RiverDance is a great option for lodging in Western North Carolina. We would recommend it to anyone looking at vacationing in the area. The rooms are beautiful as is the whole house. And the view is incomparable. The house itself offers a very quiet and private setting. Hosts Callie and Dave (and Midge) are experts at making guests welcome in their home. Their hospitality is second to none! There is a comfortable, welcoming feeling at RiverDance. We loved having use of the full kitchen, making it possible to prepare and serve a family dinner. You can have as much privacy or as much interaction as you desire. It is a great place to stay with kids, and the housing arrangements would make it a perfect place for a family reunion. Callie and Dave are great at offering help and suggestions as to what to do and see in the area. The only thing I regretted about our stay at RiverDance was that we couldn’t have stayed longer!

Cozy and yet spacious house, great location

We just returned from our stay at this wonderful house in the SolVista area. We had 5 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room. The beds are so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping at home. The living/dining/kitchen area is really well designed in an "open" format, but not drafty. The house is decorated in a very tasteful fashion and well stocked with wonderful teas, jams, extra towels, even a closest full of games. Everything was very clean and organized. The house has amazing views and one morning we saw a herd of elk. Solvista ski area is minutes away and one in our party went to snowboard there. The rest of us went 10 minutes away to Snow Mountain which has amazing cross country skiing and a really fun tube hill (with a tube lift). We needed the drive plowed after it snowed and the owner was very fast in responding to our needs.

We thoroghly enjoyed staying in your beautiful, spacious mountain home! The ski area is so awesome for families! Our 3 year old learned here! Your kitchen is just the most well-supplied kitchen ever! We love your pots and pans, blender and pastel bowls. It was fubn to cook here. The guys really enjoyed the TV so they could tune and cheer on their Jayhawks! Thanks for sharing all this with us.

Hi Rose & Howie, Well we have been back a week.....we left Colorado just in time.....We loved your home and I hope we took good care of it while we were there....Everyone just loved everything, ya'll definitely have one of the nicest places that we have stayed in....It was just like living at home....The families that came with us that had never skied had a blast and it snowed while we were there....We did pull all of the sheets off of the beds and put them in the laundry room...and we did a load of towels before we left...hope that was okay....Again, everyone had the greatest time and we loved your home away from home....Please accept our BIGGEST THANKS...and be on the lookout for a small thank you gift from all of us for your generosity...Thanks again, Sherry Cluck 12/06/2006

Thanks so much for sharing your great house with us. We've had such a wonderful time here, and the thing that made it even more special were all the reminders of you-- good tea, gourmet foods, etc. We've skied a ton and have thoroughly enjoyyed the beautiful spring weather, even the slush and mud! Perhaps the kids' favorite thing though has been playing in the mounds of snow around the yard. Thanks you so much!
