Great Location / Condo Needs Renovating

My husband, baby, and I recently stayed in this condo. The bottom line is, you get what you pay for. The Pros: Excellent location. 5 minute walk to an amazing beach, the community pool is pretty nice with BBQ area, Tennis courts across the street. The AC in bedroom works great but the rest of the unit stays fairly hot. The property managers are very attentive, friendly, and located on site. The Cons; It is 2 star hotel quality at best. The owner needs to put some money into renovating the place in order to make it a more pleasant stay. The bathroom is quite outdated, the bathtub is cracked, shower head corroded, lighting dim. The kitchen is functional however there is a hole under one of the cabinets where a family of cockroaches live. We killed 1-2 cockroaches per day (large ones, baby ones) which was quite unpleasant and left the lights on at night to prevent them from eating our food. The owner should seal the hole up to take care of this. The flooring is old, sheets are old, towels are old...you get the hint. Overall we had a nice stay, great time at the beach, but we were really happy to get home to our house without cockroaches.

Recommended for:Sightseeing.

My wife & I stayed here while visiting her family and it was lovely. The condo was nice & clean. The AC unit in the bedroom cooled the whole condo. Everything you would need was provided. It was the perfect place for us to stay.We plan to stay here whenever we come to Hawaii, which is at least once a year. Thank you Denny family.

My family enjoyed the stay at this condo! We loved its proximity to the beach and its cozy lanai. It is a great place to be especially if you have kids. One day we locked ourselves out and were amazed to see Mark running over to get the door for us....just great! It was our home away from home. Thank you Mark, Beverley and James we REALLY had fun. *****Beware of this property*****was promised items that the property offered and it was not true, we were told that the property offered air cond through the enrire rooms and when we arrived it was not true, we contacted the owner about this problem, but was told a refund would not be possible, we were so unhappy we moved to another property that offered full air cond.

Owner response:Mr CK tried to cancel his reservation with less than 24 hours notice and when he was told he could not get any refund he was frustrated and thus decided to make up an excuse to try and get a refund. The fact is that our condo has one large 220 watt digital air conditioner (which cools the entire unit just fine).

Great place to use as a home-base whilst exploring the breath-taking sights of the North Shore of Oahu.Or simply hang-out.Great dining within easy walking distance.Will be back and next time i will spend the whole vacation based in this perfect oasis within paradise.And if you go at the right time of year you are assured to see sea turtles coming in to shore for a rest and some sunbathing.THE highlight of the trip.

I booked this room for my family from 5/6/10 to 5/13/10. I am so happy that I found this condo rental. Mark was there to greet us the moment we arrived and was always available to answer any questions we had. The condo is well maintained and the only thing we had to bring was our clothes; the condo has everything else! We love staying on the North side of the island as it is much quieter than Waikiki. I highly recommend staying here; too bad our stay was only for 7 days.

The Turtle Bay condo was a great value for the money. Our unit was clean and comfortable with very nice furnishings. The patio opened onto the beautiful golf course and the condo was just a short walk to the resort hotel and its excellent restaurants.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Everything was wonderful and our trip went by so fast...didn't seem like a week at all. The condo was perfect for us and Turtle Bay is a true gem. We only got to see a tiny part of it. 880 acres is too much to explore in a week! See you next year. Mahalo.

Dear Mr and Mrs. Denny...Thank you again for sharing your beautiful unit with us. We had a blast! We've been to Hawaii many times and usually stay in Waikiki area and Laie Inn. Of all those times, this has been the most relaxing of all. It really was a home away from home. Our 2 handicapped girls had a blast at the pool and we all enjoyed the magical walks along the beach everyday. We hope to make this a yearly tradition. Again thank you soooo much. You have been wonderful and a delight to speak to. Mahalo again for making our vacation stay a memorable one. With much Aloha from the Leota's.
