Completely remodeled beach house at one of the best stretches of beach and surf in Los Angeles County. Secure gated entry. Spacious, private deck set up for al fresco dining with captivating view of 35th Street surf. Three panel “bi-fold” doors connect deck to living area within. Interior is finished with bamboo plank floors, custom drapery, beadboard cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite counters and overstuffed sofa beds.
There is counter seating and a sunny breakfast nook. Custom bathroom with sunken tile shower. Listen to the surf at night: two bedrooms, one with queen, and one with two oversized twins. Two sofa beds in living room. Flat screen wall mounted TV and 5.1 entertainment system in living area.
Surfboards, beach chairs and five beach cruiser bikes available for our guests. Garage has luggage storage. The double wide carriage door is coded for easy accessibility and fits two cars.
Nine eateries, two with bars are within one block's walking distance up on Highland Avenue. Local market is two blocks away. Downtown Manhattan Beach with fantastic shopping, the pier, the supermarket, the fish and meat market and a variety of great dining alternatives (yes, there is Starbucks, Pete's, Noah’s Bagels and Jamba Juice) is only a fifteen minute walk from our beach house along the beautiful Manhattan Beach Strand. The Strand is the walkway that parallels the beach with beautiful homes on one side and sand dunes overlooking the surf and bike path on the other side.

Year Purchased: 2008
I discovered Manhattan Beach in 1980 when I was fresh out of the University of Colorado, Boulder. Our family loves Manhattan Beach. We surf, boogie board, skimboard, play volleyball, jog, sunbath, read, bike and use our barbeque and hang out on the deck. We love pancakes at Uncle Bill's Pancake House and fish tacos at Wahoo's! Come stay at our remodeled beach house, you will dig it! Scott, Meredie and family.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last week and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect. It is just a short walk down a pedestrian street to a great stretch of manhattan beach. Walk one block east and there are tons of really cute local places to eat and drink. The view from the deck is worth a million bucks and you can hear the waves crash throughout the flat. The inside is cozy, beachy, and very well maintained, with a great kitchen and grill for some home-cooked seafood dinners. Scott, the owner, is responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We can't wait to stay here again!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.
