The Kona Bliss home is recently remodeled with the finest cabinets, granite countertops, new furniture, appliances and flat screen TVs. The house is two stories with both private suites on the second floor with a second floor lanai. The main floor has a stunning oceanfront lanai. The home sits on a promontory with 230 degree view with no obstructions. It is about a two block walk to the "White Sand Beach". You will see Spinner dolphins and Humpback Whales during the winter months.The main floor has a dining area for 6, living room with two sofas and entertainment center, Kitchen, and private den area with twin beds. Living area is 2,000 sf. The private community has 12 free standing Tahitian style homes with a shared pool and Hot tub

Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you want waves to lull you to sleep and wake you up, this is the place! We came from another rental and appreciated the luxury of the accomodations. Immaculate when we arrived, welcomed with fruit/Kona coffee gifts from Kona Coast Vacations. Wonderful master suite, good second suite, beds downstairs very usable and larger than pictured, though, as expected, not that private. Includes a printer for boarding passes! Kitchen quite useable and well supplied. Wonderful value compared to renting 2-3 rooms at a hotel! Convenient to most activities and not in the crazy busy section of the area. Nearby public beaches good; closest is more like 3 blocks, but not that far, another less than a mile with gentler waves and easier snorkeling. 30' to coffee plantations and 35' to Honaunau Bay (Two Step-wonderful pulic snorkeling, but busy at times.) Local shopping center for food, etc. about 2 miles away. Quiet. Average sized very clean pool good for kids and those less adventuresome. Property well maintained. Our stay at Kona Bliss was more than we could have hoped for. The home itself was lovely, and the location was amazing! There was such attention to detail…everything we could need was provided for us. We were there with two of our grandchildren and found a crib and highchair in the house for us when we arrived. There were also pool floats, beach toys and beach towels for everyone. We ended up eating on the lower lanai every night instead of going out for dinner because there was no place that had a view to beat Kona Bliss sunsets. We would most certainly recommend this location to friends and family, and hope to stay here again sometime. :-)Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Kona Bliss was wonderful, as advertised. We would gladly stay here in the future and have strongly recommended it to friends. The location was perfect, right on the water, and near any and all amenities we could imagine. We were amazed everyday watching whales, dolphins and humans on paddle boards right from our balcony. The house was beautifully decorated and yet easy to feel comfortable in. Mary Lou, the property manager, was very professional and helpful. All and all, a beautiful and great place to stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We were fortunate enough to spend a family Thanksgiving at Kona Bliss. This was a first visit for 5 of the 6 of us, and now it will be tough to find any place else that will meet those expectations. The house is lovely, appointed very nicely, nothing you could want or need. The Property Manager was very accomodating and added nice touches for make our visit even more enjoyable. We loved the endless hours of visiting on the lanai and watching for dolphins, and enjoying the beautiful weather. The week went by way to fast and it was difficult to get us out of there. We will certainly consider another trip to Kona and hope for Kona Bliss again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

This was the first time I have used VRBO and our first time to Hawaii. The professional manner, in which our needs were met, made it a fantastic experience. My family is already talking about visiting Kona again and when we do, there is no doubt that we will stay at Kona Bliss again, any other property would simply be a disappointment. The house was thoughtfully prepared and lacks nothing. The privacy and the views from the lanai are the best feature of this unit!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

What an incredible experience - Kona Bliss has it all. Over the years we have stayed in other Kona Onenalo units as well as rental houses on Alii Dr. - this is by far the nicest property we have had the pleasure to spend our Kona vacation. The beautifully remodeled interior has been well maintained. From the quality furnishings and electronics to comfortable bedding, linens and fully equipped kitchen, we felt we were in a home, not just a "beach house". The property's location is second to none - 270 degrees of ocean views and privacy. Sitting on the lanai at anytime of day is breathtaking, but the sunsets were our favorite. The owners have paid full attention to detail stocking the unit with a large assortment of amenities - bikes, boogie boards, beach towels/mats, yoga pad, complimentary internet access and 3-in-1 printer - just to name a few. Whether at work or play you are set. The kitchen deserves a special acknowledgement as one of our party is a Michelin Star chef from Switzerland - he was in his element with the new appliances, multitude of cooking utinsels and last, but not least, the abundant island bounty. The Big Island's diversity, immaculate ocean, numerous points of interest and just about every sport/activity you can imagine has made it our favorite Hawaiian Island destination. Once again it didn't disappoint - all of our party from So. Cal. to Switzerland have left with wonderful memories and smiles. Maholo for an incredible stay and the beautiful island bouquet that welcomed us. Maholo, Mary Lou, for your attentiveness and professionalism. The home and the grounds were gorgeous! This is a 5 star home. My family and I reviewed many vacation rentals before deciding to stay at Kona Bliss, I am so thankful that we chose Kona Bliss. When we arrived the home was set up for our every need. My family and I spent a lot of time on the lanai just watching the waves. We even had the opportunity to watch a school of dolphins swimming about 30 yards from the shore. The kitchen was set up for a chef and we spent may evenings grilling fresh fish and enjoying the dinners on the lanai. The upstairs bedrooms had a great view of the ocean. The master bedroom opens up to a second level lanai and it was awesome laying in bed at night listening to the waves rolling onto the shore. The home is located very close to town and several great beaches. My family and I are already planning our next trip back to the Big Island and it will most definitely include a stay at Kona Bliss.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

Kona Bliss, exceptional rental. Private & gated. We spent three weeks with our family and friends and it was everything you would expect from a Hawaii vacation. The house was plenty large enough for 6 adults and still have privacy. Between watching the whales off the lanai, sleeping to the sounds of the surf breaking on the lava rock, to relaxing in the pool. We have no complaints. The bicycles were a nice bonus. Used them to ride down Alii Drive and take in some shops in lieu of walking. One recommendation is to take your own spotting scope or binoculars for watching the sea life off the lanai. The optics onsite were not that good. Our 2 month old grandaughter visited us for a week and the rental agent brought over a brand new crib for us to use. Excellant service. Master bedroom was perfect. Plenty space, large private bath, beautiful lanai. Second bedroom a bit small but with private bath. Very nice. The Poke Shack north of property on Alii is an great place if you like poke. Lots of variety. Mia's Italian restaurant south of town. Small and great food. Locals love it. We hope to go back next year. Loved it.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

This home was fabulous. We stayed for a week and wanted a month. Nice furnishings--not the typical rental furniture--the decor is beautiful. It was everything we expected and more. Of the twelve condos in this complex, this one was closest to the water with unobstructed views. I remember walking up to the door and thinking, wow, we got the best one! The view wrapped around the lanais, and we found ourselves spending a lot of time in the house without having to really go anywhere else for sun, privacy, and the VIEWS. Of course, we explored the restaurants and the shopping, too. We just found ourselves spending hours on the lanai reading, relaxing, and staring at the ocean -- we didn't want to leave the house! The property is gated and the complex was very well maintained. Quiet, private, nice pool and spa. We will definitely come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
