We stayed 4 months and loved every second of our time there. This condo is located so close to the beach, close to the market, and a very short walk to town. You absolutey can't go wrong renting this place. Security was fantastic, cleaning staff is very thorough, and the ambassador for the property is second to none...she was always a HUGE help with info or any other things that came along.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Alta Vista condos have everything you would want! Close to everything and VERY comfortable. Loved it and we will return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Together with my husband and son (Argentines) we spent 5 beautiful days at Samara. The appartment was really comfortable, with all the amenities required in perfect condition. The photos reflect accurately the place, near the beach . Walking distance (200mts). It was properly mantained and Randall, an excellent housekeeper.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Hello! My name is Patrick McGoey, I am the owner of Alta Vista Condos. I finished construction October 2008. The building consists of three condos, all are available for rent. I lived in beautiful Playa Samara for three years before and after construction. My idea behind the project was 1) to build in the best location possible: steps from the beach, ocean/beach views, and walking distance to town. 2) Invest in architecture (not common in CR) to create a modern comfortable design to give customers a 1st world lodging option located next to the jungle, and in front of the beach. 3) Establish an affordable price and hire friendly, trustworthy, dependable ticos (locals) to bring the 'pura vida' vibe and do what they do best - assist guests with that zen like patience and big smile which makes ticos special.
Why the Owner Chose Samara:
I bought the land and built the Condos in this location for one simple reason: it was where I would want to go if I were on vacation. I traveled and stayed in other beaches not only in Costa Rica but Panama, Mexico, Peru, Columbia - before choosing Playa Samara. I love it because 1) beach is white sand and breathtaking. 2) It is a friendly tico village - by which I mean the natives outnumber the foreigners. You actually experience tico culture which is less and less common along Central America's shores these days. 3) Knowing Spanish helps but isn't mandatory. 4) Great place to learn Spanish (Intercultrua School is excellent). 5) Great place to learn to surf, and more advanced surf breaks close by.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
A unique benefit of staying at my property is that you can enjoy the comforts of the 1st world while surrounded by nature; the ocean is in front of you and the jungle behind. You can flush toilet paper, there is always hot water, the tap water is treated and drinkable, the appliances are new and full size just like back home. The VIEWS are incredible! Regardless which condo or level you're on, the entire wall facing the beach is window/sliding glass door to balcony. Hard-wired or wifi high speed internet with no glitches. The pool. The secure parking. The employees - Randal the caretaker is selfless, he's there to make sure YOU have a GREAT time, as is the same with Andrea and Beatriz. The location - bike ride or walking anywhere in Samara. The MONKEYS! you can't miss them, they swing through the trees behind the building daily.
