Originally built in 1944 as a weekend getaway for the rich & famous from L.A. We have completely remodeled the house bringing it up to today's modern standard of comfort while retaining it's nostalgic charm. A professional interior designer gathered furnishings and decor to compliment the home.
When you enter the front door you are greeted with warm cherry wood flooring and pale yellow plaster walls throughout. The brick faced fireplace and sconce lit mantel in the living room is flanked by built-in book cases comfortable sleeper sofa and easy chair plus antique furnishings. The bedroom has spacious closets and roomy antique dresser. The iron frame Queen size bed is fitted with high thread count cotton linens and star quilt comforter and shams.
The bathroom features a porcelain enameled cast iron tub with a shower and subway tile, hexagon tile floors and pedestal sink. There is a medicine cabinet, shelving and hallway linen closet for storage. The large eat-in kitchen boasts a breakfast nook for indoor dining, stacked washer/dryer, extra large refrigerator/freezer, garbage disposal, microwave and gas Gaffer & Satler stove.
The outdoor front patio is a perfect place to dine alfesco with patio table and chairs, bistro set and large gas and charcoal BBQ. The private enclosed single car garage is a bonus for parking.

We are a Newport Beach family and this is our very special beach house. It is one of the few remaining original beach houses built as weekend and summer getaways for the wealthy families from the L.A. area in the 1940's. We have completely remodeled it to bring it up to today's standard of modern comfort while retaining it's original charm.
Why the Owner Chose Balboa Peninsula
The Balboa Peninsula is where you want to be to experience the "real" Newport Beach. Everything is there...the surf, the sand, the bay, restaurants, shopping, entertainment all within walking distance. Our house is in the center of it all. 30 minute drive to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Laguna Beach and more O.C. musts.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You can walk to the grocery store, drycleaner, bank, bicycle shop/rental, fast food and fine dining. The private enclosed garage is a huge advantage to park your vehicle. Trying to find a parking space on the Peninsula during Summer & Holidays is difficult. The extra large patio is perfect for private entertaining.
