Very nice home on the beach. Owner was very nice and understanding. A few minor issues with the home as far as maintenance. Overall very happy. Would definitely stay again. The location made it very worth while. Quite and beautiful beach with a wonderful hot tub.

This was perfect for us (6 adults.) Two of us were in the bottom of the bunk bed, but that was okay. We had some trouble with the TV in the main room, but finally got it working. The location to Cannon Beach was great and to the ocean. Upper Crust pizza was very good. A couple of lights were working, but all in all it was wonderful.

Awesome house and amazing beach!
Awesome house and amazing beach!
This was everything we hoped for and more. The house is clean and comfortable. Te kitchen is well stocked. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. We loved sitting at the kitchen table and listening to the waves and seeing the beautiful view. The best part of the vacation for us was the beach. Wow. It is an amazing flat sandy beach. We built sandcastles, the boys skim boarded and the little ones played in the waves. The people of rockaway beach were very kind and helpful. We would recommend this house and location to anyone looking to make long lasting memories. The owners are fantastic and easy to get a hold of and nothing was not as described.

Great Family Home
Great Family Home
This is a wonderful place to bring a family in the summer. It was very relaxing and is remote. Rockaway is rural. Good for exercising, beach combing, hiking weather permitting. Views are breathtaking. We worked one of the puzzles in the cabinet. Played games, and watched a movie. I donated the movie to the house for future viewers. Our Verizon phone service worked just fine at the house. We had to go to Cannon to find a restaurant that we enjoyed. Only one lock box worked after many attempts. I have stayed at several VRBO and was disappointed in the brevity of kitchen towels (1 provided - 1 washcloth), paper towels (1 roll only provided) and toilet paper ran out in one of the three bathrooms during our stay (there were two of us using that bathroom exclusively). NO Kleenex. I am on vacation - I will bring the fun foods we want to nosh on etc - but really - there should be the basic paper products that I would find in a hotel sufficient to complete my stay. This vexed me and interferred with my pleasure of the home. It appeared stingy.

Owner response: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We agree that it’s a wonderful place to escape. We sincerely apologize that the unit was under-supplied with towels. We replenish dish towels, wash cloths, hand towels and bathroom towels regularly, but unfortunately, they always seem to disappear over time. As of December 1st, we have switched cleaning and maintenance providers, and we will ensure that they have access to an adequate supply of towels, etc. and that they monitor levels after each booking. Thanks again for the feedback. Hope to host you again on your next visit to the Oregon Coast!
Excellent beach getaway
Excellent beach getaway
Having never been to Rockaway beach I had no idea what to expect. I hoped for beach access and a place to have a getaway with friends. All of us were blown away by the amazing view of the ocean from the house, the beach (literally out the backdoor down a path), the beach walk to town for some delicious fried clam strips, the twin rocks in the distance--just so beautiful!! The house was perfect for our group--enough beds for everyone and a great big room upstairs for all of us to hang out. We made some delicious meals in the kitchen that could accommodate plenty of cooks and there were chairs for all of us on the back porch. A wonderful, quiet, relaxing girls getaway!

A great location on the Oregon Coast
A great location on the Oregon Coast
We booked this house for a teenager's birthday "sleepover" party--six girls and us two adults. The girls had plenty to do both at the house (all sorts of games and tv options) and also nearby. They loved the huge sand dune that they could race each other down but maybe the "coolest" thing was to jump in the cold surf and then race back to hop in the jacuzzi. The room with the bunk beds was a hit too. For the adults (and the kids), the view from the top floor was outstanding. We had sunshine the first day and it was nice to just sit and watch the sun set. That night, a storm rolled in and the next morning, we watched the wind make the trees sway and the surf churn. Watching that from the big picture windows (and with a big cup of coffee in our hands) was just about perfect. Food-wise, there are a couple of choices in restaurants nearby but the "big city" is Tillamook, about 15 minutes away. I suggest cooking a meal (or just pizzas) in the kitchen and enjoying the view from the house instead. Happy travels!

This house was at a beautiful location and our family had a wonderful time. The split level was very nice and we really enjoyed the private beach access, our 89 year old grandmother had no trouble getting to the beach. The house did have some problems that interfered with our vacation, mainly the refridgerator was not working properly and did not keep the food cool at all. The stove also was not heating properly and made it difficult to cook meals for large groups. If these issues are addressed then we would definatly rent this house again. I loved the large assortment of games and the inclusion of toddler games was very nice.

We had an amazing weekend at your house. The view was incredible, and watching the storm roll in off the ocean was absolutely magical. The location was the perfect getaway, thank you again for sharing your house with us!!
