We rented the unit during summer 2011 for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The owner was very nice, very cooperative and provided us all the details, paperwork etc. ahead of time via email. This was our first experience renting a unit (we have always stayed in hotels before) and consequently had several questions/concerns. The owner was very receptive to our several phone calls to him. The unit itself is located on the outskirts of Canmore, so is very quiet and peaceful - away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but within 5-7 minutes drive just south of Canmore. There is a quiet period from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM every night, so you really get to enjoy the wind and the sounds of birds chirping. The unit is very clean and comfortable (more than enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers), and has all the ameneties one would like to have - kitchen with microwave, full oven, dish washer, and a laundry room. There is no daily room service as such, but we noticed on arrival that cabinets in the 2 bathrooms were filled with towels. We like to travel light and so the laundry and the towels were very helpful! The unit is part of Copperstone Resort, so we got to enjoy the outdoor hot tub, and several grills just outside in an open area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it to others without any hesitation.

This is a very nice condo in Dead Man's Flats, just outside Canmore. The location was good and so was the price. The condo was clean and enjoyable and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Our group contained 3 adult males (primarily a hiking trip), we slept one on the fold out couch and one in each room. The beds we very comfortable and we heard no complaints from my 60yr old father in law, who got the fold out for the week. One thing to note is that both bathrooms are upstairs. This wasn't a big deal for us, but would have been nice to have a half bath on first floor. We could have easily slept another person in the master bedroom. We cooked several meals here and the kitchen had everything we needed. Outside there was a community area with a big grill, a high top table (that could seat many people), a fire pit and a hot tub. I wasn't sure how much we'd use the community hot tub, but I packed a suit just in case. We ended up using it several times and I actually looked forward to it after several long hikes. Wireless access (or lack thereof) was our only complaint. The website had originally advertised it, but when we arrived we had found that the owner had recently removed it due to connectivity issues. There isn’t much to do in the town of Dead Man’s Flats, but Canmore is just a short drive up the road and Banff is less than 30min away. Underground garage parking was a nice feature as well. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

This property and the owners are great! We loved being near, but not in the middle of town, listening to the wind in the trees. Canmore is a great choice, with the best of Banff in a more relaxed atmosphere. The owner made sure we enjoyed the trip and was a pleasure - the unit included underground parking, internet, lcd TV's - fully equiped and ready for a family. Thanks for the great stay!
