We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit with its own outdoor entrance and private patio last month for four nights. It was extremely large, very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed and more. The bathroom is upscale and the furnishings are even nicer than shown in the photos. The owner is extremely hospitable and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect for our family reunion as it is right next door to my son's apartment. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants including Stacks for breakfast, and a wonderful Brazilian Steak house within walking distance. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Hayes Valley.

This was our first time using vrbo so we were a little nervous because we weren't sure what to expect. Well, as soon as we walked in the door, we knew we were going to have a wonderful vacation. The home itself is beautiful, well appointed and perfect for entertaining. Having a parking space in the garage was incredibly convenient. The location is absolutely perfect. Walking distance to cute little shops, parks, and restaurants. Also, the location is perfect is you want to drive a short distance to any other location in san francisco. Thank you for a great stay! Our first vacation with the whole family (baby and dog) was memorable and thoroughly enjoyable.

We stayed in the luxurious home located in the hip Hayes Valley neighborhood for ten days. Our family of four was so suprised by the beauty and space of this home as the pictures are not really reflective of all the amenities you will find inside--it actully looks more like something you might see in Architectural Digest but it is very, very comfortable! The neighborhood is terrific and allows for walking to local eateries, shops, etc and it is in a very convenient location to pick up the main routes in the city for the things you want to see and do. We have rented several times through VRBO and this was really a treat!

My husband and I had the most unbelievable 3-month stay in the 2-bedroom flat. This property is even better than its description and the accompanying pictures. And the owners are gems -- warm, welcoming, flexible, and extremely helpful (without being remotely intrusive) -- truly great people. We felt completely at-home here. When our family visited, we were able to utilize the additional studio space -- which was so great for us and for our family. The flat is well-equipped with modern amenities and is extremely well-maintained. The central location was perfect for us. Nearby to public transport, great restaurants and shopping. And we loved the neighborhood vibe. We simply can't wait to come back (soon!!)!
Owner response:And we couldn't have asked for such nice guests either !!!

This property took our breath away. The photos are extremely accurate, but in real like the property is absolutely amazing. Everything was clean and well stocked, and had a nice zen feel about it. This really helped make our week vacation truly unforgettable, especially with our six month old baby joining us. We rented the 2B/2B and it was perfect for us. The property is central to shopping, dining and parks, as well as transportation if needed. We had so much fun, and Hayes Valley is definitely a gem. Our host Ron was wonderful and genuine, and very sweet. He was extremely helpful and accomodating, and made sure everything was just right. We had a terrific time and counting the days until we can go back again. Without a doubt we would recommend this property!

We had a fabulous stay in this apartment and would definitely recommend it. I fell in love with the pictures on the website and was concerned that it wouldn't live up to the pictures...but it did! The apartment was clean and well equipped, with a fabulous kitchen, although the stove was difficult to figure out and we had to call the tenants upstairs, who had been staying in this apartment before we arrived, for help. The owners were not in town, but they had left us the phone number of a nearby friend, and we did indeed call him because there were not sufficient towels in the apartment. He apologized because he was in the process of laundering them, and he brought them over before too long. We loved Hayes Valley and walked down several evenings for dinner. I don't remember the names of where we went, but we did go to several of the places the owners had recommended. We cooked in the apartment a few evenings, and ordered in great pizza one night when it was pouring. I was recovering from knee surgery and found the walk to the metro not the easiest thing, but the rest of my family didn't mind it. One thing we didn't like was the difficulty of getting in and out of the garage. We had the inner space, and when the other tenants' car was in the garage, it was so tough that there were times we used public transportation instead. I know there's nothing that can be done about that, but I thought I'd mention it. One other thing that could easily be taken care of was that we found the living room a bit chilly, and it would have been great to have some throws on the couch. It was Christmastime, and we were there with out 2 grown daughters who drove up from Los Angeles (we're from Denver), and we spent quite a bit of time just enjoying being together in the apartment, watching movies on the large-screen TV. Our favorite outing was going to Alcatraz, which we all found fascinating. We also enjoyed the ferry to the island and spending some time along the water.
Owner response:Our friend that stayed to oversee while we traveled over the Holidays thought this family was so cute!! I suppose the only clarification is getting around: a big car can be difficult to pull in and out of the garage, and we would arrange for a different spot. And older folks do have a problem with the four block walk to the "antique trolley" (it's up and over a slight incline typical of SF!!), but there are also two bus lines within two blocks of the house. We're so glad the family enjoyed the quality of our home tho... and we'll put out "throws" on the couch to stay cozy in front of the fireplace!!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
