Welcome!...to our spacious, 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch-style vacation home located on the barrier island, flanked by the ocean at one end of the street (to the east) and the intra-coastal waterway (Halifax River) at the other end (to the west)….a short walk in either direction!
Upon entering through the front door into the foyer, the formal dining room with seating for 6-8, is to the right. The “pure Florida” rattan furnishings of the family room-living room-breakfast table area are straight ahead overlooked by the 42” flat panel TV, easily viewed from every angle of this wide expanse. A pass through counter with (two) stools separates the large, fully-equipped, kitchen from the breakfast table. From small appliances, to serving accessories, to kitchen gadgets…the kitchen lacks nothing!
A full-length, hallway, shelved storage closet, housing beach toys and towels, among other necessities, leads to the Master Bedroom, which boasts a queen size bed, 36” TV, walk-in closet and private bathroom with walk-in shower.
The split plan style home puts the two additional bedrooms, including hallway and full bath, on the other side of the living area, separated by a pocket-door for privacy. The “front” bedroom with “beachy décor” is furnished with a daybed, which may be used as two twin beds (perfect for children!) or a king size bed (perfect for couples). Appropriate mattress covers, linens and blankets are available for either configuration. A full size bed and comfy “reading” chair with overhead lamp adorns the “back” bedroom. Both bedrooms include TVs, large closets, full length mirrors and lots of hooks – great for vacation wardrobe “quick changes.”
The “Florida Room” or sunroom right off the living room is comfortably furnished with a full size couch, two chairs and ottomans and a small TV, and leads to the backyard deck. With plenty of seating for all, the deck includes dining table and chairs, cushioned storage bench, hardwood chaise w/cushion, and “coffee table” with (4) Adirondack chairs…perfect for pre-dinner drinks and/or after-dinner coffee and dessert! The outdoor living area, which is also accessed by sliders behind the breakfast table, is complete with gas (barbecue) grill and chimney…perfect for chilly evenings!
An enclosed, full size laundry room (washer, dryer and utility sink) is accessed through the master bedroom bath or the two-car garage.

Year Purchased: 2006
High Scool sweethearts, born and raised on L.I., N.Y., we migrated to the west /Gulf coast of Florida where we raised our 2 children. After almost 17 years, missing the Ocean we purchased our vacation home in Ormond by the Sea. Three years later, we migrated back to L.I. where the population swelled. An unexpected employment opportunity arose in beautiful Bucks county Pennsylvania where we now reside. Fortunately, we have retained our access to the beloved Atlantic ocean with our beautiful 'beach house' in Ormond by the Sea.
Why the Owner Chose Ormond By The Sea
You couldn't ask for a better location in Florida, is how we see it. The central ocean coastal climate is the finest that the state has to offer, warm enough through the winter months while the cool ocean breezes through the summer months, cool it down enough to keep it comfortable. The proximity to so many of the things that bring people to Florida is another reason we chose this part of state to settle in for a vacation home. The beaches of Ormond are mostly clear and unobstructed by hotels and houses. Just a walk down the street and your on the beach to walk-shell-surf-fish-play or just relax. At home, we're close enough to hear the surf through the open windows throughout the night. Friendly people in a quiet neighborhood make things comfortable. Whether you want to play golf, fish for trophys, Bike around the neighborhood to have a picnic on the intra-coastal waterway parks, hiking/camping/boating and fishing in the beautiful Tomoka State park just a few miles away, visit the endless theme parks of Orlando, explore the wealth of history in beautiful St. Augustine, travel south to the "Treasure Coast" beaches to search for gold and silver on the shoreline, explore all that a Jacksonville has to offer...you're never bored while staying in Ormond by the Sea....so much to do and see close by.
