We have owned many homes and this one is by far our favorite. It's easy to take care of. Perfect for a couple or two. Since I love to cook the kitchen is outfitted to make any type of meal. From Fried Chicken in the electric skillet, to the tiniest saucepan for caramelizing and reducing your favorite balsamic vinegar. The kitchen is complete with spices and condiments in the refrigerator. We ask only that if you use it up just buy a replacement. We want this to be an extension of what you have at home without having to bring your kitchen or spend a fortune to be in our home.
The main floor living room is host to two large leather chairs next to the fireplace. Read, watch TV or just visit with each other. Enjoy views from the front deck, the side deck or the back deck. Lounge in the sun or take a walk around the loop. On those rainy but cool days enjoy a nap on the sofa in the screened porch. Having a couple over for diner, enjoy the sun room patio or the deck, your choice. Or take your favorite after dinner drinks to the screened patio and don't worry about the evening light attracting your less than favorite insect.
Quality linens for the luxurious queen matresses. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise or sunset from any of the three decks. Cable TV for those that can't miss their favorite show, music system throughout the house.
Our home is about 4 miles outside of Blowing Rock where you can enjoy a casual day of shopping, lunch on the patio of several great restaurants. Want a day at the spa?; you can't go wrong at the Westglow Spa and Resort which is two miles from the house.
This is our home and we are opening it up to others who want to enjoy their living space in another location. While our cleaning lady is awesome it is our consistent and conscientious selves that squeegee the shower, dry the chrome, wipe the sinks and take our shoes off at the door that keep our home immaculate.

Why the Owner Chose Blowing Rock
We wanted another mountain home after selling our Big Bear, CA property. After much research the Appalachian Mountains just called our name. Blowing Rock offers shopping, entertainment, great restaurants, ease of access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and in 10 minutes more shopping in Boone. We wanted to be near a university, in the mountains, limited humidity and no harsh winters. Although it gets cold there hasn't been many days that you can't take a great walk.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the tranquility of the area and we also spend a lot of time visiting local waterfalls and local hiking.
