Thank you for the couple of days in Harpswell - the cottage and its location are amazing. We were grinning wider and wider the further out on the peninsula we drove, until we reached Bayberry Ledge and had a nice Eureka moment. We had started off the day with a sunrise from Cadillac Mtn, and we finished it off with a welcome hug from Margaret and a beautiful sunset at the cottage. The cottage itself has everything you need and it feels well-loved. We loved our first visit to Maine, and we'll be back for more. Your cottage is a very special place, and we definitely plan to stay there again. Thanks, Wes & Sabrina

My husband and I had the most glorious 3 days at Bayberry Ledge. We just loved the area and this adorable cottage. We would get up early and explore the rocky beach, I actually saw a bald headed eagle land on the rocks at Potters Point just a 2 minute walk away. We loved the charm of the house and the location is just spectacular for relaxing and enjoying the lobster boats, the amazing sunsets and the changing tides. My husband and I took a chartered sailboat on the Tevake from Bailey Island which was just wonderful. Another great spot for dining is the Dolphin Marina Restaurant just across the harbour from the cottage. The cottage owner Margaret couldn't have been more gracious. We look forward to returning again next year.

The Quaint Guest Cottage

The cottage is a charmer and the owner, Margaret, is a most gracious host. As soon as we stepped foot out of our car we were greeted with a grandmotherly hug welcoming us to Maine. In addition to giving great hugs she also has extensive knowledge of the area, its history, as well as its points of interest. She took interest in our children's enjoyment each day we saw her and now they look forward to next Summer when we shall see Margaret again. It was a most memorable vacation. The environment is not one where you should let your children run free as there are many rocky obstacles on the shore, but if you keep a close watch of them they will enjoy this coast abound with living and non-living treasures.

Fun time at Bayberry Ledge on Potts Point, Harpswell, ME

Imagine a week on the coast of Maine without a single day of sunshine, most days overcast and/or showery. And then imagine saying, "We had such an amazing time". Staying at Bayberry Ledge on Potts Point Road was delightful. Our hostesses, Margaret and Beth, couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. We especially enjoyed the colorful stories told by Margaret, of her family's history in the house since 1927. The location was ideal and the accommodations neat, warm and cozy with the help of the gas fireplace. We know there are spectacular sunsets; we saw the pictures!!!! We'll catch those next year when we return to Bayberry Ledge!

South Harpswell cottage

We stayed in this wonderful cottage in fall 2010 for 4 days. We were a bit concerned that it might be too far out of the way but it turned out to be in a perfect location at the very end of the road. Of all of the vrbo places we have stayed over the past 12 years this is definitely one of our very favorites. It was cozy and the view of the lobster fishermen from the living room picture window was an unexpected gift.

This property was absolutely perfect. The description and photos accurately reflect the property's appearance and amenities. It is a charming cottage and a spectacular setting. We enjoyed the sunsets, changing tides and exploring the Pott's Point beach. The owner was most welcoming and had lots of good information to share. We so enjoyed the week that we have already booked for next year. We like Harpswell and Brunswick and are so pleased that we have found a great place to rent. It is a beautiful spot.

Heaven On Earth

The guest cottage is quaint and felt like home it is just as the pictures show. I was greeted by the owner who treated me like I was part of the family.The views and sunsets were breathtaking. If you want to relax this is the place to do it. I would come here again and reccomend it to my friends and family. It was paradise like being in another world.

Picturesque Maine Summer Cottage

My husband and I adored our time in Maine, and our accommodations were charming! We hope to make a return visit. We appreciated all the special touches in the apartment, and most of all, it was impeccably clean. Cleanliness is very important to us, and we weren't disappointed! The location on the coast was secluded and away from the hubbub of tourists, but close enough to drive to those places if you desire. We started our mornings with long cups of coffee sitting outside watching the lobster fishermen assessing their catch for the day. The birds were always entertaining: gulls, ducks, herons were among some of the water fowl providing entertainment during our stay.We enjoyed watching sunsets from the newly built patio area provided by a new seawall, and quiet walks along the shore looking for treasures. We enjoyed longer walks that led us to a very nice lunch at a local lobster house. We were greeted warmly and felt so wanted and welcome at our special summer vacation cottage, but we could be as private as we desired. We hated to leave and look forward to another visit!

My husband and I are from Nashville and have never been to Maine. We were looking for a quiet and private weekend in a beautiful relaxing place. We took a chance on renting this cottage in Harpswell and WOW were we impressed. The cottage is so much more wonderful in person. It is full of character and history. Much to our surprise we discovered a little private trail next to the house that led us to a private beach. The description also doesn't mention the lobster dock located within walking distance of the cottage. My husband walked down the beach with a bucket and came back with 3 huge lobsters! Needless to say we were absolutely blown away. Margaret was wonderful. She was always there when we needed her and also was very respectful of our privacy. We will definitely be going back and staying longer the next visit.

This cottage was one of the loveliest spots we have ever visited! Our host greeted us so warmly after our drive on the beautiful but unfamiliar Maine back roads from the airport...we felt like we had arrived home!And then we awoke to the water lapping just a few feet away from the cottage...it was too gorgeous for words. This was the highlight of our trip to Maine. Thank you!

We have stayed in this guest cottage twice. The unit is well maintained and the views spectacular. For cool Maine mornings there is a propane fireplace which keeps the house warm. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
