Surprised - watch out....lots of $75 fees....bring your own hand towels!!

Beware! Our family has been vacationing up and down 30A for over 15 years. We love trying out new places and discovering new things about 30A. As a renter we view our relationship with the owner as a partnership. We respect their home and they respect our business. This has worked for us over and over for the last 15 yrs. Until we stayed here! We have never stayed in a condo/home that had so many rules. $75 fee for using a towel to clean your face (make-up stain?). I'm over 40 and have never had a problem getting make-up out of a towel. If you're going to have this rule than have more than 2 hand towels in the master bath! No moving furniture - $75 fee. Every 30 minutes you are late at check-out $75 fee. Move all towels and remove bed linens at check-out! Never have we been asked to remove bed linens...oh and if you have time wash them!! We have already paid a cleaning fee and they have had all the money for over a month! Security guard yelling (not asking politely) at me for sitting on the patio watching my older children swim 10 feet away...said I had to be inside the gate. I could go on and on! My husband said that I didn't seem relaxed...my reply was we have never been treated like children before when staying here on 30A. I understand that the owners want their place kept nice but respect your renter that they will honor that like everyone else does who owns along 30A. As I mentioned, this is a partnership. If you can't honor the partnership then don't rent your place. The development across the street with hundreds of houses uses the walkway that butts up next to the condo. Hundreds of people walking past the condo all day long!! Very busy!! Beach was extremely crowded! Unit does not include beach chairs and set-up. That is an extra $200 for the week. Description above states that you can watch the sunset. No you cannot, unless you walk to the beach. The building to the right completely blocks the sunset.

Owner response:We are very disappointed that this guest felt compelled to write such a critical review -- especially since we received no complaints from her while she was vacationing in our condo. She received a $225 discount off of our regular rates when she made her initial reservation. Most of our guests prefer rate discounts over “beach services”. This guest was not charged any extra fees following her stay even though the guests who arrived immediately following reported several damaged or missing items. Most guests understand the need for established rules and regulations because not all guests take care of our condo in the same manner. It does not seem fair for a guest to be critical of things that are beyond our control, i.e., the number of people on the beach, the number of people who walk by the condo or the behavior of the security guard. We apologize if he or she was rude in any way but they have rules and regulations in place for the safety of all guests in the complex. We know this guest will be more satisfied with accommodations at another location in the future -- certainly not at our condo.

Lovely beach front condo

This was a very nicely decorated condo, which we would definitely rent again. The property was clean and the rental process was easy. I am going include the following as things others should consider 1. They have one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. You have to purchase your own in order to have enough for the length of your stay. 2. There is no sound system or ipod docking station to play music. 3. The condo is ocean front but is located behind the pool. It would be very loud in the summer with a lot of kids. Also, you can see the ocean but not the beach from this condo because the pool blocks the view of the beach. 4. Finally, they do not allow you to use their towels/washcloths to remove make up. Seems unreasonable. They will charge a $75 fee if your makeup stains a washcloth or towel. Bring makeup pad removers.

Owner response:We strive to provide a pleasant experience for all of our guests. We are proud that we have never had one complaint from any guest in over two years of rentals. Our "traveler’s reviews" attest to that fact. When a guest rents our condo he/she must agree to our terms and conditions which clearly state that we only provide "starter" items like toilet tissue, paper towels, etc. and that guests must provide their own items. We supply fine quality linen but we cannot provide towels/wash cloths for guests to "clean makeup especially mascara" from their skin. These type stains cannot be removed and they result in costly linen replacement. Our condo is on the first floor of the building with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. The villa is built on a bluff overlooking the Gulf as we state in our VRBO listing! It is never our intention to mislead anyone and we apologize if a guest feels otherwise.

This was our second Thanksgiving at this beautiful condo. It is a fantasic location! The ground floor makes it so easy. Bring your stuff through the front door, lock it and then you will probably only use the back door. The pictures are exactly what you get. The property is beautiful and very clean. Only suggestion is adding plastic things in the kitchen for the kids and adults to use at the beach and pool. Hoping to go back soon.

