Travertine flooring throughout. Bathroom features travertine flooring and tumbled marble walls around a water jetted bathtub. Oak cabinets in the fully stocked kitchenette with a granite counter top. Full couch with built in double recliners in front of a 27' tv with dvd/Dish Network.
Romantic as well as useful ambient lighting in living area. Swimming pool with gazebo. Water access for put in & boat docks available through the Sportsmen Marina (540-297-2020).

The place was beautiful! It was perfect for a cozy romantic retreat. I don't think we left the house (except for a couple hour hike) the entire weekend. No detail was left out. From the towel swans and chocolate on the bed, to the wine glasses, to the candles. I was extremely impressed with the forethought that went into all the details of the decor. I loved the tile work. Everything was clean and pristine. They provided everything we could possibly want. There was soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, foil, plastic bags, hair drier and curling irons. If I had left anything home, they certainly thought ahead and had it. The jacuzzi was delightful with room enough for two...add a couple candles and instant romance. ;) I can't say enough about this place. We would definately use it again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Don was very helpful with the reservation process. He answered all my questions quickly. The place was just as described...maybe even better. It was beautiful, comfortable and plush. The location was perfect for us, right on the water with things to do all around us. We loved the R11 Tiki Bar and the pool seemed to be "reserved" just for us. The community is quiet.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was very convenient for our mini family Reunion. The accommodations were beautiful. Everything was tastefully decorated and a great change from the typical motel room or the rental unit with its leftover furniture. The owner made sure that the unit was well supplied with all the necessities. We especially enjoyed having coffee on the balcony in the morning.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

If you're considering renting a condo at the lake you should look into this one. We (me, my husband, and our 10 month old daughter) rented for a week and loved every second of it. Every inch of the condo is newly remodeled and they did a fantastic job. The place was immaculately clean and good towels/sheets/tolietries were there waiting on us. There was also a card, flowers, and a bottle of wine waiting from Janet and Don. They even got us in contact with a pastor who came from Lynchburg to do our wedding vow renewal. Talk about going above and beyond! We could have paid more for this place and still been happy. The complex's pool was a big plus, too. There are two lakeside eateries within walking distance and lots of room to dock your boat if you own/rent one. You're four minutes from the State Park that has beach, walking trails, and more. There are several really good restaurants within five minutes by boat, some of which take you 40 minutes to get to by car. This was our first time visiting Smith Mountain Lake and we'll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
