Real nice home

I stayed at the home with my two kids for a week. We loved the house. It has everything you need and everything works. The pool table is a great extra. The hot tub is a necessity after a day on the slopes. The home is only a few years old and in great shape. The location is perfect just a five minute drive to everything and three blocks from the lake.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

VRBO was recommended to me by a friend, but still I was a little weary to use the site. I relied on the reviews of the properties to help me narrow down which properties to look into. I called a couple of owners but one home and its owners really impressed me. Kathy and her husband were so courteous and were always available to answer any of my questions. I booked the home right away! Once we arrived at the home all of my friends told me what a great job I did at choosing the house. It was perfect. I went to South Lake Tahoe to celebrate my 30th birthday. There were 3 couples in our group. From the house it was literally a 7 minute cab ride to stateline. It took about 15 minutes to get to Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort-which we loved!. The home is very close to grocery stores. It is also walking distance to a winery and a coffee shop and some restaurants. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything a cook would need...we made breakfast and dinner several times and the kitchen had everything we needed! My main concern was the beds...they were so comfortable I didnt want to get out of bed! The pictures of the house on the site are great but once you actually see the house-you will be impressed even more! We are already planning our next trip! Loved this house!!! Thank you Mr. and Ms. Jabour for letting me celebrate my 30th birthday in your home. We had so much fun and we will definatly be back!

We stayed in this lovely house with relatives from England, who wanted to see beautiful Lake Tahoe. It was a total of 4 adults and 4 children (12-7 yrs). The house fit all of us very well. It is centrally located to many great beaches. We would even stay there with just the 2 of us. After the kids were in bed a glass of wine, the incredible stars and the Hot tub helped relax all of us. The only disappointment (and I mean the only) was the backyard. The house is so beautifully built and maintained. We felt that more attention should be given to the backyard. The owners have done such a wonderful job of seeing that nothing is lacking.

In response to the back yard not being landscaped, we've landscaped the front yard and have done some work on the back. As the economy improves we will continue to landscape the backyard and make it as nice as the front yard.

Light & Bright, Cozy House with Great Decor

We spent four nights in this great home, August 2010. Perfect summer Tahoe weather - mid-70's to low-80's during the day, cool and brisk at night. We hiked to the top Mt. Tallac one day, and the hot tub was a great place to relax that night! The house is in a great location to easily experience all of Tahoe: just a few flat blocks to the beach & kids playground; near stores and restaurants; a short drive to the casinos/ski slopes. Quiet street - we went for walks and lots of bike rides with the kids. Modern, light and airy living/dining room, great mountain lodge decor & well-stocked kitchen. Nicely maintained home with beautiful rock-and-plant garden in front. Would love to stay there again!

Great House!

We stayed in this great home for a weekend earlier this month (June 2010). We were up for a hockey tournament and the rink is situated no further then 5 minutes away by car. You can also walk to the beach and dog park from the house. The house was very clean and comfortable. Walking around the neighborhood was also nice as there are many friendly residents around the home. From the get go, everything went smoothly. Thanks again -we would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely lovely, beautifully maintained home with top of the line furnishings and details such as organic shampoo samples in the showers. Spotless, comfortable, and complete; rental manager immediately available by phone. We thought it was the best vacation rental we've stayed at, anywhere. Period.

We very much enjoyed our family vacation. Skiing was great and we all loved the house. The kids especially loved the pool table and the spa. It's close to everything (lake, skiing, casinos, shopping). We can strongly recommend this home as a place to spent a great vacation.

Perfect location close to the grocery store and casinos, nice big yard with a hot tub and pool table. Loved that the kitchen was open so that you could still talk to people sitting in the living room. Great house, we'll definitely consider it the next time we're in Tahoe!

This home was absolutely perfect...it was spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything you could need for a short or long stay in Tahoe. The location was also excellent...it is a minute walk from the lake, 5 minutes from Heavenly and the casinos. We found ourselves talking a short walk in the morning to grab a cup of coffee before heading out to the slopes. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is during the summer right next to the lake! We enjoyed the house so much it was hard to get us out of it...we ended up bbqing and sitting in the jacuzzi at night! Thanks for such a wonderful stay...I cant wait to come back.

Loved the house. It is terrific. Decorated nicely and well stocked. It is homey and comfortable. The proximity to the beach and skiing was great. I would highly recommend this place. We will be sure to return again!