A month in paradise!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to stay at your beautiful condo for a month! We were expecting a beautiful place from the photos, but they did not do justice to the condo. It was so very lovely! The convenience to the pool and beach was perfect! We rode our bikes every morning and always stopped at Seacrest Sundries for a hot cup of coffee and breakfast. We were so spoiled! Be sure to visit Eden's Gardens, a short 10 minute drive on 98. It was beautiful. We are hoping to return next year and maybe stay 2 months!! Counting the days......

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful beach condo! This was our second year to stay there & we loved it just as much as we did last year! The location is PERFECT! The kids loved having the pool so close to the condo & the adults loved having the porch so close to the beach so we didn't have to drag all our beach gear down the walkway!! The condo decor is absolutely fabulous & it feels so cozy after a long day in the sun! We can't wait until we are back again next year! Love this place -- wish we were still there!!

Memorial Day Vacation 2011

My family and I had a wonderful time. We found the condo to be very clean and spacious with the location being perfect for my young children. Being right on the pool and just a few steps to the beach it just does not get any easier to relax. We cannot wait to visit again soon, this will definitley be our first choice!!

Fabulous Condo, Convenient to Beach & Pool

Online pictures and words do not do justice to this condo. It is fabulous. Everything from decor to luxury bedding make this condo my favorite. Especially nice was the proximity to the pool and beach. With two children, we made many trips between the pool and beach and it was not inconvenient at all to make the transition. We have been vacationing in this area for over 30 years, and have stayed in various places; however, none have exceeded expectations like this one! We definitely will return!

Relaxing Vacation in the Perfect Location...Ready for next year already!

What an amazing vacation! I'm still wishing I was there, as it was so hard to leave. This condo is beautifully furnished and incredibly spacious. We came with six adults and a few little ones, and had plenty of space. It's also so close to the beach, the boardwalk is literally just a few steps away. Everything was so comfortable and enjoyable, the pictures don't even do it justice in saying how large it is. This kitchen is perfect for cooking, and we loved having a huge dining table where everyone could sit and eat dinner together. Rosemary and Alys Beach shops are just a walk away, and Seaside is a short drive down 30A. Would recommend the Donut Truck in Alys Beach...get there early. So much fun, would recommend this condo to anyone. Can't wait for next year!

Best Vacation in Years

Our family spent 5 nights at Sunset Beach and had a great time. The condo was very spacious and had everything you would want to just move in and relax. The photos are accurate but truthfully they do not do the condo justice for how large and well appointed it truly is. GREAT access to the beach. Literally 30 paces and you are at the edge of the beach. Perfect. This Condo is beachside. Ground floor was actually a benefit because of how accessible and easy it was to go back and forth. Great for families. Can walk or bike to all the restaurants at Seacrest and on Rosemary Beach. I work for a hotel company and have taken many vacations but we are hooked on the location moving forward. Nice enough location to consider ownership for our family to enjoy for many years. The owner and agent we worked with were gracious and accomdating. Very accessible prior to our departure and touched base with us while we were there to make sure everything was in order. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Having been all over the various beaches of Florida and communities along the panhandle we've found a place we will return to for many years. No regrets, just sorry we had to return to "normal life".

I can't say enough wonderful things about this spectacular place. It is a large 3 bedroom condo, right on the gulf and pool pool is right outside the patio door. It is professionally decorated (or appears to be), the beds are luxurious and comfortable, and the location is just perfect. It is a short walk to Rosemary Beach shops and restaurants. The convenience of being right off the pool is great and it is absolutely sound proof...you don't hear a thing outside! It is by far the nicest place we've stayed in the 30 A Beach community and we have been coming for years! Hope to stay again next year (or sooner!)

A Special 4th of July

What a great "home" away from home! This is a first class condo. It was extremely comfortable -great beds (some of the best I have we have slept in), great couch and chairs in the living room with a nice sized flat screen TV with HD channels, and super kitchen to cook in. The location was very good, honestly would have like to have been up a floor level, but the reality was the ground floor made it very convenient to travel to the beach and the pool. Every morning I woke up make the 30 second walk to the edge of the board walk with a cup of coffee to view sunrise at the beach. This is truly a first class condo. The description and photos was accurate, the property was extremely clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend this property.
