Nestled on a bluff overlooking Ninole Bay in the middle of 90 miles of pristine, undeveloped coastline, this small Polynesian style condo resort and golf course blend seamlessly into their natural tropical setting.
Best of all, Colony One offers all of the amenities you would expect of a modern resort right on the premises with beautiful gardens and pool and spa and golf and tennis courts...plenty to keep you entertained! but is also ideally located for touring the island's attractions, from Volcanoes National Park only 30 minutes drive; to Kona or Hilo, an hour away in either direction!
The great room runs the entire width of the unit, and has soaring vaulted wooden beamed ceilings, with ceiling fans in both the full sized living room and dining rooms. The full kitchen has brand new stainless steel range and over-the-range micro-hood, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, and even a washer and dryer. Of course, we also stock all the small kitchen appliances you would hope for: coffee maker and grinder; blender; rice cooker; toaster, and so on. We always strive to spoil our guests as we would wish to be, so we also stock top quality beach chairs, umbrella, mats and coolers; high thread count sheets and custom towels; and high end and comfortable furnishings.
The lanai and our local cardinal and yellow finch families will beckon you each morning for coffee and breakfast! as they are accustomed to sharing your bits of fruit or toast. You'll love to watch the sky light up at sunrise, as we are located on the windward side of the island! and the lanai is the perfect perch for viewing the incredible night sky, the clearest on planet Earth. You will lose track of meteors and falling stars each night!
When you tire of lounging by and in the pool and volcano spa and the gardens on site , or golfing or tennis here,(???), we're located perfectly for touring all of the island's attractions, as well. Either Kona or Hilo are equal distances away, and the Volcanoes National Park is a mere half hour drive.

At long last, and as many of our guests have requested, we're now thrilled to offer our third property, Turtle Hut III! This is the largest, a Polynesian bungalow with high vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings in the "Great Room". Thanks to the success and loyalty of our clientele, we were able to purchase this lovely unit for families desiring lots of space and a full kitchen with such amenities as dishwasher and washer/dryer, GREAT for long stays!

Now we've stayed in both your condos here, and each has their own uniqueness! We enjoyed them both, but we loved the ability to sit out on this lanai and watch TV! The breezes were delightful and the views of Mauna Loa were so calming! Two full days of golf, beach, pool, spa; followed by lobster and steak dinners grilled on the barbie! Doesn'[t get any bgetter than this!!

First of all, thank you for opening your home to us! and for the fruit and coffee basket., You don't even know us! but treated us like long-lost friends or family from the start! What a difference from the traffic and tacky tourist congested areas like Kona! There's so much to do here, but we didn't get to all of it because either the beach or the pool or the lanai or the couch kept calling us to stay home....you know? WE'LL BE BACK!

Its so quiet and peaceful here! The perfect place to relax and UN-wind from the pressures and stresses of life! The daily walk down to the Black Sand Beach was the perfect start to each of our days here. We think the Polyesian architecture is unusual and hardly ever seen in the islands; the grounds and gardens are overflowing with flowers and beautifully maintained, too! Please keep it as nice as it all is and we'll be back!
