Year Purchased: 2007
My wife grew up on Whidbey Island with her family home located on Sunlight Beach Rd. During my career in academic medicine we had the opportunity to travel the world attending many international meetings and choice vacation destinations. Throughout our marriage we returned to Whidbey Island every summer for a family visit and vacation. It didn't take me long to realize that Sunlight Beach on Whidbey Island with its expansive tide flats, wildlife, water and mountain views was a world class vacation destination. Consequently, where we would live in retirement was an easy decision. After 19 years in Rochester, she told me when to retire; simply stating that no one should have to endure 20 Minnesota winters.
Why the Owner Chose Clinton
We purchased this rental home to live in from January 2008 to June 2009 while we built our retirement home on nearby Sunlight Beach Rd. Our beachfront home has just been completed and we are now ready to rent this magnificent view property that overlooks Sunlight Beach. Availability starts on July 1, 2009.

Our rental property allowed us to continue to enjoy all of the activities that we were accustomed to while being able to supervise and participate in the construction of our new home.
