUFF CLOSE TO THE CABIN
Big Bear Marina is about 1/2 block away (400 feet). The Marina offers lake tours and rents out kayaks, jet skis, boats, etc. Public Lake access is available right next to this marina where I've taken my grandson fishing and he caught a big one!
About a 10 min walk away is Pine Knot Marina with a paddle boat tour, para-sailing and, of course, rents jet skis and boats. Guests have remarked about the fun they have enjoyed here.
The Bowling Barn is a couple of blocks away with Large Screen Sports TV, Pool Tables, Arcade Games and, of course, Bowling. Glow Bowling is especially fun that kicks off at 8:30p (M-F) and 7:30p (S-S).
The Village is a couple of blocks away (my 85 yr old mom walks it in 15 min) and is always a fun place to hang out with its arcades, shops, restaurants and ice cream & candy store. The Village also offers 2 movie theaters with a total of 5 screens always showing first rate movies.
Alpine Slide is ~ 1 mile away (2 min drive). In the summer, it is a very popular place to stay cool in its water slide and also has gocarts, minature golf and the bobsled. In the winter, the crazy fun is to slide down the snow covered hill in truck size inner tubes and also enjoy the bobsleds.
A little further away - maybe a 5 min drive is Meadow Park - popular for its swim beach, tennis courts, and volleyball sand court.
About a 5 min drive is the Summit Sky Chair that takes you from 7000 base to 8200 feet in the summer. They have the summer trails set up for the mountain biking or explore the hiking trails or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Of course, in the winter it is a skier's and snow boarder's paradise.
The Discovery Center, run by the Forest Service, provides hiking permits and offers, for a low cost, kayaking and canoe tours, and craft classes for kids; for free, forest classes. It is located across the lake on north shore.
Moonridge Animal Park about a 10 min drive is home to artic animals no longer able to live in the wild. Mama Grizzly and her 2 children were relocated from Yellowstone after they received 3 strikes for stealing easy access food are an example of the interesting animals in this park located across the street from Bear Mountain.
Guests have shared their horseback riding fun at Baldwin Stables about a 20 min drive from the cabin. They thought it was the best.
Check out our map link to see our central location to all that is fun in Big Bear.

Owner's Map of Private Homes, The Village
We fell in love with Big Bear Lake years ago and were very excited when we came across this property - we could not live without it. While it is centrally located - minutes to everything, it is located on a quiet street away from the hussle of the world.
Our favorite time of the day is sitting on the deck watching the colors of the sunset play on the lake while listening to the ducks chatter about their day's activities. And as we sit there, we notice that our cares of the day have slipped away.

This retreat home has all the ammenities you can think of. Very well maintained, quiet location, lake view, spacious family room with fireplace, and a good size master bedroom. The hot tub is an added bonus to this mountain retreat. The retreat location provides easy walking access to shops, dining, bowling, marina, and shore fishing. I will definitely return for many stays in the future! A high recommendation has already been passed along to my family and friends.
Owner response:Thank you for your compliments and welook forward to your return. We also enjoyed your comments in our cabin Guest Book. It is really great that after annual fishing visits to Big Bear Lake these last 12 years that you were able to catch your first fish. Absolutely awesome!!!

We just got back from a week at 4 Seasons of Fun and we couldn't be happier with our experience! The cabin is set up so wonderfully, you'll never want to leave! It has all the amenities you need plus lots of extras that make your stay that much more enjoyable. We spent hours reading on the porch and looking at the gorgeous lake view, or relaxing in the jacuzzi, or watching a dvd on the super comfy couch! Plus, the location of the cabin couldn't be better. It's about a 2 minute walk to the marina and a 5 minute walk to the village. You have total access to restaurants, bars, shops, movie theaters and the bowling alley without ever getting in your car. We're already planning our next trip to Big Bear and we'll definitely be staying in this cabin again!

This will go in my "do it again" file......everything was as represented in the listing, photos, location amenities. I brought way too much stuff, they have everything you could need. I had my 15 month old granddaughter with me and she loved it. We walked everywhere, town, the lake/marina the location was perfect. I loved the view, when I could wake before my granddaughter I would enjoy the sunrise over the lake......makes you want to stay forever.

Cabin location very close to Big Bear Village for shopping, dining, and live entertainment! Big Bear Marina, movie theater, and bowling are within walking distance! Cabin furnishings and decor make for a very cozy, and comfortable stay. The patio deck rocking chairs and love seat swing are perfect for relaxing the day away and watching the sunset. Great deck views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The kitchen has all first rate appliances and an abundant of cooking utensils. The jacuzzi just off the master bedroom and on the patio deck, seats 6 people comfortably. The beautiful fireplace and large flat panel TV in the great room provide a wonderful gathering place with family and friends. For your dining pleasure, we recommend Peppercorns and Boo Bears restaurants. Holloways Marina has some of the best boat rentals prices! The cabin is certainly well-stocked, and has all the amenities you will need. The quiet location makes this cabin the perfect choice for that get-away feel from the flatlands. Had a marvelous time at this cabin......highly recommended!!!

Had a great stay. Cabin was well taken care of and had everything I needed for an extended stay. Really enjoyed the deck which looked across the lake and was a great place to sit and relax after a long stressful day and unwind. Wonderful friendly neighbors. Such a convenient location. Walking distance to the village and just a short drive to grocery stores, etc. Very peaceful location and wonderful house. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great week or weekend getaway.

Dear Sharon, We had a wonderful weekend break at your cottage. The great room was particularly popular with my friends and family to lounge and watch the boats go by, or play with cards or one of the board games that you thoughtful kept for guests. The location was great - steps from the lake across the street, 2 mins to the marina ( we liked Pine Knot which is a 5min walk). And 5 min walk to the village. We loved the reccomendations for things to do. Horseback riding was fun, as was fishing and kayaking. Will visit again as soon as I get 6-8 people together. I find it amazing how within 1 and 1/2 hour drive we can find such beauty and tranquility. Cheers, Anand
