The unit is clean and completely outfitted, plus instructions were very specific and thorough. The entry stairs and landscaping had us worried, but once inside all was great! Val - the owner - responded well via email. This is a great location to easily spend the day at the beach and the evening in the restaurants on Atlantic.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, my lawn man had been going through a very bad time in his personal life... marital problems followed depression, etc. As a result, I since learned that he had been neglecting the property. I am totally embarrassed by the fact you were taken aback by the condition of the yard at the time of your arrival. As luck would have it, I arrived here just after Thanksgiving and have been diligently working to get the yard back in shape. I truly appreciate the fact that you were able to overlook the condition of the yard and still give your overall experience as 5 stars. The apartment is truly lovely and the yard is now again in great shape.

Very impressed with -location: close to everything, indeed: beach, Atlantic Ave where all the action is, yet so quiet! -appartment: sparkling clean, had everything I would like/demand to have: from cooking ware to internet etc, good partition with pull out coach, sliding doors etc -courtesy- easy communication with Val, very dependable, quitre proactive and thoughtful abut our arrival circumstances and large family, very discreet when we actually met (wish we had more face to face time!) -available info about the area: well put together book about Delray in general and apt in particular Results: will definitely come back, thank you for your hospitality!

We have stayed here twice and will be returning a third time. It is a very nice and spacious apartment and the owner is very helpful and diligent in dealing with any issues. The apartment is clean and well maintained, and is well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, etc. The location is fantastic - it is three blocks from the beach and three blocks from Atlantic Ave. You can walk almost everyplace that you need to go. The aquatic center of the Delray Beach Yacht Club (accross the street) is a great deal if you would like to have a nice pool as an option to the beach. We love it, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a great, convenient neighborhood. It is also pet friendly.

Val, thank you for a lovely place to call home in Delray Beach. The apartment is not only ideally furnished and complete in every way (right down to big fluffy beach towels and chairs), but the location and convenience are second to none! Atlantic Avenue is steps away and the beach is under a minute! This is one of the rare VRBO's which delivers as promised in everyway! We hope to be back again soon and often. JLO

Wedding in Delray

We came to Delray for my sister's wedding. The MacFarlane Arms was the perfect place for us. It was very roomy and open but could be sectioned off for sleeping, which was perfect as friends were stopping by. Everything was clean and everything we could need was provided. We were central to everything in Delray, we walked everywhere. I would highly recomend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Delray.

Thanksgiving in Delray

As soon as we walked in we felt like we were at home, it was very comfortable and inviting. We had a wonderful family reunion in Delray and this place worked out great for the 6 of us. We were a family traveling with older adults and one child. It was one of the first times, everybody on the trip was happy with their accommodations. The location was perfect it was close enough to get to the beach and down town by foot and stroller. It was a very quiet and peaceful area. The property was very clean and very well appointed. We were even able to cook a small Thanksgiving meal there with no problems. The owner has thought of everything! One of the best features is the lay out of the apartment. It is very spacious and we all had room to spread out and not get in each others way. It is important to realize that the two bathrooms are in the individual bedrooms, you have to walk through the bedrooms to use the bathroom. This is only an issue at night if you have people sleeping in the Florida or living room. We visit family in Delray frequently and I don't think I will stay in a hotel again. I would recommend this place for couples and families. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with.
