The home in Bay St Louis, MS is approximately 50 miles east of New Orleans, LA and 25 miles west of the Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport. Old Lazy River Road is a dead end with water on both sides. It ends at the bayou that connects to the Jordan River. The river flows into the Bay of Bay St Louis. The neighboring city to the east of the bay is Pass Christian. The bay is off the Mississippi Sound which has barrier Islands between it and the Gulf of Mexico. The area has good fishing for bass, red fish, speckled trout, shrimp, blue crab, etc. I have seen big tarpon in the lakes off the river about 2 miles (by water) north of the house off the Jordan River, just south of I10. These lakes are great for water sking.
The home is about 4 miles south of I-10 and 4 miles north of the beaches on the sound and the Gulf of Mexico. The golf course at the Hollywood Casino is within 4 miles of Old Lazy River Rd. It is the Bridges Golf Course. It is an Arnold Palmer designed course. A very challenging golf course.
Shopping at Wal-mart and K-mart as well as antique shopping is within 2 miles. Many good restaurants are in the area.

My wife and I like the water. We purchased the home to have a place to go boating, and to moor our 34' sailboat which is docked next door to the house. There is a private dock at the home itself with a 14' row boat available. Bring your own boat or jet ski and have fun!
Why the Owner Chose Bay St. Louis
This area is tranquil and still close to amenities. The home is on a canal which is good shelter for a boat in case of a storm. This dock can accommodate vessels up to 50' with a draft of up to 7' and has access to the Gulf of Mexico with height restrictions under 1 fixed bridge of 55' in height. This is suitable for sailboats, even at extreme low tide there is plenty of water depth. The back porch has views for miles over an ajacent ranch (green space).

We enjoy the peace and quite of the neighborhood. Its relative seclusion yet close proximity to shopping, dinning and marine environment. The New Orleans Aquairium of the Americas, its shoping, Jaz and night life just an hour drive away. The Water park in Gulfport 20 minutes to the east. The Wolf River Canoe Adventures also within 15 minute drive. And downtown Bay St Louis has Antique Shops, Art dealers, dinning and quaint small town feel-good environment.
