We appreciated the warm welcome and the comfortable surroundings. The SmartCard for the Metro parking lot was very much appreciated as well. All in all we found the house conveniently located, roomy and a great place to relax after a long day of touring.

Our group of 6 adults spent the week of June 24 to July 1 in this great townhouse. The owner, Jon, was very quick to respond and answer all our questions. It is beautifully furnished, well maintained, and it worked out perfect for us. The bedrooms each having their own private bathroom was a real plus for us. We spent our days in Washington D.C. touring and it was wonderful to come back to a shared space with the living room, den, and kitchen for us to gather in instead of going back to hotel rooms for the evening. It was a short walk to the Metro which we used daily. It worked out to be a better deal for us to share this townhouse than to rent three hotel rooms and we had all the amenities of this lovely townhouse!

We are a multigenerational family of six traveling with kids and grandparents. We absolutely loved this town home. It was clean, cozy and quiet with four levels so everyone had room to relax. The neighborhood was quiet, with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The metro station was within a mile and made getting to and from sightseeing a breeze. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a quiet, spacious place to relax after a busy day of touring the city.

Spring Break 2011

We stayed here for Spring Break 2011 with 4 adults and 4 children. It is an excellent Townhome and excellent Location. We drove into DC all 4 days of our vacation and didn't encounter a single problem with transportation. The Townhouse is very well maintained and has everything our family needed for a wonderful vacation!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at Ashley's Get Away. The unit is well maintained & decorated. We enjoyed all the amenities that were available. Jon Trip, the property manager was very easy to work with & professional. He was also very responsive to our needs. Wed definitely recommend this place if you are vacationing in the area especially if you are traveling with a group of people.

This was a very nice place to stay. It was right off the main roads, but you would not even notice it. There was a grocery store near by and plenty of places to order food. There are buses available to get to the Metro station, but since it was only about a 20 minute walk, we walked every day. Jon was very helpful in making our stay enjoyable. With all the room, it was much nicer than staying at a hotel. Thanks again for everything.

I loved this place! Its a beautiful home in a very convenient area. Its spacious ... multiple rooms and bathrooms. My family loved the deck right outside of the kitchen! I would definitely recommend this place and if I'm ever in the Alexandria area again, I would stay here again! JANETTE

Great place to use for visiting DC and the environs

There were 5 and sometimes 6 of us at the house and it was perfect for what we wanted. We needed a place for us to have dinner and to use as a base to visit DC nearly every day we were there. The pass for the Metro station was greatly appreciated. The home was clean and well maintained. We did use a screw driver on the set screw of the dead bolt on the front door to keep it from falling off - minor repair. We also could have used a towel rack in the downstairs bathroom to dry our hands. But overall, we really enjoyed staying there. It was convenient to Mount Vernon and Old Alexandria and we had a great time there. We would recommend it to anyone who is interested in visiting DC and needs a base. The owner answered questions before hand and we did not need anything answered while there. It was as described.

We spent a week in this lovely home, with our family of six. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and found it to be perfect (our kids are all ages). We also enjoyed entertaining friends there, and found there was ample room. Each bedroom is spacious with it's own bathroom, and the extra air mattresses afforded everyone their own bed. Jon was terrific, and was very accomodating and accessible. The townhouse is even more beautiful than the photographs depict, and the location was great for visiting D.C. every day and local shopping. We hope to come back!
