  Wonderful location, beautiful, quaint home. We had a girls' weekend at the cottage and couldn't have found a better place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The location was awesome. We will definitely store this place away as a future destination. The whole process of renting, paying and having our refund restored was so easy.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Bass Rocks Carriage House upper apartment. A lovely, spacious, picturesque and comfortable apartment. Even though it was March, it was great to be able to see the ocean from the living room and loft, as well as the observation deck. And it was only a short walk to Second Beach - nothing like watching the sun come up from the beach with a cup of coffee in hand. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and well furnished, including coffee pot & coffee & tea, towels, TVs, comfortable beds. The full kitchen allows cooking as desired. It has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation with a group of friends and family, big or small. O

  Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Five adults had plenty of room. One bathroom, but we made it work. Very clean home with all the amenities you need. Beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs were available (though too cold for us this trip). Water and welcome snacks were a great touch! We loved the fresh flowers, too. We had too many people drying hair and ironing clothes at the same time and blew a breaker. The owner was very quick to respond to our request to have that corrected. Overall - highly recommend.

  This was our second stay at this property and were as happy as the first time we enjoyed this cottage. The space is always clean and well maintained. It has such a warm and welcoming feel that we never want to leave! I would highly recommend this property; we planned to enjoy it for years to come!

  The cottage is clean, well care for and the owner Trish is very nice. You will find everything that you need to go to the beach ( Chairs and towels). The beach is beautiful, soft sand and nice waves, a great place for families with kids. You have a five minutes walk to the beach from de cottage and a 5 minutes by car to downtown Newport. You will need to drive 5 to 10 minutes to go to the grocey but you have a 2 minutes drive to go to the convenient store. Every thing is pretty near. You will find nice shops and boutiques in Newport a very nice environment. The city have alot of charm. The only thing is that their is no AC in the cottage and it is very hot on the second floor. This summer in August was very hot and humid and we had difficulties to sleep. I will suggest the owner to consider AC in the cottage. Also their is no phone so bring your cell just in case. Nice ktichen but if you cook alot you won't find what you need, as thier is the minimun to prepare your meal. Thank you Trish for a good time

  Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The cottage is cozy,comfortable, and clean and we really appreciated that beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, and boogie boards were available to use, which we did. The walk to the beautiful "second beach" is just minutes away and great for swimming & relaxing. There are delicious local restaurants just a few minutes drive away in Middletown, & I highly recommend eating at Flo's Clam Shack. There is a walking path close by, where there are great views of the ocean from a rock cliff and where a chasm has formed, which is worth checking out & is great place to take photos. Newport is also a short five minutes drive away, which is very convenient. Brenton Point State Park is a great spot to fly kites. If you are looking for a relaxing place, where you can enjoy the quiet, the beach, and enjoy outdoor activities such as walking and hiking, without any large crowds or crazy traffic, this is the place to go!

  The Bass Rocks Cottage is an adorable, comfortable, clean place to stay. My friends and I were looking for a cozy weekend getaway rental, close to the beach and this was perfect. The cottage had everything we needed. It was immaculate! We were just about a block away from the beach, which was perfect for a walk with or without beach gear. We were just minutes away (by car) from anything that we needed, including downtown Newport.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway.

  A great home convenient to the beaches, Cliff Walk and Newport activities and a wonderful hosting location for a girls weekend getaway. The home description was accurate, owners very accommodating and we enjoyed a restful weekend!

  This house was excellent for 6 people, with 2 queens and two singles. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, the house was clean, and Trish was very helpful! Would definitely recommend a car but we managed fine without one, ordering a minivan cab when we needed to get downtown (which was cheap, split amongst 6 people). The only downside was the one bathroom, which got a little busy with 6 people in the house, but with a little patience, it was only a minor inconvenience. Would definitely want to stay here again!

  An absolutely perfect getaway cottage!! A quite part of Middletown with easy access to all Newport has to offer. The cottage was very clean and ready for our arrival, and offered plenty of room for the 5 of us to stay. The kitchen is fantastic and well equipped, providing an excellent alternative of cooking and eating-in. The owners were helpful and addressed all our questions prior to arrival. The cottage has a very home-like feel, which is such a treat at the end of a busy day!! A highly recommended stay!!!
